  1. *On the edge of known space, Darkmark uses his new psychic abilities to identify the struggle between the one with the monkey fettish who warmed him in space and a general of some sort. He also wonders why the hell they're fighting over a bar of chocolate. Not really caring he gets back to the good vs evil thoughts*
  2. With any luck you're all just subconsciously identifying the number one and two seed in this competition. That's probably it, yes... sounds much better than not being liked.
  3. I added you into both the official one and Plo's above post. We'll need a number or vague location to be put into, Sparky if you're interested. I made a suggestion how I thought would be the best way to run it in the main thread, but it's up to Plokoon9619 and anyone else organising it. On another note, is it that people don't like Me and SirNuke. From a quick look at the list you can see we've been iscolated already.
  4. Heh, I caught an episode of that late one night. Seemed pretty funny. He invaded a small island on a lake looking for somewhere to found a country with an armed forces of one guy. He had a T-shirt with 'Invasion Army' on it. I would have watched more of the proper episodes as they came out, but they put them on at the same time as Lost, so I watch/watched that instead.
  5. I'll bet they have the march in, along with a lot of EP1-3 musics. I can't imagine them restricting the musical side of the game by the time frame. Consider that some years of the game take place when no film happens, so you'd miss a whole chunk of music. It just makes sense they'd use all the popular ones for the game musics.
  6. There will be bound to be some snippets we can gain from it. It all depends on the calibur of questioning. I'm not holding out much hope for that though, I think our own question and answer will come back with much more interesting answers.
  7. *...and that asteroid is hurtling towards a sun at speeds larger than you can possibly imagine... Gen.Vader puts on sunglasses*
  8. I thought it was ok. No extreme either way for me. I figured it was cleverly put together, but truth be told I'm sure the overriding themes could have been handled better. They could also have been handled much worse.
  9. I figure it'll be a mix of old things seen in the Germany exhibition, as well as some of the things they've changed since. I'm sure they'll have at least on new map, and balance I'm sure will be more accurate to what we're to get in the final game. I couldn't vote a mix of both, so I just voted for new stuff. They know how much we know already and how much we look forwward to the demo, Lucasarts and Petroglyph will want to broaden those desires. The demo will no doubt be the last major source of new information until the full release. Isn't it December yet? Dang.
  10. There's plenty left that this game will offer. You just need to get over the fact it isn't inclusive of later Episodes and start thinking about the positives we all know about.
  11. Star Wars RTS. I will buy this game. There isn't any reason behind it really other than the fact I still want it. To me that's all that matters. The fact it's star wars and an RTS does appeal to me but I'd like to make certain that I have many reasons still for wanting it.
  12. That sounds like it isn't 1 - 1 balancing. From that it actaully sounds like a single Mon Cal Cruiser can't go 1 on 1 with a SD and expect to win, which is what we come to expect from the films. I expect the whole game is balanced very carefully to stick as close as they can to the balance in the films without making gameplay in favor of any one race.
  13. Darkmark gets 106,000 results That's got to be pretty good. I probably beat quite lot of you guys. For those of you brave enough why not try yourself against Cain...
  14. *Somewhere beyond the edge of the universe, a floating being that used to be Darkmark feels a great disturbance in the force, as if some random people cried out in pain/happiness. Damn, it distracted his train of thought. He'd almost decided which side to join as well. Darn crispy burning people.*
  15. Aren't we all.
  16. I'll just take the time to say thank you for clearing this matter up. It just goes to show how such a small series of events can balloon up into something much bigger through miscommunication. Thanks again.
  17. It's more about lack of communication, but let's be fair. This situation was handled badly, and I personally would very much have wanted to run the whole thing along the lines of what Jan Gaarni pointed out, but on the whole the mods do a good job. The number does help the forum stay in check. The truth is there isn't much you can pin a scapegoat to. I think the whole of this was that it blew out of hand with some very poorly worded posts, the strength Cain puts into his posts, some lack of co-ordination among us mods resulting in twice locking the same post, and that desire everyone in the community has to prove that a SSD really was in there, reading into every word as if we're infallible. It's due to a lot of factors, and I for one am glad it's finally over, despite that meaning we won't be seeing a ssd in game.
  18. I think we have to bear in mind that certain units can be built earlier than they did in the films. Before any bright spark decides that that could apply to the SSD, it obviously doesn't from Delphi's response. What this does tell us is that the timespan of the game may be a lot shorter than many of us previously believed.
  19. Like I said before, it all looked a bit 'dodgy while these things were worked out and while petroglyph were contacted. This with any luck puts an end to the rumor, or at least puts it on a footing where it usually resided. I have half a mind to unlock the SSD topic now, but for the most part I think this whole experience is better left behind us. Delphi's action is perhaps the better way to say goodbye to the whole stupid mixup of messages.
  20. We're sorry about this, and we're bound to rectify the situation soon, but the events of today behind the scenes do require us to take some action on specific threads. I must admit this all does look very 'dodgy' from an outside perspective, but please bear with us. Cain and the mods are doing their utmost to get things settled.
  21. Ok, I put you in the spot under Little.B like you asked. I couldn't see any others we missed, but I'll take another look.
  22. I'm tempted by the whole clan thing, but at the same times I have big reservations. garbageben covered some of them, but I know I'm going to find it hectic with uni work and everything. I'll continue to think on it. I can always join later I suppose when it's properly up and running.
  23. Sorry it's taken so long to post any feedback. I've been a bit snowed over with University work recently and have had no desire to read anything beyond course texts, but I've taken the time to read through the first chapter and prologue. The prologue I found a little disrupting, I think it's the perspective of the narrator and using the past in a pre-determining way. It's a pity because reading Chapter One the narrative style changes and you really find your niche. Of all the pieces here this I found one of the best style wise. In terms of story I felt it moved slowly, but that isn't a bad thing consideriong it's part of a larger piece and is setting up character and surroundings. Sometimes I felt you could have explained things in a greater detail, but one of the flaws some writers have is to explain unecessary points they would believe of interest, so choose points to expand upon carefully. Usually an extra line here and there will suffice. I enjoyed what I've read so far and will get to reading the rest in time. It's good. One of the best I've seen on this site so far. Then again it might just be I'm sick of reading 18 century stuff and this is a welcome break. Either way, what I've read I found well written and entertaining.
  24. Darth Vader wins against Luke Skywalker, by the way. Poor Luke.
  25. He's posting as a guest at the bar I suppose there's no harm in it at the moment, but it's something we need to keep our eyes on.
