Both excellent AT-AT clips!

From my experience with the (incompetent) AI , it never bombards a system with a LNR or KDY battery, or a Gen Core (they don't prevent the AI from assualting though!). So I don't waste time or material building them, with certain exceptions. Coruscant or Rebel HQ gets a minimum of three Gen Gores (and maybe some LNR batteries for the hell of it), any "super" training facility system (and sometimes super CY systems. I don't waste system resources on super shipyard systems, they usually have enough firepower floating around to prevent attacks, if the AI knows where they exist . Besides, I want as many shipyards as possible). Any system the AI tends to bombard in raiding tactics gets a Gen Core. With a good garrison and General on important systems (with Gen Cores), these systems aren't going to the enemy without a good fight! On other systems that have Gen Cores or LNR's that get sabotaged, I usually don't replace them unless they're an important system, or I have CY's with nothing to do.

I've noticed in the "messages" that if you used an "apostrophe", you get an extra "r" character. I thought Google was better than that , otherwise I type with a lisp®. BadSamaritan wrote: FYI, your flower delivery man has to get past my "tumbleweeds" to deliver your "flowers".

There was a chain of command. Vader would have been next in line if only he would have let Luke strike down the Emperor, but I digress. It seems the chain should have went: Palpatine to Vader to some Grand Admiral to (regular) admirals/generals. Since most were killed on the DS II, that left only the (regular) admirals/generals* who would rather picker among themselves than follow the most senior admiral/general as leader. They each (wrongly) believed that "he" should be the one in charge. So the Empire splittered into its factions because there were too many "chief want-to-be's". *We do know some of the Grand Admirals survived, but for various reasons didn't get to "restore the Imperial yoke" in a timely manner.

I found this site a couple of years ago and downloaded their movie trailer, then completely forgot about it . Apparently they finished the main product. I haven't watched it just yet. Has anyone heard of this group before? http://www.brokenallegiance.net/ Go to the "Media" then "Video" links to download their movie. Check out rest of their site, it looks quite interesting.

Congratulations. As you get more knowledgable about the game "nuances" and other tactics/strategies, you'll have alot more fun and sense of accomplishment.

Aha! You've revealed the location of the secret Rebel base now! Latitude and longitude are "surface" locations only . If you want to supply your "altitude" above mean sea level, that might make things abit more complex.

With the "special" spice from the spice mines of Kessel no doubt. Next, somebody will be selling nerfburgers or Death Star cupcakes or Jawa Sandcrawler fudge or Stormtrooper helmet marshmallows. (a little more on topic) Since everyone is giving their global location, it would be only fair that we take the "average" of everybody's latitude and longitude location and have that be the meeting point location. I'd be interested to see where that would be (if it's somewhere in the ocean, then it would definitely have to be on a cruise ship ).

Stumbled across this today for those wrapping up their end-of-the-year landscaping. http://img273.imageshack.us/img273/6553/dsshrub5ej.th.gif I'm sure Jahled will modify it to "shoot down" birds or butterflies or something.

Holy Guacamole! There must be an error with the membership number ... it's currently at 5160! It was only a month ago when the 4000th person signed up. That must be a record increase! Oh nevermind, ... it's the clones. They're all signing up Maybe Evaders can look into this

Let's say Jar-Jar does get booed out of the Senate for his remark. All Palpy has to do is wait. The Separatists were gaining strength and power, which means the Republic was losing such. Palpatine needs the initial consent of the Senate or there would be a civil war within a civil war (Palpy's supporters vs. Jedi/Republic idealists vs. Separatists). There are several paths that could all lead to the same conclusion: 1) Eventually someone else would make the same motion as Jar-Jar and voila, same things happen; 2) Palpy could let the civil war rage indefinitely (he is in charge of both sides, but this can't last too long without outcry from the Senate/citizens); 3) If things drag out too long, Palpy "surrenders" to the Separatists and as part of the "surrender" (for appeasement purposes for the survivors of the Republic), Palpy is named the new leader of the CIS. Then he would have a clone AND a droid army. The Jedi would object, but even if the Jedi were prepared, could they fight against TWO armies?

Mad78 wrote: Maybe you could find some Imperial Moff's account? They're always squirreling away kickbacks, bribes, project budgets, etc. Of course, you'd have the same problem Qui-gon had on Tatooine ... nobody on Earth accepts Imperial credits (and Qui-gon couldn't use his Republic credits ).

Jahled, if you keep that up Mother Nature is going to plot animal revenge! Merkats, Gophers, Ducks, Prairie Dogs, Otters and other creatures unite against the Empire and its ADS (Animal Death Star)!

I'm sure it's a long shot (really long), but has anyone tried to contact any of the authors of these editors/cheats to see what they know and who they got their information from? I know most of these were done years ago and e-mail addresses fade with time. Just curious.

I believe that Palpy is an "ends-justify-the-means" type of guy. He probably hated the inefficiency and corruption of the bureacrats (for whatever reason, maybe he got shafted by someone he thought was less deserving or something when he was young). But anyway, early in his life he came to the conclusion that a single "just" person would be a better ruler than an inefficient and corrupt Republic. The Jedi would be the only real obstacle to stop a single person from trying to control the Republic, therefore he sought out means to defeat them (the Jedi archrivals, the Sith). In ANH he finally got around to dissolving the Senate (I believe Tarkin said they were corrupt and decayed remments of the Old Republic). Although young Palpy may have had good intentions, he probably forgot "absoulte power corrupts absolutely". And so he set himself up as Emperor to rule for the good of all the citizens of the galaxy (whether they liked it or not). Since there were those that opposed his views (i.e. the Rebellion. They remembered past histories of tyrants), he had to maintain his power by prioritizing the military to keep opposing views from reaching the rest of the galaxy. Eventually people would want a change, so he had to "maintain" order (his might makes right) to keep him in control. Playing one of AdmiralToguroAni's "what if's", IF there were no Jedi in the Republic, there would be no Sith. And Palpy would still be Emperor (just like in our own past history: Caesar, Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun, Napolean, Hitler, Stalin, and soon someday ... SpongeBob Squarepants ).

What is Star Wars Rebellion? Is it a game?
DarthTex replied to Admiral_Sarn's question in Questions from Newbies
True, but remember, we are talking about GL, leader of the evil-money-hungry-corporation Lucasfilms/Lucasarts who won't even give up source code to a graphically obsolete, dead-ended game (i.e. no "EASY" modability) that makes one bend over backwards just to tweak game data to keep the fun and thrill. -
