  1. The Skiff could be an unlockable reward for successful commanders or something.
  2. http://www.sw-eaw.de/galerie/org/253.jpg
  3. Nice list. Only hope you can manage all of that! I'd still contest that the AT-IC and AT-AP are artillery units, though.
  4. Judging by the multiple Naboo skiffs in ROTS, Padme's last ship was quite popular with Senators and aides in the Senate. And they're armed.
  5. I like that the cover-artist made the Eclipse's superlaser more phallic and enlarged than in the actual story.
  6. You don't need to be a nerd to read the opening post, but you do need to be more than an idiot.
  7. Ah, yes, I've checked the names more closely now, only the Vengeance would be considered less than a dreadnought. I think battlecruiser would fit its design well. It's got lots of engines, a sleek profile and there doesn't seem to be as much room for guns as the other mentioned designs. Yeah, I think Vengeance-class Star Battlecruiser would be a nice name for it (barring any real class-name. Damn you, Lucas Licensing!!!) ;D
  8. Do note that, not all of these are in the 'Star Dreadnought' region, some are intermediary designs, like Star Cruisers, Star Battlecruisers and Star Battleships. I'd say since this is gonna be a fan-mod, you might as well take a look at the fansite Technical Commentaries, where they've tried to figure out the size and function of some of these bad boys.
  9. The Rebels have: - ISP speeder - T-47 airspeeder - T-2B repulsortank - T-4B tank - MPTL-2a artillery The Imperials have: - 74-Z speeder bike - AT-ST - TIE Mauler - 2M repulsortank - AT-AA - AT-AP - AT-AT - SPMA-T I'd say the Rebels need all the stuff they can get their hands on. ;P
  10. Artillery units tend not to have strong armor, as the point of most artillery-types (excluding assault guns) is to stay behind the main advancing force and deliver devastating bombardment.
  11. Ah, that's a novel idea. Nice.
  12. I'm sorry for not commenting before, the idea sounded great, but I was only gonna ask for units. (Which you now posted, so that's alright, then.) I always look out for IU evidence for different units, and so far most of the things you have on that list checks out. The only things I were wondering about: Is this an Imperial unit? So far, I've only seen it (and similar units) with Rebel forces. There's no sources showing this in the OT-era, although you'd think with the Empire calling SPMA-Ts 'Medium Artillery', they would still have the 'Heavy Artillery' around (otherwise, why not call the new model 'Heavy' since there wouldn't be anything bigger anymore?) The A4 Juggernaut was considered obsolete by the OT-era, IIRC. It might have seen some service with extremely under-equipped forces, but that would be it... The AT-TE and A6 Juggernaut have similar standing from what I've been able to gather: They are both connected to the Empire via their profiles on the OS (which links to the OT era+ Empire, so if they meant to say they weren't in that era, they would have written so already.) However, no other source has so far depicted them in that setting. For instance, the Empire comics show A5 Juggernauts and AT-TEs with their guns and top half taken off (used as cargo walkers). This is also a reason why I want them in EaW, to solidify their continued existence as Imperial vehicles. However, the OS information is good enough for me. The AT-IC is actually an artillery unit, an AT-AT hull with its back opened up to carry a large ion cannon assembly. It presumably has to turn around in order to fire this main weapon. The presence of UT-ATs, AT-HEs and AT-RTs in the OT-era is not yet documented, so I'm a bit iffy on those, even though there's nothing to suggest they were not still in use. There's also an issue with not knowing the true appearance of the AT-HE. Other than this minor quibbles, I have nothing but good things to say about your plans. Good luck!
  13. I think it's somewhat ok, but they really should have had most of this stuff up on the official site. What's wrong with say, a Feature Friday, or whatever they called it on SW:Galaxies? Release a tiny bit of info each Friday up until release. Once in a while profile a unit, talk about strategy/technical info, things like that. Would keep the community busy for a while, without drying up the subjects completely. It's been, what, three months since we've had new screenshots? There was the trailer, of course, but it didn't really show anything truly new, only improved graphics on stuff we already knew about.
  14. Would you people please stop saying this or that "should be in"? Because you're just preaching to the choir here. Petroglyph will do what they want anyway, so let's wait and see if there's some concrete evidence forthcoming.
  15. The 'Pod walker' is the AT-AP, and it looks like the Empire has it in recent screenshots. It might be a vehicle for both sides, or the Rebels have to steal it, or the Rebel version has been cut since the video. There's also the T-4b tank for the Rebels (the big one with two turrets).
  16. Whatever. I really don't care if the Ex is in or not.
  17. AT-AP

Its probably Inflatokitty or some other douchebag from the Lucasarts forum.
  18. The comic/novel DE is from the early 90s, that cover is from 2003 or 2004, IIRC. It's a nice tie-in with the PT, only wish they had gotten an artist who could draw things proportionally. Just look at that bloated command-tower! Incidently, in the first part of DE I, there's a ship in the Byss fleet that looks like a Venator with extra cargo space behind the command-tower: http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a242/CptK/Venator-Byss.jpg
  19. Hoth exists as a place prior to the events of ESB, you know. And the game doesn't end specifically at ANH, they only use the battle against the DS as one of many possible endings. (I wish people would actually understand the difference by now).
  20. Yup, that's the name. Still no reason to not give it acronyms like the others. Since we've seen later, cleaner screenshots of the AT-AP in Imperial formation, they might have left it as strictly Imperial, with its Rebel appearances being cut out. Unless, of course, you actually can steal Imperial units. Oh well, another thing to wait for...
  21. Since the AT-AT is called an 'AT-AT' and the AT-ST an 'AT-ST', I see no logic in calling the AT-AP a 'Pod Walker'. Maybe they got the unit before the name was official...?
  22. It's a SPMA-T, the SPHA-Ts ugly decendent. (Sorry, I just don't like the protruding fins at the front).
  23. If he's right, and Delphi made a mistake, I'll be a bit more vary about other aspects in the game. j/k ;P
  24. Yep, that's the only one I can remember. Case closed. ;P
  25. Sorry for bringing this up, but did it occur to the "No Venator"-crowd that the Victory has been named and sighted in screenshots throughout this year? And that the Venator-info was revealed just a few weeks ago by Delphi-PG? You'd think he would have worded himself differently if he had been speaking about the Victory: Which he just did with that post. Leaking something that has been known for almost a year is pointless. You'd also think someone working on this game for this long would have asked "Hey, is this that ship from Ep. 3?" And at least gotten a proper answer from people at Lucasarts or Lucasfilm, who would be able to recognize the difference between this: http://starwars.wikicities.com/images/3/35/Victory_Star_Destroyer.jpg and this: http://starwars.wikicities.com/images/4/4e/Imperial_Fleet.jpg Also, how anyone could turn a spelling error ('i' instead of 'a') into a completely different word, is beyond me. Bravo if you can do it! Someone should also tell that guy who spelled 'Vinitir' that lying and misquoting someone isn't helpful to their case. ;P
