  1. Bathroom Quotes "Sitting here I started to think, how costly food is, and where it finally ends."
  2. I'd help you but the flux capacitor of my Suzuki Samurai (No money for a DeLorean), broke next wednesday.
  3. In one of Allston's NJO books, Kyp thinks he is stronger than Luke, but I doubt it. Kyp is nothing but a Luke-wannabe, I had really hoped he would die.
  4. OOC: Nice of Stellar to remind everyone that we are Pre-ANH, so no Defenders, nor Avengers, no B-Wings! A-wing and squints only in reduced numbers, prototypes, very early prototypes, not up to the speed we all love. X-Wings are fine, again not as frequent, use Y-Wings and Z-95s, or whatever other cheap XWA Fighter. As for caps, no super-star destroyers at the time (Vader's [aka Elvis's] flagship was the Devastator), only Impstars and early converted Calamarian cruisers, the rest are probably Corellian stuff. All those crappy CCs.
  5. Because the shield system on the A-Wings was not particularly strong and hyperdrive, IIRC, doesn't consume that much energy. Why it is still faster than the TIE Int? Perhaps the Twin Ion Engine isn't that good?
  6. Actually there were some special TIE Interceptors, for the Officers. Read about them in Allston's X-Wing series.
  7. Clickerty the link you must, if spoilers you wish to see. http://www.theforce.net/episode3/jtf/
  8. 120 GB Hard Disk: 110 Imperial Credits with your PalpyCard Athlon AMD 2600 with Motherboard - 75 Imperial Credits with your PalpyCard 1 GB Corsair DDR RAM: 250 Imperial Credits with your PalpyCard. Joining the SWR Clan and kicking Rebel butt: Priceless. There are things money can't buy, for everything else there is PalpyCard. PalpyCard is accepted in every Imperial Sector.
  9. Thrawn has a point, shielded TIEs would definetely be more fearsome. A few Impstars with shielded TIEs, now that would be fearsome.
  10. That'll take more time than getting to Alpha Centauri. I definetely think it is worth, but not yet, let us stick to the moon and to Mars for a while.
  11. Thousand TIEs cannot terrorize a population as an ISD can. But an Impstar isn't that scary without TIEs.
  12. Information on Rebel Activity was as scarce as possible, for a few days it seemed as if the entire Rebellion had been sucked into the Maw and disappeared. Successful operations in the Tion Hegemony had a considerable effect on the Rebellion, on Mon Calamari the Quarren had been given the control of the world, Imperial convoys would in the following weeks provide the Quarren with weapons and training to keep the Mon Calamari from aiding the Rebellion openly. The destruction of the pirate base had left the Rebels without a clear access to the black market and forced them to leave the sector, there had been of course some setbacks, the Rebels had stolen the blueprints for a new engine, but that did not bother him, the engine was still in a prototype stage and the Rebels still lacked the facilities to massproduce fighters. Admiral Darac Noreto knew the Rebels could only hide in the Outer Rim, if his task force could prevent them from gaining a strong foothold in the Rim, the rest of the galaxy would be spared the horrors of a new war, he sipped out of his cup and continued to analyse the scarce information on the Rebels that had come in this morning.
  13. But that's not a common objective. Fighters are meant to use against fighters, or for hit-and-fade attacks. B-Wings, Y-Wings and K-Wings, and their Imperial Counterparts do have those objectives, but they require escorts.
  14. Which is why fighters with warheads were not a common sight, some elite squadrons would be equipped with them, but unless the mission objectives demanded it, I don't think they would have warheads.
  15. I think it was in the 2000 Post thread when Mask got his own rank.
  16. It's the favorite alternative for those Jedi/Sith that cannot spare enough time to eat. We had a rather dweeby discussion around them a while ago.
  17. In XWA you have the engine wash damage that will drastically reduce your shields if you attack the engines. That's for fighters. As for Capital ships, it would really have to be a faster ship, Gunship, Corvette, Neb-B, to succeed at it, and only the Neb-B has the weapons to do significant damge to the engines. There are of course TIEs to worry about, since no ISD would stay in a battlefield after all its TIEs are gone.
  18. You can always choose among Mask's forksabers!
  19. I'm still not buying that biologic explanation of the Force, it just seems stupid, about Bothan, I don't think that they could be related to humans. Chiss, on the other hand may be a race of human origin that adapted itself to the harsh conditions on Csilla.
  20. There it is. BRAZIL wins Copa América. After a last minute goal (93') Brazil ties with Argentina in the final and wins 5-3 in the penalties. Yet one more title for the Brazilians, that have won basically everything there is in the football world. Congrats!
  21. Changed the thread name title, just to avoid confusions.
  22. I agree with AA here, I don't think I'll ever parade around in a Star Wars costume as it seems to stupid. Just as silly as the Trekkies marching with Vulcan ears, or the sick Frodo-dressed folks that plagued the Premiere of Return of the King.
  23. If he didn't ignore EU Stuff Star Wars would get out of his hand, he'd have people chained to Skywalker Ranch begging Lucas to have Zahn make the scripts. On the other hand having characters like Garm Bel Iblis, Jorus C'Baoth, Nejaa Halcyon or even Thrawn make a cameo shouldn't cause that much trouble. And he could make even more money out of the dweebs that buy the action figures.
  24. So what do we know for certain about the Pre-Republic humans? They settled Alderaan An alien species took them to settle Corellia They learned spacefaring secrets from the Duro. They expanded themselves in the Core Some questions that linger in my mind: Was Xim the Despot a human? Were humans a majority in his Tion Hegemony Empire? Why have humans not evolved in 25000 years, I mean 25000 years ago we were just homo sapiens.
