  1. Hey guys, in regards to earlier posts about Tarkin and Vader's relationship, here's what Vader really thinks of him...
  2. Great work! I too would also like to know where Anakin/Darth Vader fits into it. It would be cool if you could make one of the events where Anakin becomes Vader. It probably can't be done as I don't remember the Empire having any events like Luke going to Dagobah.
  3. Well, I've been playing it on easy mode as the Rebellion. I'm at Tech Level 5, and I think I got every character available. I thought it was unusual for them to let you use Kenobi, since this game appears to take place in between ESB and ROTJ. I love using Yoda and his jump attack. Well after I finish this game I'm going to play as the Empire. I can't wait to use the Eclipse.
  4. Thanks Mad78. You truly are The Dark Lord of the GIMP.
  5. Hey AdmiralFishface, how do you make a lightsaber using GIMP? I tried following the instructions you gave earlier, but I think GIMP maybe has a different setup. If you could help, or if anyone can, I would appreciate it.
  6. Well, like a lot of things, I'll believe it when I see it. I don't believe the Loch Ness Monster exists. Sure the Loch is big, but it is not an ocean. That and the Loch does not have enough food to support one, let alone a family of those creatures. The great thing about the time we live in now is that we have all of this great technology. Surely, if something like that did exist, we would have caught it on tape by now.
  7. *glances at poll* For those who did not like it at all, you did not give a bad option. Anyway, I just got FOC today. I haven't played it that much, but so far I like it a lot. Things I like about it are: - A 3rd faction. - Jedi Luke Skywalker - Yoda - The Executor - The Eclipse - 2nd Death Star - new weapons and characters *EDIT* By the way, does anyone know when do you get Luke and Yoda? I've been playing the Galactic Conquest for a few hours now and I still don't have them. All I have is Mon Mothma, Antilles, R2-D2 & C-3PO, Han & Chewbacca.
  8. I will pray for you Paul.
  9. I was thinking about how Lucas edits the OT, and was wondering if he should or even could edit Darth Vader in A New Hope. As you know, the "eyes" on Vader's mask appear to be a dark red color. Also, Vader wears his inner robes over his shoulder armor, instead of under them as he does in the rest of the movies, including the PT. My question is, could Lucas edit it Vader with the technology available today so that he looks more the same as he does in the other films. It would also look better for continuity reasons. Lucas might botch it up somehow though. But if he could do it, and do a good job, should he?
  10. You could always walk up and say "What is thy bidding, my master?" or "Would you like to be seduced by the Dark Side of the Force?"
  11. I built my computer back in the early part of 2002. It is the first computer I have ever built from scratch. Its predecessor was store-bought, and when it got old, I decided that I at least wanted to build one computer for myself. What it has: 1 ghz AMD processor 512 mb RAM 20 gb HD 4.3 gb HD 128 mb Radeon 9600 SE video card That's it. Not special at all by today's standards. I really need to upgrade, but at the moment I lack the time and money to do so. I'm debating on whether to buy or build my next computer. Other than that, I've decorated my desktop with some custom wallpaper.
  12. I was happy to hear that the Star Wars OT was being released on DVD back in 2004. The bad news was we would not get the original cuts of the movies, and those that did not like the added/altered scenes would just have to deal with it. I didn't mind this so much, however when we did finally get the DVD, Vader's lightsaber for some reason looks horrible. There's times it looks pink, washed out, and even orange. It was enough to make me say "WTF?". I'm sorry, but how do they screw that up? Were they just not paying attention? Then, they give us this recent release on DVD, and attempt to please those fans that did not like the added/altered scenes. However, the picture quality for the original cuts leave something to be desired. Why, why, why would they choose to give the fans that? Surely, they knew the quality sucked. Why didn't they choose to take the movie from a better source than the laserdisc? What you end up with, are fans that are still not happy, and wishing they could have what they truly want. *sigh* This is kinda how I feel: Horse = A great majority of Star Wars fans. Carrot = Fantastic quality of the OT DVD with and without added/altered scenes. GL = Man dangling the carrot in front of the horse, making it walk ever further and further, but never allowing the horse to have its desired object.
  13. *Talk about yourself in the 3rd person* "(insert your name) will show you the true nature of the Force. He is your master now."
  14. Hey baby, why don't you and I go make the jump to light-speed.
  15. Hell yeah! And it would sell too, if done correctly. What are they waiting for?
  16. That's what I'm talking about. They made serious toned action games based on the Prequel trilogy for the PS2 and such, but we don't see anything like that for the OT. How about a game that starts off playing in Episode IV and you can play as Luke, Han, and Obi-Wan (for the Vader duel, even though you do lose). Then they can use this formula for the rest of the trilogy. As Luke, you could learn new Force powers and lightsaber skills. Then in Return of the Jedi, you could fight in the Battle of Endor in the Falcon, X-wing, or B-wing. It would be cool to go up against Tie-fighters, Star Destroyers, and even the Executor. They did something like this back in the Super Nintendo days, but it would be cool to have it in more modern 3D graphics.
  17. What would really be cool is if you had a tank, then you could just run the zombies over. You just pretty much go wherever you wanted, and you'd only be vulnerable if you decided to get out for whatever reason. If you did want to get out, just make sure you run over all of the zombies first.
  18. Another great horror icon would be the great white shark from Jaws. The original Jaws film rules, the sequels are forgettable.
  19. Well, is that battle at least good? How could they screw that up? No Luke and Vader battle in ROTJ.
  20. I'd try to get to the nearest island, assuming the zombies cannot swim. However, in Romero's latest movie: Land of the Dead, the zombies gained some intelligence and were able to go through some deep water.
  21. What?!? Ah, the hell with that.
  22. Yeah, when I was a kid, Freddy was the scariest. I remember the first time I saw Nightmare on Elmstreet. I had trouble sleeping that night. Another favorite horror icon I had when I was a kid was Dracula. I never really found him to be scary, but I remember thinking he was cool.
  23. Mine would have to be Hannibal Lecter. He's the scariest to me because he's a more realistic monster. He's just dag nasty evil.
  24. I wish they would make a game based on the Original Trilogy movies, but with a serious tone to it. All of the recent console Star Wars games are mostly based on the PT, it seems. I want to play as Luke and duel it out with Vader! In any case, I think I will get it, and maybe the first one too.
  25. That's true. I've heard it said that Vader will make a cameo apperance or two in the t.v. series, so maybe he will hack up some Jedi there.
