I said it winds up defining the end of the series- not that it is. I'm referring to (Spoiler) The vision Jason has of the future, with the galaxy tipping toward darkness. (/Spoiler)
  2. You should work with those Tales of the New Republic folks, Krytos! I really think you'd be a great addittion to their team!
  3. While watching that movie I discovered something very distrubing. Approximately 11 minutes into the clip, Z.E.M.A. is mentioned to be putting up road blocks all around town. The city map on the right is from the movie clip ... http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/2609/zombiecityattackyt4.jpg The city map on the left is San Antonio, Texas. Hey, that's where I live! Uh oh, .... Coincidence? Finally! Tex has revealed his true locations! *Runs off to program the long-range nuclear missiles* *Maniacal laughter*

Ugh. I didn't care for Balance Point, though unfortunately it has a semi-paramount point in it that winds up defining the end of the series, so you have to read it anyway. Oh, that and what happens at the very end. Otherwise I'd say it's pretty much a waste to read- a lot like Dark Journey was... But then again, that's just my opinion. So far Tempest hasn't sucked quite as bad as it could (No more "Blaster bolts!" cursing, thank the Force!) though Dennings does seem to pick a favorite swear word or two for the Star Wars universe and then stick with it. That and some corny dialogue has deffinately made it the weakest in the series so far in my opinion, though I must admit that he does do a good job with character relations among the "good guys." ... He's just terrible with the "bad guys," such as (Spoiler on a main character in the LotF series you might not have known about if you haven't read any of the books in the series) Lumiya (Okay, you're good, now)
  5. I don't remember if I've posted this before, but it's still as aweful as it was when I first found it.
  6. Wow... Just... wow. I was going to put the trailer for the movie Delta Force (Starring comedians in serious action role) up to counter that, but even a film starring Chuck Norris and the guys from the Naked Gun movies can't rival that....
  7. Cat huffing! Uncyclopedia has an article on it with that same gif! Edit: Fixed the link- not sure what's up with the other sight with the same name, though....
  8. Interesting.... This shows a rather odd arm for Vader, as exposed by the force-lightning. Perhaps something useful can be gleaned from the image?
  9. It's certainly an interesting concept you've got there, Mad. I'll read the rest when I can make the time to...
  10. Impressive work, Jahled! A bit disturbing that the Executor is now a United States Ship, but then, now I can finally fulfill my dream of using force lightning on the French.

My oh my! Impressive stuff there, Jahled! I can't say I terribly cared for the books- I think it was the result of there being too many main characters- though The Hobbit was certainly one of my favorites. Oddly enough, the parts with Frodo and Sam actually seemed more interesting than any of the other parts when I was reading them... Go figure!
  12. Misstranslations are kinda sad, but really funny at the same time. Granted, English is the hardest language for someone who wasn't raised to speak it to learn, and the guy making fun of the menu is something of a dick, but it's still funny.
  13. Kitty has reached critical mass! ... Sorry- old photo. I have one made up, but photobucket doesn't seem to want to open at all... Not sure why... Ah, well: this is good for seven days, at least...
  14. Must... resist urge... to make that... new.... avatar... Resist the urge! RESIST THE URGE!

Currently reading LotF (finally). I snagged Betrayal in paperback (finally), liked it, and so grabbed the next three. Still haven't grabbed sacrifice, but by the time I get through with the two-and-a-half that I'm still reading, I'll have the money to buy it. So far I enjoyed Betrayal a lot- Aalston is one of my favorite authors for his mix of commedy and dark situations (SPOILER ALERT: Such as Syal shooting at Wedge and Han END SPOILER ALERT) Karen Travis (sp? Is that even her last name, come to think of it?) is rather good as well. Actually that might just be my "Mandalorians are friggin' awesome" bias, but I do like her stuff. That and the parallels between the two worlds with nobody knowing squat about the government. Troy Dennings- well, as I've said numerous times, I steadfastly hated Star by Star for its rambo-esque writing, and I've heard a number of complaints about the Dark Nest Trilogy from some members (Sort-of-spoiler: Force time travel? Come on![/sort of spoiler]) but hopefully Dennings has learned from his errors and will make his three books considerably less corny and rambo-like. I suppose that's one of the things I really like about Bloodlines- with little to no actual battle scenes, it's still managed to keep my attention for over two hundred pages. That's a sign of a well-thought-out-plot in my opinion.
  16. B: Palpatine. Originally there are tons of Jedi, and only two Sith! Massively unbalanced! Palpy orders some Jedi extermination, and next thing you know: Bammo! Only a handfull of Jedi against two Sith! Not quite balanced, but about as close as you're going to get to it.
  17. What took you so long? I mean, uh, good job... Congrats- you get to join the 2K club. In another decade you might even hit the 3K club! You got there with pretty much all quality posts, and for that I salute you. *Salutes*
  18. OOC: Urk! Double post! I hate doing a double post, but I finished my stuff for the next update, thus... Yeah. Here you go: IC: I was asleep when the roof exploded. Part of my mind was still sleep-deprived, and as a result I was more focused on whether or not I wanted another bowl of grayweave than how to deal with the threat that was likely to present itself from whatever had just smashed the ceiling of the crematorium. I rose from my bedding of black ash and staged a bit. I’d taken a thud bug to my left knee at the joint, right across the side. The joint had bent in a manner it wasn’t meant to, though thankfully had not broken. It still hurt tremendously, though, and had me on the heaviest painkillers I’d been able to salvage. Nal Hutta had never possessed the money for an abundant flow of bacta, so most of its pharmaceutical products were lower in quality, though there were some reports of an ancient kolto supply hidden somewhere. None of that mattered, though, because I was hungry. I staggered over to the kitchen. It had previously served the same purpose for the small family who worked in the crematorium, though they now composed my bed of ashes for refusing to let me in. I couldn’t have that, and had taken the place by force. I respected them for making a brave stand against me, though, and as a result I’d seen fit to dispose of their bodies properly. Their bravery, however, did not make up entirely for their lack of fighting skills, thus a lack of proper disposal. As I walked by I noticed a large brown furry thing emerging from a blackened crater in the floor, coughing heavily and looking amazed to see me. In retrospect I probably did look genuinely odd: I was still wearing my chest plate, bracers, helmet, gauntlets, paladins, and boots, but had removed my greaves, leaving my thighs exposed, a tangled mass of black hair over pale skin right in the middle of a black-and-silver suit of Mandalorian Protector armor, with only an undergarment preserving my dignity. I walked past him all the same and activated the grayweave machine, not bothering with a bowl and merely sticking my head underneath the spigot and spraying the slop directly into my mouth, lifting my helmet just enough to expose my mouth and a few millimeters of beard-covered upper lip, but no more. It tasted vaguely like rotting wood, with a felt-like texture that suggested a thick deposit of mold or fungus on that wood taste. “Umm, excuse us…â€
  19. Heh- unfortunately for you all (Because I know you like to see my beautiful, wonderful, brilliant, and, above all, modest face) I'm the best camera-man out of the three of us, so I wind up shooting most of the vids. Plus I'm a director of sorts- I can only do cameos. Besides, I appeared in that one. I'm "Cool Chris." ... That and I wasn't willing to trust regular Chris with a hammer near my genitals, nor to risk getting red paint caught up in my body hair from the shirt. The next video will probably involve an epic kenndo stick fight. It'll be even more epic if I can manage to secure an MP3 copy of "Requiem for a Dream" or some other good fight music.
  20. Nice to meet you, Hamster. Most folks just use their screen names for conversations, but if you prefer Mike, it's fine by me. Welcome to the site- most of us don't bite (most being the key word, there) and we're always happy to see a new face. Enjoy the site and the people. And, in a little while, enjoy Rebellion Reloaded when the Beta comes out (Speaking of Betas, guys.... *hehem* j/k)
  21. Where were you when I hit 2000 posts, Mad? I had to make mine in paint! Granted, I'd had the idea for a long time and the only way it would really work well would be in MS Paint, but still! Pretty cool looking, mate!
  22. Your friends are the scream-queens of the new century. Haha- funny fact for you: Adam didn't do the second scream with the clouds in the picture. That was the other Chris. We're going to start work on an actual coherent stupid video soon...
  23. OOC: Sure thing, Ulic. This RP is set during the Yuuzhan Vong war. People on planets throughout the galaxy stage retaliatory efforts to try to overthrow the Yuuzhan Vong. You can create a character who's a leader, a character who's a follower, anything, just so long as they resist the Vong who control the planet. You can also make 'em loners if you want, tough guys. Presently Krytos is writing his surrounding a group of soldiers stranded on Selvaris, wheras I have an exhiled Mandalorian Protector on Nal Hutta, who really couldn't care less about anything Mandalorian (IE Honor, dying well, etc.) Your character can be whoever you want, can be wherever in the galaxy you want, and can interact with other people's characters or not. Just make sure that it's okay with whoever's writing for those characters that you bump in and interact with them. Let's see, anything else? Oh, yes- I asked that we try to limit ourselves on use of Force-users in this RP. Zoot Wars got a tad crowded with them (I sort of assumed we were all supposed to be Jedi) thus I wanted to reduce clutter, especially since there were only an odd hundred or so to begin with, and their numbers dropped drastically. Granted, I've found a loophole around my own directives, but I'm evil, so it's alright.
