For those who did not like it at all, you did not give a bad option.

 

Anyway, I just got FOC today. I haven't played it that much, but so far I like it a lot. Things I like about it are:

 

- A 3rd faction.

- Jedi Luke Skywalker

- Yoda

- The Executor

- The Eclipse

- 2nd Death Star

- new weapons and characters

By the way, does anyone know when do you get Luke and Yoda? I've been playing the Galactic Conquest for a few hours now and I still don't have them. All I have is Mon Mothma, Antilles, R2-D2 & C-3PO, Han & Chewbacca.

From playing the demo I was less impressed than with the original demo. There is much less to do, it plays for 20 mins and so much lame dialog. Way to little play for a demo of this file size, I know there are some modded XML's for the FoC demo, but it's just stupid.

 

On the technical side, I tried the demo in Windows Vista, for which it pukes it's guts out when you try to run it. Anyone tried installing the full version on Vista yet?

Well, I've been playing it on easy mode as the Rebellion. I'm at Tech Level 5, and I think I got every character available. I thought it was unusual for them to let you use Kenobi, since this game appears to take place in between ESB and ROTJ. I love using Yoda and his jump attack.

 

Well after I finish this game I'm going to play as the Empire. I can't wait to use the Eclipse.

Erm, speaking of ye olde Eclipse, has anyone built one in Galactic Conquest mode, yet? I haven't had a chance to capture Fondor whilst playing as the Imps, yet, but I was wondering if it was in the game, too, or if it was just a campaign thing.

I really hated the story line in FOC. I mean it starts off about the sith cube then goes into the emperiors storehouse. You never really see or find out much about the cube something about a new galaxy and zahn never gets to the storehouse. Smelled of a setup for a FOC 2 game to me and nothing more. When i played the game i was shocked that the ending was actually the end. Iwas like thats it. And anyway who is Zahn anyway i never have heard of him or his organization. With all the material they could use, the vong, the sith, the black sun, or Thawn saga they just start off in a completey new direction. As far as the game itself ive never understood how you can have a ship that is almost completey destroyed and in 2 seconds reuse it. Very unreallistic. That is one thing they should have taken from Rebellion. You just fight, win fight, go to next fight. Guess everyone likes a fast world now .

This game is Tyber Zaan's debut. He has never appeared in any Star Wars related material before.

 

I am hoping they will release a 3rd expansion for EAW. I would like to see something set in the Clone Wars era.

I have to agree with Mr. D- I would very much like to see some repairs having to be executed on the ships, with specific systems- such as engines, turbolasers, etc.- selected for repair when there is a station available, and differant speeds/levels of repair depending on damage to the ship, space station level, and type of ship. Granted, with huge fleets that would be something of a burden, so an automatic repair thing would be nice, too.

have you guys tried the new mods for this game? 2 are very good though im not sure im suppose to name them here. not sure how this site takes that. they add alot of new ships and troops, new planets, the vong, and one has a very hard a.i. for conquest.

Is there an active NJO mod? Interesting

The best site ive found for empire at war mods is http://empireatwar.filefront.com/ . It has probly the best mod out there right now which is z3r0x's FoC Addon (V3.5). It has a vong faction in it 2 planets that they control many new ships and planets i believe 6 but not sure on that number and a very hard a.i. . It actually takes something to bet the computer with this mod in conquest. But this site also has a large mod list to choose from including for foc which the before said mod is for. Go to the bottom to Browse Files Archive and choose what your looking for. You can pick from latest,most downloaded or other ways. Also they have a listing of mods for other games on the right hand side for lovers of other games. I hope this is informadive shot i hate my spelling lol thats why i dont post to much here. But for u mod lovers out there check this site out.
