  1. The Imperial rendez-vous point grew busier as more and more Star Destroyers arrived for their strike at Kashyyyk, not only was the blow meant for demoralizing the Rebels but also to capture a sizable workforce of Wookiee for a top security Imperial Project. In the Bridge of the Chimaera Admiral Neroto reviewed the standard information and corrected some orders for the captains of his small strike force. From the corner of his eyes the Admiral recognized Lieutenant Pellaeon nearing him, obviously distressed. "Admiral, Kuat is under attack. A group of Rebel Starships has launched an offensive on the shipyards." Neroto slammed his fist on the armrest of his chair. "In all the worlds in this galaxy why Kuat? Even an attack on Imperial Center would have been prefarable than Kuat." "Sir?" "There is a delicate project going on at Kuat, the chances are slim that it will be detected, but I will not take any risks." "Sir will we move against Kuat then?" "No Lieutenant. At least not all of us. Signal Captain Paradi of the Judicator, and tell him to lead the attack at Kashyyyk. Then the Chimaera will jump to Kuat. Have Major Baumer take one of the special TIEs."
  2. Perhaps it would have been better if r2 and Threepio had been packed into a single characters, because you can't have one without the other.
  3. What happened to the SSD, I recall reading somewhere that it hyped into the Unknown REgions and the Chiss got away with it.
  4. Search for them Mad, I recall there were plenty of GA's cards around.
  5. "Major Baumer." Admiral Neroto stated and darted his gaze into the Imperial Pilot that looked uncomfortable. "Yes sir." "Over the past weeks you have encountered on repeated occasions this new X-Wing," the Admiral paused and the Major kept quiet. "On almost as many occasions the Rebels have managed to get away with considerable losses, though their objective was attained. Do you know what their objective was, Major?" "To collect war-matèriel, and supporters, sir?" "That is the most obvious answer, yes. And it is important for their war-effort, but the most important objective is to show the galaxy that the Empire is far from the absolute power that our propaganda machine suggests. That we have trouble estabilizing a galaxy, that some have stood up against us and we have not reacted. And that they have obtained. For one and every pilot you kill, Major, a dozen more volunteers will be signing to replace him. Will your TIEs be able to kill them faster than they stand up against him? Will your TIEs repair the damaged image of the Empire with lasers and blood?" Major Baumer said nothing and looked at the floor. "You and your squadron will be assigned permanently to the Chimaera, in the near-future will be starting a series of offensive strikes on Rebel-friendly worlds." And the Admiral pressed a datapad on his hand. This will be our next target, Intelligence suggests that the Rebels are planning something big. They cannot tell if its a raid or a full attack, so we have to strike at them before they do." "But this, sir?" Admiral Noreto smiled. "Wookiee fierceness may be overestimated, they are formidable ground combatants, you will be save from your TIE.Most important the Wookiee are friendly to this Rebel movement, it might be the time for some reeducation." "Yes sir." OOC: Next target: Kashyyyk
  6. Dizzying shapes became starlines, and starlines became stars. The Chimaera had left hyperspace. Immediately after that silent explosion of the universe around him Admiral Neroto reviewed the battlefield. Mistrel-Platform was far below him, and the white bulk of the Serpent's Bite was pointing at the group of Nebulon - Frigates that were leaving the battlefield. "Sir, those frigates are wearing Rebel transponders, a group of X-Wings are shielding them. TIEs from the Bite have engaged them." "Good. Launch all squadrons. Instruct TIE Bomber Kappa to target the engines, their primary goal is to disable the engines. The remaining TIEs will engage the X-Wings. The loss of their starfighters might be costier than some Nebulon Frigates in the long run."
  7. Just a tip, Mask's uses some of the SW models from a Star Trek Armada II mod. Perhaps you can use the models from the original game, so you don't have to make them all.
  8. Um... Try some other hosting, GA. Tripod doesn't allow remote-linking, try a MSN Group..
  9. Yes it's worth, just make sure you build enough starfighters to protect it. And you can build as many as you want, as long as you don't have 2 DSs around a same planet.
  10. Admiral Noreto waited for the shuttle ramp to lower completely before exiting. He had arrived in an quiet hangar poblated only by a few mechanics and guards on duty and by a youthful uniformed officer that was evidently waiting for him. The Admiral smiled for himself, too many times had he been welcomed by endless rows of stormtroopers and officers, that seemed petrified when he walked past them, for once he welcomed the silent reception of the Chimaera. "Admiral Neroto, welcome to the Chimaera. Captain Deran expects you on the bridge." "Thank you, Lieutenant..." "Pellaeon, sir." "Thank you, Lieutenant Pellaeon take me to the bridge. Have my orders been processed?" "Yes sir, the secondary bridge has been refitted as per your instructions, I saw personally to that." "And Major Baumer?" "He is still on the Serpent's Bite, we transmitted the order a day ago, but it seems that the Bite is engaged with the Rebels, the Captain will brief you into recent events." "I assumed then that the Rebel outpost in Marlin V, has been destroyed." "Yes sir, the Serpent's Bite saw to that, but some of the Rebel Freighters escaped. Now the bite is en-route to Mistrel VII, there are some hints that it will be targeted by a Rebel fleet." "And the Jedi?" The Captain swallowed. "We have had no trace from the first Jedi Starfighter, at Marlin V another was spotted." "Two Jedi in your sector? Lord Elvis will be very disappointed." "Yes, sir." "In the meantime set course for Mistrel VII, I will be in my command room, if you require me."
  11. Oh and I forgot the Jedi Academy Trilogy... And some books from NJO (Dark Journey, especially) and the Young Jedi Knights.... Half the EU sucks, only a few authors have managed to work up the magic of Star Wars. Zahn, Allston, Stackpole have done great jobs with it. Salvatore, Luceno and Denning, have too, to some extent.
  12. 4-LOM tried to get the job as the prissy protocol in a holomovie that a Hutt by the name of Georgie the Hutt wanted to make. Georgie the Hutt quickly got tired of 4-LOM (the poor droid kept criticizing Georgie the Hutt's galaxy-(in)famous flannel collection) and decided to throw him to the Rancor, when it fell 4-LOM hit his head and became evil. He got out and swore to kill Georgie the Hutt, when he was about to, Georgie offered him a job and some minor screen time. So 4-LOM got his role in ESB, and now works happily for Georgie the Hutt in Lucasarts's Customer Support.
  13. Which is possibly the worst idea for the origin of a bounty hunter... But, yes he is...
  14. I think we may had one a long long time ago.. You'll get your usual ones, Crystal Star, Black Fleet, Bounty Hunter Wars, Darksaber, Children of the Jedi, Planet of Twilight, New Rebellion, Truce at Bakura, Corellian Crisis.
  15. [Trej turns a nod into a head bob] X-Wing series, in general, are great. The above-mentioned, one are definitely in the list of the unreadable... BTW, do not challenge the great Warmaster of the Yuuzhang Vong... He could hurt you...
  16. Um Zuckuss, yeah: Beats Bossk for the ugly alien award, and he joins with 4-lom who is the runner-up for mediocre droid bounty hunter... Yes that jumping around was annoying...
  17. It can and it was... AS I stated above I've never taken much interest in them, their just part of the scenography in the movies and in the books (The Unifying Force makes clear how small roles are better for them), coming up with a really interesting for them is pretty hard, because most of thier charm is to be mysterious. If you write a trilogy of books about them you'll take some of the mystery out of them, and they'll fill you with lots of details you didn't need to know. (Bossk alimentary habits, for instance). Some opinions on the bounty hunters... Jango: Pretty boy, with nothing but two shiny blasters. He could have done more. Boba: Probably the coolest of the lot, still there's something I don't like. Could it be that girly scream in ROTJ? IG-88: I like him more than the droids in the prequels, from Vader's bount hunter group he was the most interesting, excepting Boba. May have needed some few moments of extra screen time. Dengar: Um... Ugly fella, does nothing. Bossk: He ate his own father, need I say more. Ugly lizard. Aurra Sing: I'm not a fan of the prequels, nor the prequel-era EU, and her role in ep I is almost non-existent. A force-sensitive Bounty Hunter, that might have been better suited for the useless bounty hunter of ep ii instead of... Zam Wessell: Uninteresting, tries to kill padme and fails. Waste of screen time.
  18. Perhaps I'm trying to do both...
  19. Followed by Barbara Hambly's Children of the Jedi and the other book where Daala finds her highschool boyfriend again...
  20. Why not reread the Crystal Star or the Black Fleet Crisis seven more time???
  21. It was in that Bounty-Hunter-Wars Trilogy, that deserves to get thrown into the Sarlacc, though the bad writing might give the Sarlacc some 1000 year long indigestion.
  22. As for GB, there is some odd way of modding it. Creating new units it's like creating GIFs you have to make the motions of when they stand still, when they move and attack. there were some tutorial therefore on that site I think or in the Forums. About the image, Thrawn send it to me and I'll host it for you, then I'll PM you the link.
  23. When reading through that project forum made me realize how unfriendly some forums are... Yeah, only the skip and the warrior, just missing about everything else.
  24. Last I heard the project was abandoned, that guy Fettmeister had many RL pressures and couldn't continue with it...
