  1. No thats max_fire_range. The fire cone specifies the radius and height of which the unit can fire. Of couser, if you want it to be able o fire in all directions, use a width of 360 and a height of 180. Its all measured in degrees. In 1upD's example, it would be able to fire in a cone that is 1 degree wide and 10 degrees high from the fire bone (which means it fires dead straight)
  2. The hacker's glory is ok... Just weird. TIEs aren't made to be modular...or lond lasting....noone modifies TIEs unless they reall don't have money for anything else... For now, just use the additional muzzles (MuzzleB_00/01) for the extra launchers
  3. You do NOT want to mess with the exe. Lets just leave it at that. The exe is the executable...the actual program of EaW, the engine. If you screw that up the only thing left for you is a reinstall. Noone touch the exe.
  4. All hardpoints and ships have a "Fire cone"....think of a cone, that the sharp point is at the fire bone. The width is how WIDE the cone is...as in, which directions it can fire, as in can it fire all around. Height is how High and Low the cone is, as in, can it fire directly overhead? Put Height, Width and Max_Fire_Distance and you have its entire firing range.
  5. Sure...I just never seen anything about RSIII so I never knew how it was like. (I read the whole RSII strategy guide for some strange reason...oh wait, a friend bought it to school and i read it when i normally would have been asleep in class LOL)

  7. Wow that never happened to me. I did the same thing and the map still runs. The units are now just not there... I feel sorry for you who now can never make maps again...lol
  8. Oh lol that's not the stealth ability. The tie phatom is just semitransparent (from the alpha value of the skin, i think). Nothing to do with a triggered stealth ability. But the invisible on radar thing is good...

  10. Thats not my problem I HAVE the upgrade parts, its just that my computer utterly rejects them. I don't feel like buying a new computer, reformatting, and reinsatlling windows just to get a damn driver to work.
  11. Um...I doubt this whole thing works at ALL. Why else would there be the list of ship names and text files in GAMECONSTANTS.XML if all you need is to put Tags?

ITS A GAME, SCREW SCALING AS LONG AS IT RUNS SMOOTH AND YOU CAN FRIGGEN SEE EVERYTHING WITHOUT ZOOMING IN 1000000000 TIMES!!!!! (Or outwards likewise) I actually like how petro scaled the ships. You nitpickers friggin take a space shuttle to the Star Wars galaxy if you really like realism so much. STAR WARS IS NOT REALISTIC! I'm sorry for the spam and the spazzin but you people fail to see an important fact: you are delusional. Who decided the scalings? Some random people. I doubt Lucas himself gave squat about how many meters a tartan is. He couldn't care LESS. And he fricken created the whole name Star Wars...
  13. Uh to make the lasers sound like lasers, just put Unit_Rebel_Ship_Laser_Fire for the laser hardpoint/the unit.

(For size refernce use the Anti-Infanrty turrets as normal AI turret size)

  20. Al righty the new TIEs require abosolutely no changes, well aside from the phanto, you;d need to get rid of STEALTH ability. so just copy em over
  21. I doubt we could make maps large enough to fit more than two ISDs then. There's a limitation on EaW's engine on how large a map can be...definately NO SSDs will fit.
  22. Golans are space stations Death star is a BATTLE Station. and it'd have to be able to move or it'd be pretty frikcen useless! Golans = no hyperspace.
  23. MTD editor, go to Mike.nl's site (its got a whole bunch of ther sweet tools) GIMP, google it. Or google GNU Image Manipulation Program.
  24. Well, we're not allowed to release the models to public, or the converted anims, so you'll have to download the model, and convert the Animations yourself. The coding is as FAR as we can release without petro sueing us.
