  1. The original TIE and Maul's Infiltrator were pretty cool as well.
  2. Y-Wings suck even more, which is why Koesnayr (sp?) disappeared. T-Wings, Razors, and Preybird are uglier. Plus I hate Preybirds, and everything Sullustan-Related.
  3. OOC: Corrected the post, I now asked the Admiral at the Vengeance for a report. IC: "I'm sure you will provide Imperial Intelligence with hours of amusing conversation, after that we will talk about your payment." Noreto signaled the stormtroopers to take him away. Noreto doubted that this Dally was as innocent as he pretended, nor seemed he a complete Rebel. Noreto may have some uses for him, that may depend of the report he would receive from Thrawn. Noreto left the hangar with one of the bottles of Churban Brandy that the Stormtroopers had uncovered.
  4. OOC: The original official blueprints confirm them as being sensor domes. IC: The whole bridge paralyzed when the two Hyperspace-capable TIEs had escaped into hyperspace, with a squadron of Interceptor behind them. Pellaeon looked dismay and the captain merely disappointed. Admiral Noreto on the other hand smiled shortly then issued orders to start leaving the system. A few Carracks and some special team would be left to search the ruines of the Orath Base. "Lieutenant I will be in my command room, tell the Admiral on the Vengeance that I will expecting a report of the events, and make a list of all possible destinations for the TIEs." "Yes, sir."
  5. I think there was an XWA model for it somewhere on the net, try asking for such pics on one of the XWA modding forums.
  6. Actually Incom Corporation was nationalized by the Empire before the Battle of Yavin, a group of engineers and designers defected to the Rebellion with the blueprints for the X-Wings, ever since the Empire never really trusted Incom, and it took income about ten years to provide the Empire with a Starfighter, the I-7 Howlrunner. And Sienar Fleet Systems is the only manufacturer of TIE Starfighters in the Galaxy. How can you not like them?
  7. If Sidious already had them, why would the Geonosians and Dooku have them at all?
  8. You forgot to add Sienar and Incom there.
  9. "Star Destroyer were designed to scare people, Captain." Admiral Noreto noted. "Your reaction to it, on the other hand, cost me a six TIEs and a sensor dome." The freighter captain seemed not to react. "That was unexpected, as was the aid that two X-Wings gave to you. Whether a Rebel or not, a smuggler or not, a civilian or a bounty hunter, you are in the hands of the Empire now. You will provide me with all information you have about Orath Base. My stormtroopers will thoroughly search your small ship, that is now property of the Empire. And you, my Intelligence Personel and I will have a long discussion about your current allegiance. After we're through with it, and if you survive it. We will discuss you're future, which will most likely end in Kessel or Akrit'tar." Noreto smiled not, but saw in Dally a reaction to his threats. "Of course if you cooperate and offer to make up for the damage you caused, I may reconsider."
  10. OOC: Read this IC: Admiral Noreto entered the cargo bay where a long haired man stood silently amidst a group of Stormtroopers. Behind them a group of technicians started a search of the vehicle. "A daring maneuver, Captain. To launch yourself into the battle, rather than flee with your Rebel friends." The other man looked at him straight in the eyes. "I am no Rebel." Noreto raised an eyebrow. "No? But you must have a certain reason to come this far, captain. Before you answer, I will let you know that I have a datafile with information on the Bad Samaritan and her captain and the last encounters with the Empire. So, you were saying?"
  11. Many grutchins and a few dovin basals will do the trick.
  12. "Admiral Noreto, the Rebels are withdrawing." Lieutenant Pellaeon informed from his position. Noreto saw the small Gallofree Transports disappearing into hyperspace. "We destroyed two of them, and one other one has heavy damage. The Strike Cruiser and few other transports are beyond reach, we lost multiple TIE Squadrons, but managed to deal some damage to the X-Wings." Pellaeon continued. "Sir, there is a YT-1300 entering the area." The Captain informed. "It appeared above the Ironhand and did some damage to the Sensor domes (OOC: I don't believe them to be shield gens). TIEs from Ironhand are in pursuit." "Capture him and bring him here. Have Carrack Cruiser Ignominous aid in the capture." As the Rebels withdrew the Chimaera and it's commading Admiral took a particular interest in the Freighter that kept evading the TIEs. Eventually the faster agile TIEs succeded in rendering the Freighter shieldless. "Open a channel," Noreto signaled. "Corellian Freighter Bad Samaritan stand down or be destroyed." "I will be killed anyway," a human voice answered. "There is no reason for killing you, unless you provide us with one. Accompany your TIE Escort to the Chimaera where we will have a discussion or be destroyed." Noreto commanded.
  13. I think that it had been covered in one of the Prequel-books who had designed the DS. Lemelisk and a Sienar guy, who gave it to Tarkin.... Who gave it to Dooku?
  14. Try using the IRC Room, guys. The question kaja had planted at the discussion of the thread was discussed. If you want to start a thread about Jedi and their wherabout feel free to do it. The point La_Forge wants to make is that two or three pages of the same two or three people discussing anything is reducing the interest of other posters who feel overwhelmed at times.
  15. Enough fun, back to topic... What are the features of the game? i probably won't buy it, but who knows...
  16. What about a Polly Pocket, Battlefront-mod??? Sound cool, eh?
  17. The ten bases...
  18. You wish...
  19. It was a Jedi from a insectoid flea species, it did literally live under the Emperor's nose.
  20. I wasn't prepared for that
  21. The info was on TheForce.net Messageboards a while ago, but I think it is not confirmed.
  22. Wasn't the Hayden Christense Ghost photoshopped? Anyway, it's rather foolish I would have rather stuck with Sebastian Shaw. And what the Hell is Padme doing there? And more Ewoks? Oh well...
  23. Are those changes confirmed, I read about them in one of the TF.N's threads, but is this Lucasfilms-confirmed? SOme changes suck, but some are okay. But I'll always will want the original threatical release of the trilogy.
  24. OOC: How I enjoy ruining Rebel feeble dreams. Admiral Noreto smiled smugly as he watched the Rebel Starfighters scramble and immediately move towards the lone Star Destroyer Torturator. Information provided by now-Vice-Admiral Thrawn and his own set of conclusions had brought them to the inequivocable conclusion of a Rebel Base located in the Orath Asteroid field. Thrawn infalible talent of reading enemy minds, combined with the careful analysis of facts by Noreto had conjured up this miracle. The Torturator under the incompetent command of Captain Nevra had completed a simple mission with success it had confirmed the location of the base, and it had shown Noreto on which of the major asteroids the base was. While a single Star Destroyer was a dreadful sight, the clumsy maneuvers and predictable tactics may have calmed the Rebels down. But would they be prepared for group two? "Vice-Admiral, is group Two in position?" "Certainly sir." "Good, Nevra has had enough time to complete his secondary objective." Which was to get himself killed. Thrawn smiled and his holo faded. Judicator and five other Star Destroyers plus a dozen smaller support craft had hypered into the Orath System to pound the base. Noreto regretted the lack of a planet that could help hold the Rebels in system more so did he regret that none of the Gravity Mass Generators were available. Despite the limitations of such devices, a Star Destroyer would be rendered almost shieldless and have to divert engine power to maintaing the generator on-line, Noreto wished he could have one to trap the Rebels. "Captain, how proceeds the battle?" "The Torturator is shieldless but armed, Judicator is using her to cover their fighters while they exit the hangar, Major Baumer among them. X-Wings and Z-95s have moved closer to the asteroid base, most likely to protect it while they evacuate." From a nearby seat Pellaeon reported. "Two minutes until deadline." Two minutes until Chimaera and its six Imperial Destroyers and thrity five support craft hyped to the Orath system and complete the destruction of one of their bases. "Are the ballistic analyses of the asteroid field complete?" "Yes sir, they have been given to the gunners. The first volley has been calculated." "Good, is my flagship ready?" The Captain snapped to full martial protocol. "The Chimaera is at your command." Good. Noreto looked at the chrono. "Hyperspace now." After a few more second the third battle group entered the system. From the Chimaeras torpedo laucnhers, warheads launched aimed not at the unprepared Rebels but at the bigger asteroids, creating clouds of microasteroids that closed one of the Rebels' exits. Trapped between the Star Destroyers and the dense asteroid field, the battle raged on.
