Ghostly, if you know what you are doing.. and don't even try this if you dont, you can clean the information out of the registry. That should take care of the problem.
Eh? You are in the US, you know how voting works. This should be a done deal. I agree that pff isn't the best name in the world, but it is the lesser of 3 evils.
I don't think it will matter as I don't think they can be turned off in the campaign mode, just skirmish. Thus, no Death Star to worry about when heros are turned off.
Since the developers are in the US, the info will probably be released sometime tomorrow between 7am and 7pm Central Standard Time. Of course, the newsletter is via e-mail so anyone who was already subscribed to it before December for example could take a look at the header in your e-mail to see what time you got it and post it here (please list the timezone that the time is based on as well).
A few Imperial high commanders did take advantage of the dissaray that the Emperor's death caused to sieze control of areas and basically become warlords (all of this is in EU). But, the normal ISD captain is a soldier, not a beaurocrat. The situation described in that article will be what you will run into in 1999 of the 2000 ISDs you would come across.
Where do you get that information? Where was there ever a female Imperial trooper, officer, etc. other than EU developed years after the original trilogy?
Someone else needs to chime in on this thread as it is turning into a delayed chat, but anyway. http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Tactics/TrekkieCombat-2.html Click on this link to get a good description of what an attempted capture of an Imperial ship would be like. Skip to the actual engagement and substitute Rebels for Federation. The important piece of this article to pay attention to is how the Imperials react to the boarding and capture attempt.
Ship capture may be possible if there is something you can do with the code behind what happens when Chewie captures an Imperial ground unit. This kind of thing is what will be most interesting to see once we get ahold of the demo/game and the tools they provide.
With what has been said about losing the game if the Emperor or Mon Mothma gets killed, I would imagine the final battle being around a planet that houses Mon Mothma. The rebels will try despirately to take out the Death Star and if they fail, the game will end with a dramatic destruction of the planet she is on.
Who knows. I would prefer she have an ability that allows her to shoot rebel inf units one shot kill for a limited amount of time, like the Snipers for the US in Generals. Maybe call it 'Assasinate'.
Even if they did put in orbital bombardment in at the last minute, there is .00001% chance that they would model the Victory Destroyer entering the atmosphere to bombard.
"maximilian veers he controls a at-at prototype that drops off stormtroopers. he can temporarily increace his at-ats firepower noticably." Uh, does this mean that the only AT-AT that can drop off stormtroopers is the unique unit Veers?
