Personally, I would have liked to have seen... - An explanation as to why the cave on Dagobah was strong with the Darkside of the Force. - I believe it was originally planned for the character we now know as Padme to have survived after giving birth to the twins. She was supposed to have been disguised as one of Bail Organa's servants so she could secretly raise Leia as her own. Bail Organa and his wife would claim the child was theirs. This would better explain why Leia has a memory of her mother and Luke does not. Then about 3 to 4 years later, Padme would pass away. How they would show the time lapse, I'm not sure. - A suited Darth Vader getting some screen time dueling with a lightsaber. - Jar Jar Binks dying.

Yeah, they should have left that alone. I'm glad they did change the Emperor in ESB. Ian McDiarmid is the only one who should play that role.

Here's a change I think they should have made to ROTJ. Luke: You told me Vader betrayed and murdered my father. Obi-Wan: Your father was seduced by the darkside of the Force. He ceased to be Anakin Skywalker and became Darth Vader. When that happened, the good man who was your father was destroyed. So what I told you was true, from a certain point of view. (Luke paces for a moment and says) Luke: Obi-Wan.............THAT'S THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF BULLSH*T I EVER HEARD!

They never showed it in the movies, but somehow they had to get those AT-ATs down to Hoth from the Star Destroyers. What I was wondering is how is this done? The obvious answer is they use some sort of cargo shuttle to transport the things. But... 1. How many AT-ATs can one Star Destroyer hold? 2. How do they load the AT-ATs into the transport Shuttle? Do they just walk into it, or are they in parts, and have to be assembled upon landing? 3. How many AT-ATs can the transport shuttle hold? In any case, I was just wondering how they go about doing this. Thanks.

Some things I wish they would change... 1. The scene where Obi-Wan's lightsaber doesn't have a blade and looks like a stick. I thought they should have corrected it in the Special addition release back in the late 90's, and they most definitely should have fixed it on the DVD release. They attempted to fix it with the DVD release, but it still doesn't look right. If it can't be fixed, the should cut out that one tiny bit of the film. It just doesn't look good. 2. Darth Vader's robes and shoulder armor. In Episode III, V, VI, Vader's shoulder armor is not covered by his robes. However, in IV it is. What did he do, not dress himself correctly that day? LOL. It is not that big of a deal, but I think it would flow better if they changed that. I'm guessing with all the stuff they can do today with special effects and editing they could change it. 3. Luke's green lightsaber in Episode IV on the DVD release. ???? How did this happen??? I can't believe they missed that when they released it.

Thanks. Hopefully someone will make a skin so you can play as him on ground battles. That Legacy of War site looks pretty awesome and it appears they are making a Yoda skin. Surely they will make a Jedi Luke skin and maybe some skins for some of the prequel characters.

I've heard through the grapevine that there are some unlockable characters in EAW. I've heard that one of them is Luke Skywalker. Is there any truth to this? If so, is he the Jedi Luke from ROTJ? Does he use a lightsaber at all? Thanks.

LOL, thanks! That made my day!

I, and many others, still say that it was because of the difference between special effects abilities and standards of the late 70's, early 80's and today. I know, I know, what I and others say can't stand up to the all-knowing GL (We're talking about the same guy who decided to put Jar-Jar Binks in Star Wars). General Grievous is half cyborg and he moves just fine. But hey, to each their own. I just don't visually compare the two trilogies. Or rather, I don't take the prequel trilogy as serious as the original.

Lucas could...redo that duel. With today's technology, and the fact that Lucas has already added things to the original tirlogy, why not? They could get somebody to play Obi-wan for that particular part. Then, using special effects, edit the original Obi-wan's face onto the double's. His hood is up during the fight and you don't see that much of his face, so I wouldn't think it would be that hard to do. The parts where Obi-wan says something, they could just use the original footage. They would have to do some serious work to make it look good and believable and seemless as possible. But, they could probably make a more interesting fight scene between the two. If it was done right, it could be really cool. It would be nice to see Vader and Kenobi's final duel have more flair to it.

Out of curiousity, for how long has this project been going on?

Grand Admiral Thrawn not following dress code?
Sinister replied to Sinister's topic in General Discussion
Sorry. Don't get me wrong, I liked Dark Empire. I even have some of the comics. I'm just partial to Vader taking the Emperor out after having been used and manipulated by him all of those years. I thought it was poetic justice. That Eclipse SSD was awesome, and Luke looked cool as hell. He had certainly come along way from being a simple farm boy. And there was that part where the Emperor shattered Leia's lightsaber with the Force. -

I think I saw those books in the store awhile back. Doesn't one of them have Luke on the cover using Force lightning? Was he just showing he could do it, or was he actually using it to fight? Now, now Luke, remember Master Yoda's teachings. It's kinda funny how the EU and canon don't match up. Jedi are not supposed to know passion, love, etc. yet Mara and Luke are married. I know it cannot be helped, but its still funny. I thought they should have left the Emperor dead. IMO, bringing him back to life cheapened Vader's sacrifice in ROTJ. -
Didn't John Williams do the music for Jaws also? I love that movie. Hated all of it's sequels. Juuun-jun, juuuuun-jun, jun-jun, jun-jun, jun-jun.....

My Favorites: Jacob's Ladder Seven Dawn of the Dead (original) The Ring Psycho Event Horizon The Mothman Prophecies I wouldn't exactly call it horror, but there's a movie called Lost Highway by David Lynch that has some parts in it that I thought were creepy. It's a hard movie to understand and you have to watch it more than once to get it.

Can't be sure. But, I would guess it's Mon Mothma wearing a hood over her head.

Personally, Mine absolute favorite is Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader in ESB. This duel is classic. Vader is so calm and collected throughout most of the fight. He uses his force powers, and cuts off Luke's hand. And of course, there's the startling revelation at the end of their battle. IMO, it the best and most memorable. Runner up... Obi Wan Kenobi vs. Darth Vader in ROTS. It's fast paced, and very emotional, especially at its end. Note: Under the choices, I put "other" in case someone wanted to choose a duel from a game, book, etc.

Grand Admiral Thrawn not following dress code?
Sinister replied to Sinister's topic in General Discussion
I've often wondered that myself. I talked with others about this, but have never really come to a solid conclusion. I've often thought that Tarkin was probably loyal to and served under Palpatine before Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader. Therefore, Palpatine probably trusted many things to Tarkin, and also respected him. He obviously trusted him enough with the most powerful weapon in the Imperial millitary. So, even though Tarkin is not a Sith, he may have alot of favor with the Emperor. Because of this, Vader probably also respects Tarkin. Vader may also respect him simply because of his genius. For all we know, after Episode III, Vader may have been mentored by Tarkin. Perhaps he taught Vader strategies, and how to command fleets. As far as talking to Vader in a commanding tone, I think it may be because the Death Star is Tarkin's territory. He's in charge of it ultimately, by authority of the Empreror. As long as they are on the Death Star, Vader probably respects Tarkin's authority. If they were anywhere else it might be different. It should probably be noted that Tarkin also has respect for Vader, as he actually refers to him as "friend" in Episode IV. I know alot of what I have said is just speculation, but I think some of it could be possible. -
Grand Admiral Thrawn not following dress code?
Sinister replied to Sinister's topic in General Discussion
Actually, there is a Grand Admiral in Episode IV. He's in that scene on the Death Star where Darth Vader finds an Imperial Officer's lack of faith disturbing. In that scene, if you watch carefully, you will see that one of the officers is wearing the white uniform. The uniform only seems to lack the gold shoulder pads, but it would appear that he is a Grand Admiral. -
I was looking at some pictures of our favorite Grand Admiral (Thrawn) the other day and thought: All of the other Imperial Officers wear covers (caps, hats, etc.) with their uniforms. Even when they are indoors, or on the bridge of a Star Destroyer they wear covers. Yet, in all of the pictures of Thrawn I've seen, even the ones of him in comics, he never wears a cover, not even outdoors. It could be that it is not part of the Grand Admiral's uniform, or that simply they have enough power and authority that they can actually get away with not wearing one. In any case, I was just curious if anyone else noticed this.

Hello. Since this is my first post I would like to say I really like this site. I hope to make some new friends here. Somebody else may have thought of this already, but I would really like more control over the characters in the game. What if, for example, when you sent Luke Skywalker to battle Darth Vader you could choose his actions during the fight. It wouldn't have to be anything fancy or flashy, but some control would be a nice addition and make the game more enjoyable IMO. Even something as simple as a screen that showed their character pics and stats. It could allow you to choose what to do in the fight, such as: Fight, Items, Force power, Escape, etc. The characters would also have hit points and different abilities that could change over time. I know, it sounds like Final Fantasy in a way. I just think this would be cooler than letting the computer up and decide on it's own who won. This could also be imlemented to the minor characters and even special forces units when they are involved in conflict. I'm guessing there's no way to make this happen, but just thought I'd bring it up.
