Was one of those events I was scanning the LEC forums for some sort of logical post and Ghostly and Cain's names kept popping up. One of their sigs lead me here. Still took me two months or so to start posting here though, it was pretty quiet here those early days...

It's spelt Huzzah. I know. English student. As for the tournament, due to timezones, we'll have slight difficulty arranging times when two people can do battle. At that point in time we'll have to be a little patient, because people will have commitments and need to sleep during the night. I wouldn't think we'd get many dropouts to be honest, but keeping accepting people until the people joining stops seems like a good idea to me. Then if anyone drops we just adapt the way the games are played rounds wise to be slightly smaller.

^Still has the highest post count on the forum, so shouldn't feel so bad. Congrats on the admin positon Ghostly.

Ok, that helps. It obviously isn't considered a serious legal threat. Thanks for all the help. It really all does assist me making a decision.

It's probably under the early stages of construction when you start considering the time period, we see it being constructed at the end of ep3...

I'm a little suspicious of 1.3.1 because of the legal ramifications. I know it was free while introduced, but now they have the pay system for the 2.0 and more update versions. From what I can tell, it covers 1.3.1 making it no longer legal to use without the licence you'd purchase with 2.0 etc. I don't want my webspace to revoke the space since to use 1.3.1 without a licence is considered illegal. I think... Having said that, it does look much better phpBB (No offense intended. These forums are great, honest )... I guess I'll have to see what the others in the group have to say about it. I'll go for one of the two I'm sure, they seeem to be the leading groups as far as free forums are concerned. Thanks for your help.

We have a similar topic like this in the bar. The consensus is we'll always have things to talk about. Sure enough, we've talked a lot since that topic was first posted, and about many different areas we've not fully explored. We'll continue to discuss things regardless. A forum with no talk is a dead forum. We aren't even close to that.

I expected that from the earlier posts, so I had a look at them. To be honest I couldn't see too much of a difference. However, not being a mod on their site probably gives me less to see on the technical side of things. Anyway thanks, I'll look into it in a bit more depth if it really is so much better. EDIT: It took me ages to find a version of 1.3.1, and even when I did, I also found out that it runs under the 2.0... whatever licence, so it's illegal for me to use without purchasing one. 1.3.0 is free, but it also seems like that had some major problems/exploits.

Since you guys are talking about forums, I'm currently looking for a free forum to set up for the machinima project I lead. I just need something a bit better than the current one and wondered if you guys had any ideas which would be the best. phpBB seems cool for what I generally need, but if there's a better one to use then I'd be grateful if you could let me know. I had a look around, but I'm sure you guys have much better cumulative expecience of forums than I do, so any ideas would be useful.

I'm fine with it just being 'Clan'. It is what they're all named after all. I just never had much faith in clans, that's all. It just helps for me personally to think of it as a 'casual gaming group' as opposed to making it something more official, I think.

Hell, count me in. If I decide I haven't got enough time to handle it I can always resign... or you can kick me. Either's fine. I'm not keen on a prefix change to my name though, like Garbageben. I like to think of it as just a group of online guys who join up against/with each other for fun. Part of me thinks if the whole concept wasn't named 'Clan' and had negative connotations for me I probably would have signed up earlier. Also don't expect me to be the most active member out there. I'm a gamer, but I generally don't find myself in open online games that often.

We might have to just shave it down to a 20 man tournament. Having said that, there's plenty of time left until the demo, and even longer until the game release should the demo not be multiplayer compatable. More people should turn up by then.

He's the same guy who experimented by saying yes to all open options. For example if he got spam e-mail telling him to take a trip to Australia he would do it, simply because how often we say no to things like that. He does come up with strange ideas, and has the confidence to try them out. The cult of his is pretty much a whole group of people who do good deeds to the population asking nothing in return. How they manage to maintain a stable bank balance I'll never know...
