  1. Uh...TIE interceptor's in FoC, as is B-Wing...and the TIE Phantom V-Wing airspeeder is done and done with 1 request to bailknight. I got the shuttle to fire missiles and lasers like seerdons but someone from petroglitch made its fire bones face left (or right, i don't remeber) (which looks wrong) instead of forward (which looks right), but point is, it fire to the side. Ungh. I can code all of this and make all the maps. I just need the models ... X-Wing with Ion Cannon...blah I'll just use the switch weapon code the Droideka mk2 has. Y-Wing with bombs is in vanilla EaW as a groundvehicle. Its just that its not very effective. A few tweaks and done. N-1, I don't remeber being in ANY of the RS games other than by cheating... ...and to get the existing ones not to fade druing a ground battle GRRR...(at the fading, not at you). That ALWAYS ruins my crashed ship maps... I'd appriciate it if you'd make me icons though. I can only use MTD editor and I don't own photoshop and suck too much at GIMP to make icons with alpha channels The friggin landing pad is in vanilla EaW. Just play that carida mission again...or the freisa one... >.> And they are separate from a base. Just place some (land) TIE fighters on them and bam you're done. I'll need to downsize everything on land maps though, just to make it more interesting for the dogfights...and let the fighters be easier to select (no more flying off the edge of the map). Enough for now... SAU needs damage smoke...and damage blasts.

From the way the assault frigate mk.2 has those bubbly-thingys, it looks more like a mon calimari ship than a modified dreadnaught (I'm willing to be StarWars.com is wrong on the dreadnaught modificatuib detail as well as a 600m long tartan). The "new" assault frigate mk.2 looks even more like Mon Calamari design.

  6. Extract the meg, don't package it. FoC demo can read extracted MEg files. G'Day, and thank you.

  8. First off, XMLs are ALWYAS in the Config.MEG, even in normal EaW. The mod tools just extracted the file for you. Secondly, why would you need to edit it inside the MEG? It'd just make it more complicated to debug. An extractor works fine, or perhaps better. Now, that last point is agreeable with, although I still don't get the point, placing edited XMLs in a MEG file will require you put ALL the XMLs in, because the game will NO LONGER fil in the missing ones from the original. That's bad for compression. ALWAYS, ALWAYS extract your files from the MEG and use MODPATH. That way, reparing your game will be as easy as simply not clicking the modpath batch file, rather than a reinstallation (I've learned my lesson, I had to reinstall because I messed with the MEGs.) In short, DO NOT MESS WITH MEG FILES IN COMPRESSED FORM, unless its absolutely nescessary (which now I think nothing is, everything can be simply placed in the folders)
  9. TIE Fighters and Y-Wings were the most common starfighters in existence at the beginning part of the GCW. So its not hard to see large, well-preserved hulks of either fighter floating around after a large battle. Interceptors were rarer so they had to put it together with other ships in a creative way.
  10. Fire bones have a facing...its too bad that the ALO veiwer can't see which way the bones are pointing...
  11. There are Escort Carriers and Combat Escort Carriers. One is a flying fighter bay, the other is an escort frigate/hangar ship. I know that the Combat Escort Carriers are in the Geonosis mission (it says on wookiepedia, named "Combat Escort Carriers" inder participants), but in the fondor level it says just "Escort Carriers". If you've played the game, please go edit wookiepedia so it says the right ships under the participants...

  13. See that is why we need to put a limit on its fire cone.otherwise, it'd shoot through itself which looks ugly ( it will NEVER hurt itself)
  14. They're good Starfighter Piloting games...for the N64/Gamecube. Now why didn't they release a computer version... I don't want to buy the games on gamecube for my friend and go over to his house every time I want to play :-\ Good...Good.. good...good... Slightly confused but uh...ok...   18. I have a new video card my computer doesn't accept its driver WAA!!! Its not that i don't want to turn up the shaders, or get a new card that can, its that my computer doesn't accept the new card's driver...or any new card's driver *cries*
  19. Isn't kolthis in RS2? And whats with the horrible image quality for the RS3 shots... Thanks... wow we'll need tons of new models. (i'd rather have map layout pics, readouts of units whatnot though)

  21. Argh I see this a little too late, but I have the same problem as Dark Dragon with the missing textures... If you tell me to turn up the shaders, I can't. The game DOES NOT LET ME PHYSICALLY TURN SHADERS ABOVE LOWEST. If you tell me to get a new graphics card, I can't. My computer does not accept new drivers from newer cards. If you tell me to get a new computer, I can't. I'm broke after buying the new graphics card. gg me. I lose.

  23. Ok people. I'm with Logan Felipe on this one, well about the graphics. Ok, I'm fine with playing on High Graphics as long as its singleplayer (I have a crappy video card, makes absolutly NO difference to game speed). Once I pop online, its down to 10 fps (lag) from 100 (smooth). I have no idea why it drops to 10%, but if you want multiplayer support for your mod, INCLUDE LOW GRAPHIC SETTINGS. Because the truth is, not all of us are going to buy a new graphics card just to play your mod, and not everyone is going to buy a new video card when their old one hasn't burned out yet. Not having the OPTION to turn down your graphics is just plain limiting, likewise with turning up. There's a REASON they made detail levels. Its os that you can find the setting you'rem ost comfortable with. DragonShadow, if you like it at high them leave it there, if your game runs smooth it great. But for people that just don't have the graphics or CPU power to run on high, they should be able to have a mode on which they can play as well. There's one thing I'm critical about on SAU models. They don't have damage blasts or damage smoke yet. I do not belive that a model absolutely needs breakoffs, it's sometimes unrealistic t have large chunks of the hull get blown off. But and damaged reigon should at least LOOK damaged.
