  1. This will have to wait until we find out what exactly we are working with.
  2. Ghostly, if you know what you are doing.. and don't even try this if you dont, you can clean the information out of the registry. That should take care of the problem.
  3. Eh? You are in the US, you know how voting works. This should be a done deal. I agree that pff isn't the best name in the world, but it is the lesser of 3 evils.
  4. At any rate, we should have our questions back tomorrow.
  5. Sheesh you guys really know how to run away with a thread, don't you?
  6. As of right now, you have your 50% majority for pff.
  7. I don't think it will matter as I don't think they can be turned off in the campaign mode, just skirmish. Thus, no Death Star to worry about when heros are turned off.
  8. When did Delphi tell us that? Was it in relation to Skirmish or Campaign mode?
  9. It has been confirmed that we can name our ships, so I assume that means capital ships. What about fighter groups, ground troops, facilities, etc.?
  10. Since the developers are in the US, the info will probably be released sometime tomorrow between 7am and 7pm Central Standard Time. Of course, the newsletter is via e-mail so anyone who was already subscribed to it before December for example could take a look at the header in your e-mail to see what time you got it and post it here (please list the timezone that the time is based on as well).
  11. I am not asking for more trivia, I am asking where do statements like this one come from? The books of the first trilogy or EU?
  12. A few Imperial high commanders did take advantage of the dissaray that the Emperor's death caused to sieze control of areas and basically become warlords (all of this is in EU). But, the normal ISD captain is a soldier, not a beaurocrat. The situation described in that article will be what you will run into in 1999 of the 2000 ISDs you would come across.
  13. Where do you get that information? Where was there ever a female Imperial trooper, officer, etc. other than EU developed years after the original trilogy?
  14. Someone else needs to chime in on this thread as it is turning into a delayed chat, but anyway. http://www.stardestroyer.net/Empire/Tactics/TrekkieCombat-2.html Click on this link to get a good description of what an attempted capture of an Imperial ship would be like. Skip to the actual engagement and substitute Rebels for Federation. The important piece of this article to pay attention to is how the Imperials react to the boarding and capture attempt.
  15. Ship capture may be possible if there is something you can do with the code behind what happens when Chewie captures an Imperial ground unit. This kind of thing is what will be most interesting to see once we get ahold of the demo/game and the tools they provide.
  16. By the way, on that vein, do we know whether or not abilities will be modable? And how would that work?
  17. Um, guys... he was joking. Sheesh.
  18. Both of those events happened after the death of the Emperor. Current (EAW timeline) doctrine would dictate self destruction rather.
  19. What part of Imperial military doctrine would make you think that any Imperial ship would surrender?
  20. With what has been said about losing the game if the Emperor or Mon Mothma gets killed, I would imagine the final battle being around a planet that houses Mon Mothma. The rebels will try despirately to take out the Death Star and if they fail, the game will end with a dramatic destruction of the planet she is on.
  21. Who knows. I would prefer she have an ability that allows her to shoot rebel inf units one shot kill for a limited amount of time, like the Snipers for the US in Generals. Maybe call it 'Assasinate'.
  22. That we do not know yet. Most likely it will be something like that.
  23. Even if they did put in orbital bombardment in at the last minute, there is .00001% chance that they would model the Victory Destroyer entering the atmosphere to bombard.
  24. "maximilian veers he controls a at-at prototype that drops off stormtroopers. he can temporarily increace his at-ats firepower noticably." Uh, does this mean that the only AT-AT that can drop off stormtroopers is the unique unit Veers?
  25. Well, that is what I mean... where are we seeing it again and again?
