  1. ... I'd make some line about how immature and juvenile that was, but now I really want to do it, and I don't want to be a hypocrite.
  2. Dark Elves? The proper term is Dunmer, D! *Someone whispers that this isn't the Elderscrolls series* I- wait, what? Other people are allowed to have Dark Elves? What the heck, next thing I know you'll tell me that there are Imperials, and lizard-men in other games, too! Pshaw! *More whispering* WHAT?!?!?

  4. "Date, or date not -- there is no 'let's just friends be'." Probably my favorite one off of that site! Haha!
  5. I suggest you try the Facebook approach- tell her that you'll make a group, and if, say, 20,000 people join, you can have stormtroopers at your wedding. There are litterally thousands of Star Wars fans on that site, and some guy that went for 10,000 exceeded it by a lot. He wound up having something like 16,000 people join that group. I think he had ten thousand within the first two weeks.
  6. Tex at the movies?
  7. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's fantastic! Haha! Yoda is God! YES!
  8. Nice puddle effect, Jahled! You're very good at these animated gifs!
  9. If we do wind up creating an RP, can I just make a quick suggestion about it? Would it be too much to ask if we could all collaborate beforehand on certain things that we wanted to have happen, such as what course any hostilities would take, any skeletons in the closet for our characters, what will happen to whom when, etc? There will still be freedom to do whatever you want and have side plots and all, but I'd kind of like the opportunity to work in something of a coauthoring environment, sort of like Zoot Wars is, but without the post ordering and with a fully thought-out plot arc that we'd each have contributed to. If you think it's a bad idea and that it would be too tedious, feel free to say as much and I'll let it die- this is just brainstorming. I just thought it might be kinda handy...
  10. Musical! Anybody else remember this from something like a decade ago? It was the first completely CG television show ever. There's all sorts of parody materiel thrown in the old stuff that they did, as well as a little line about hating ABC. Rather funny.
  11. The cat kind of looks like s/he's made out of marble. I'd try the same effect with a white cat on something like Michaelangelo's David (From the waist up, preferrably). It would fit in rather well.
  12. At your local airport's customs office, along with the guy who tried to wear it on the plane.
  13. I noticed another parallel as well, though there's a spoiler in there if you haven't read it yet (IE Don't read the rest of this post, SOCL) When Jacen gets off of Yuuzhan'tar (sp?) at long last, he has to ascend the ranks of the Yuuzhan Vong in order to do so- in the end rather like how Virgil and Dante ascend from hell to purgatory upon the hide of the devil. I've been trying to find out if Matthew Stover has an FAQ about that or something, or if I can E-mail him with a question, but unfortunately I've found neither. He does however, have a rather hilarious blog.
  14. That last one has to set a record or something! Either that or those aren't all her natural kids. The most children I've ever heard of there being in a family is twelve- but fourteen? Jeeze!
  15. Okay, I just noticed this upon rereading Traitor all the way through for the first time (I suddenly realized that only reading the last third of it wasn't giving me the best possible experience, especially since I could recite it by memory pretty much from when Ganner steps into the arch on out): does anybody else think that Traitor is loosely based upon Dante's Inferno? Vergere sounds very similar to Virgil, and is Jacen's guide through the "land of the dead," just as Virgil was Dante's. I know that Vergere isn't Stover's creation, but it could have been an idea for her name from the beginning. There are also some subtle hints in there, such as the novel being in three parts as The Divine Commedy was, and Jacen asking something to the extent of where in the nine Correllian (sp?) hells he is- an obvious referance to the nine levels of hell in Dante's hell. According to Stover's wikipedia article, he's been known to dedicate books to long dead authors, such as Tolstoy (Again, sp?) so it wouldn't be too illogical to think that there's some sort of tie-in to Dante's work. What's everone else's oppinion.
  16. Haha! Great choice of Yoda pics, J! I think this qualifies as art- wouldn't you agree, Rob and Tex? http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a169/DarthTofu/HillaryBaby.jpg Oh, and by the way- I didn't make it, and the lack of comma hurts me deep down into my soul. I just didn't put forth the effort to fix it because I'm lazy.
  17. Haha! I'm going to make up flyers like that now and place them in random locations!
  18. That's officially becoming my new sig, Rob!
  19. I suppose I'll have to catch it, then... On a totally unrelated note, doesn't 300 come out on DVD relatively soon?
  20. Fun fact: According to the Wikipedia article on Canada Day, it will officially be celebrated on the second, because the first falls on a Sunday. Who'd have thunk it?
  21. Hehe- I might snatch one of those for a new avatar... Edit: I did... Oh, and did somebody say Darwin? I think I already posted it, but he seemed rather appropriate this time.
  22. Sorry, I guess I wasn't terribly specific- according to someone who may or may not have been lying, in Canada the rule is sixteen and up can have sex. I assumed that in other places it might be as young or around the same, seeing as, well, the body matures physically around fifteen or sixteen and all... Yeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaah. Damn you, BS. Now this is just awkward. Damn you, too, Mad.
  23. I don't know if they have it in Germany, but here in the U.S. they have laws pertaining to the legal age to engage in sexual intercourse. Here it's eighteen, though there are instances of, ah, sexually aroused persons who are under the legal age lying about that age to older persons of the opposite sex (Well, usually of the opposite sex). If the older person gets into a sexual relationship, even without knowing that the person they go with is a minor, they will be labeled a pedophile, fined, and given jail time. Thus, in BS's opinion, very attractive minors can be "jailbait."
  24. I won't participate in this as I have no experience with Rebellion multiplayer and don't want to be completely obliterated, but seeing as we now know the public release date for the beta, somebody might want to set up a Reloaded tournemant. It's just a suggestion, and as I said, all I want out of it is credit for the idea.
  25. Yes, you will be able to edit Rebellion Reloaded using the RebED software- it's how Reloaded is being made in the first place! Now then, as for the rest of your statements: Just to start this off, none of this will be changed strictly because you mentioned it. So far as I know, work is pretty much complete, and the beta will be released on the 4th of July. 1) Not gonna happen without the source code. Things can only be modified- you can't throw in whole new stuff, unfortunately. Not without that source code. 2) Possibly can be done, and probably has been done already. If not, you can certainly do it yourself with the editor. The color thing is porbably already done seeing as the team replaced nearly all of the preexisting images for Reloaded with brand new ones. 3) Again, I don't know if he's in there, but you can add him. 4)Ditto #3 5) Ditto #3 6) Unless the DS has been changed to Centerpoint, it won't be there. For it to act as it does in the novels is impossible, because only one faction can build a world-destroying/instant-ship-destruction device like Centerpoint would have to be- it could only function as the DS originally did in the game (To the best of my knowledge). 7) Not without the source code. As with #6, this isn't possible without the source code, unless it replaces the DS. 9) I don't know if it's in there, but you can make your own card of it. 10) Can't be done without the source code. I hope that helps, Vin. I hope we see you around here as a regular- lots of folks just show up, post once or twice, and then leave these nice forums. Fresh meat is always welcome. Wait, seeing as I'm the local cannibal, I probably shouldn't have used that exact phrasing...
