I don't think Thrawn would have given the SSD much use. At least in battle. He would have used it to impress natives, after he had seen through their art, or would have use it for a "garrison" fleet, to free up some Impstars to use in the front.

I'll close this topic, as the question has been answered, and you will have plenty of chance to talk about Rebellion: Reloaded tomorrow after the Announcement is made. One thing is certain it is a TOTAL Conversion... Topic Closed.

I got it for birthday back in 98, and still have it, though I don't use the original disk anymore (too scratched) and rather use a backup copy i had made.

No mean to insult, but that particular saying is one I despise as it foments hypocrisy and what not. If you don't have anything nice to say, say it so that you can discuss about it with smart valid arguments. In my opinion that particular kind of commentaries are rather immature. If you do not agree with what GA or Mad have stated, try discussing with them why you think the game is so "AWSOME" by providing, as GA says, another perspective on this. Again, I have no intention to insult.

"I welcome you to Coruscant, Jedi Ocas." Trej ventured further into the throne room, a feeling of darkness and greatness inundated the room. Through the enormous windows Trej could see the cityscape, so minimal, so small. From the Emperor's Throne one would see the world as infinitely minimal, as Palpatine undoubtedly saw it. "You will not need this," with the wave of his hand the stun-cuffs fell to the ground, the clink of the metal against the ground resounding in the vast chamber. Behind him the massive doors closed, Darth Elvis in an arrogant strong pace moved next to him and knelt before the Emperor. Palpatine looked at Elvis and then directly into Trej. "You should kneel before me, as well." "Never, your Excellency. I will not betray my order." Elvis rose and moved to take a position at Palpatine's right side. "Your order is extinct, Jedi. Your masters and knights have been hunted down and killed." An angrier Palpatine snapped back. "Realize this, and I will welcome you at my side," Palpatine gesture to his left empty side. Trej did not move, and did not answer. "Foolish, Jedi. The moment you set foot in my Palace you bound your fate to the Dark Side." "My fate is bound elsewhere," Trej said shortly. "Ah, yes. I forgot, bound to a young Jedi, a young man that went to Nortus V. I wonder what is on that forsaken world?" For a single moment Palpatine's words grew fear in his heart. Thought madly rushed in his mind, Fel, the Paradeium, Elvis, Palpatine. All of them turning in his mind. Palpatine laughed. Elvis moved closer to Palpatine. "It has been found." Palpatine leaned closer to Trej. "You hold the key to this, Jedi. Join us, join the power of the Paradeium." Trej Ocas closed his eyes, sat on the floor and recited the verses of the Jedi Code. Palpatine hissed at the defiance of the Jedi and stood up, with his hand palms-down he directed all his anger at the Jedi and blue lightning erupted from his tips. On the dark floor of the Throne Room Trej started to writhe as the full energy of the dark side burned him. Palpatine stopped. "You are strong, do not waste your life in futile defiance." The Emperor said. "Forget your allegiance to the old order, my New Order has grown over it. Join me, Trej Ocas. You hold the power to recreate this galaxy." Trej's tired eyes focused momentarily on Elvis. "Old friend." Another volley of blue energy burned him further. "Is death what you seek, Jedi?" Palpatine asked with scorn and contempt as the fire burned in him. "There... is... no... DEATH... only the Force," Trej answered with much difficulty. "Then call the Force to you, Jedi, fend off my attacks, call your weapon by. You will only realize your own weakness." Palpatine laughed. The entire universe hurt Trej, in that place of evil, only the Dark Side thrived, as Trej tried to draw on the Force the sensation of anger and fear hurt him terribly. Fighting back the pain with courage and valor he focused for a heartbeat. Long enough to call the cylindric weapon that hung from Elvis's belt. The furious red blade from the Dark Lord came to life in the Jedi's hand, that slowly stood up. "My servant's weapon will not help you." Blue lightning flew at him, to be blocked by the saber, but Trej could not resist and fell on the floor, the lightsaber flew back to its owner who jumped and towered above Trej's fallen figure. From Palpatine's throne, Trej's lightsaber rolled to him. "Kill him," Palpatine commanded. Elvis's red blade came to life and moved to sever Trej's head. In Trej's hand his lightsaber erupted to life, to stop the blade. Barely. Elvis moved for another slash at Trej, the Jedi rolled away from the blade's trajectory and rose from the floor. With his last energies he fenced with Elvis, before the Emperor's Throne. The fight was unfair, Elvis used his greater size and strength to his advantage, pushing Trej's scarce attacks back. Aided by the Dark Side, Elvis sent multiple objects flying at Trej who tried to dodge or slice them with the lightsaber. One of the heavier pieces crashed into the window, letting the cold air from the city enter the room. The red blade cut close to his body as his strength started to fail. Realizing that the fight with Elvis would only mean his death, Trej gathered his remaining strength and sent himself in a mad dive towards the small gap in the transparisteel window. Elvis stood still as he saw the Jedi's mad action. Palpatine laughed joined by the howl of the wind in the room. Slowly Elvis moved to his master's throne. The sensation of falling seemed endless. Trej only knew he fell and and fell, he saw people and heard their panicked voice, he felt their distress. Then he heard a soft sound, and knew he had stopped. And that was all he knew. OOC: Sorry for the length.

Great one, Mad I'd stick to wait for the Empire to develop the planet and get a job as a trader or a smuggler.

The massive pillars of the Grand Corridor welcomed him to Coruscant. Trej looked at them and smiled. Here he was at the very beginning of his journey, almost nearing its end. The Imperial Palace was near. The "light" escort that guarded him, should probably had not been enough to halt him if Trej had wanted to escape. But he did not, he looked forward to confront both Palpatine and Elvis. Darth Elvis lead him and his guards through laberynthine paths within the Palace, meant to confuse the Jedi and foil whatever attempt of escape there was. Then the troopers stopped and Elvis and Trej were left standing before a massive metal door. Behind it, the essence of the Dark Side, waited in expectation. "The Emperor awaits." The door opened, and all Trej could hear was the twisted laughter of the Emperor. OOC: I'll finish it later.

OOC: Great all I need, an Imperial who doesn't want to be one anymore.

It's definitely a candidate for our next major RP. (And I could get back to my thread-famous Yuuzhan Vong persona), and though you have offered that encylopedia entry (Thanks, btw), I think we would need more info on them if we wanted to have them in the spotlight of a big war. Let's hear what the others have to say about it.

Trej yawned as his little astromech informed his that they had arrived at the Firver system. Groggy Trej looked at the stars and at the world below. The usual mists covered most of the rocky surface of the world, and its twin moon looked as pale as usual. But somehow everything felt different. Somehow the black space felt darker. Bad feelings and ideas formed in his mind with the swiftness and the fury of rainstorm. Still the Jedi refused to yield to the fear, calm and moderate he pointed the tip of his fighter at the world and started his descent. He started to project his presence through the Force, he knew he was expected. An ancient stone temple was the setting for the meeting. In the center of the formation of rocky pillars the dark figure of Darth Elvis stood in expectation. Calmly the Jedi entered the circle, without fear. "It has been a long time," Trej said in a tone that suggested friendship more than bitter enmity. "Twelve years," Elvis answered, his usual grave voice resounding slightly weaker. "Why have you come?" Trej asked moving closer to the centre. "To finish a task placed upon me." The voice grew stronger with hints of fear and anger. "You failed twelve years ago in that same task, will you fail again?" Elvis failed to respond with words, instead his furious red lightsaber swept forward.... Only to be stopped by the azure blade of the Jedi. The fierce battle raged within the ancient temple, Elvis powered by his personal fear of the Jedi and his anger at him, continued launched himself at the Jedi, that fended the attacks with an uncommon ease and calm. "You cannot defeat me, Darth. You could not at the Temple's Gate, you will not defeat me here." "Yet you lost at the Temple's Gate, old friend." Elvis spoke in a mocking voice full of anger and spite. Behind the dark lord stormtroopers started to come out of their positions and in matter of heartbeat they had surrounded the Jedi. "So you have failed again to kill me, will you bestow the honor on one of your soldiers?" Trej asked in a much angrier tone that he expected to come out. "No, the Emperor will have the honor." Elvis answered. "Take him away, commander." As he was lead away, he looked back at the dark figure that had been once a good friend, a good man. "It has been found." Trej said quietly. Darth looked curiously in his direction and that was all he saw, when a blue dart caught him on his back. Waking up in a Star Destroyer's cell, stripped of all clothing left alone with the metallic limits of his cell, that gleamed back a distorted reflection of himself, Trej opened himself totally to the Force. In such a strong way as only Yoda and Elvis could. Through the Force he searched the stars, looking for a single man. Without forming any words, he knew that his Learner wherever he was would understand what has happened.

Nah, I took up an idea Scathane had offered a very long time ago (in a galaxy far, far away... ) I created a special category that's for "SWR fiction" stuff. So if any of you Role-playing guys wants to add his char to the encyclopedia just PM it to me.

My thoughts exactly.

OOC: Cool post, AA. Trej allowed himself a smile when he saw Fel's astonished face. "What took you so long?" The older Jedi asked. "You... How?" Fel wanted to asked but said nothing in the end. A warm breeze flowed. "Listen, Fel." Trej started while looking at an indefinite spot far on the horizon. "I will not stop you, and I will not try refute what you said to me, but as I said in the beginning of our little journey, the scars of the Clone Wars and the scars of Elvis's betrayal run deeper in me, than they do in you. You know what happened, but you did not witness it first-hand, you cannot possibly understand what that day on Coruscant was." The sun slowly vanished beyond the horizon and the rings of Geonosis became clearly visible. A glittery archway was carved in the starry sky. Fel wanted to move forward to his starfighter, but Trej'd raised palm halted him. "Before you go, join me to see the arena." Trej suggested and pointed in a vaguely northward direction. "I promise I will not waste your time." They walked a few minutes in their usual silence. Not even the Geonosians dared bother them. The few that remained on this forsaken world knew they should not disturb Jedi. As they neared the arena, Trej ignited the lightsaber, so it's azure light illuminated the decaying building. A few swift shadows flew away into their nests. "So many of our kind died here, murdered by machines." Trej stated. "Those same machines are now nothing but garbage and this arena is nothing but a decaying bug-nest." "I better go." Fel murmured quietly. Obviously confused by Trej's actions and words, prudently wondering about the elder Jedi's mental sanity. "You will fail, young one. It takes two people to destroy the Paradeium, and you cannot operate it, your affinity to the living Force is not strong enough for you to employ the machine." "I must try." "You should do. Remember that both our fates are bound to that machine, just as the Jedi who died here were bound to the machines that killed them." A masked "Whatever" came from Fel's lips. "I will leave this world soon, I trust the Force will guide both of us to a future meeting." Trej spoke softly and shut down his lightsaber. Embraced by darkness, Fel immediately ignited his own saber but did not see Trej. Fel spoke a few last words, with no one to hear them and walked back to his ship. The silence that surrounded him, was more oppressive than before, now being a silence derived from loneliness. Carried by a warm breeze, Fel believed to have heard Trej once more. And may the Force be with you, young one. *** Hidden behind a few rocks, Trej watched his companion depart. The companionship of the younger Jedi had been a welcome event in Trej's life. For years Trej had only looked forward to the death that would redeem him, now he fervently hoped for the day to meet young Fel again. "Arfour, wake up." Trej spoke into his comlink. "Get the fighter prepped, we are leaving." Part of him wanted to follow Fel and talk honestly with him about the Paradeium, but he could not do that. Yet. He had been willing to tell him in the arena, but lacked the strength to do so. Slowly a tear ran down the older Jedi's face, as he looked forward to meet his Padawan once again.

Cool! Now if I only knew where to put it...

I think so... So what would you do? Join them and betray them once you're out of this solar system. Put up your stormtrooper costume and parade around your city. Put on a shirt that sayd "I love Palpy" and rush to meet them. Organize a battallion of little furry things attack them, beat them and take their Impstar. Ask them where you can join the Rebellion? Or stay at home, wait for them to invade and kill all the heads of government and then impose Imperial Rule, and hope that they open up a spaceport where you can find a job later.

Stupid video rentals around here don't have much Kurosawa (It took me an hour at looking at the video rentals's old catalogues to find one. Sanjuro, it looks interesting, I'll watch it tomorrow) . They all have the latest pirated Hollywood crap, but other than that they don't have anything Oh well, I'll have to see... where... I ... get ... other ... movies ... Noreto slammed an angry fist at the armrest of his chair. As a result from the wrecking of the shipyards at Yaga Minor, the repair work had been slowed down considerably. The Chimaera's own engineers had done an adequate job in repairing most of the critical damage, mostly cosmetic damage needed to be repaired, but that did not matter much to Noreto, instead his anger and frustration derived from the negative of High Command to provide him with replacement for the losses, at this time. Their fighter force was at about half-strength, and his ammonition of torpedoes and missiles was critically low. Noreto had already dispatched Obliterator and Magnificent to Ord Radama and Ord Biniir, respectively to insist on the issue. While both were in a pretty bad shape, Noreto hoped that the sight of two very damaged Star Destroyers would boost him up on the priority list. Noreto at least trusted that the Rebels would not pose a threat to him in the near future, considering the losses both at Muunilist and at Gravlex Med, but in any case, he and the Governor had devised a plan in case the Rebels attacked Yaga Minor again. Noreto frowned as a crew of engineers asked him to move while they repaired one of the communication consoles. Then he left for his command room, and tried to find some peace.
