  3. DarthTofu wrote: Your rank means nothing to me, compared to the power of The Force! Maybe you should change your name to "Darth Spam-a-lot"? And a "dodecagon" is a 12-sided polygon
  4. Not really. I usually concentrate on the core first, and those outer rim sectors "closet" to the core, and then when I get "bored" I check the rest of the outer rim
  5. Wasn't the Mon Mothma an NRISD (NJO)?
  6. Think I, therefore am I Sucks, this whole subject matter does. To Tofu, DEATH!
  7. DarthTofu wrote: There are exactly 200 in the large galaxy. I think I'll kill you now ... for "thinking" I'd rather have even more systems to make the game more strategic (core, middle rim and outer rim). The more places the rebels have to hide the better the taste of victory when I wipe them out

  9. At the time I was looking for cheat codes, help files and expansions for the X-wing combat flight simulator. I followed a variety of links ... go here and there, and eventually ended at SWR. Since I also played Rebellion, I check it over and visited a couple of times a month before deciding to just finally join. I was really looking forward to finding the "AI competitive upgrade". And now I know the Holy Grail for Rebellion is the source code. But, there is RebED . I like to keep things as "original" as possible, and haven't yet indulged in using it to screw up the "balance". One day I hope to indulge and download a TC or two (time permitting of course. That's my ultimate constraint - time ).
  10. Out of the cities listed, I've been to the following (* some just for lay overs at the airport ). 1. Vancouver, Canada 4. Zurich, Switzerland 8. Frankfurt, Germany * 8. Montreal, Canada 16. (tie) Calgary, Canada 24. (tie) Hamburg, Germany 24. Munich, Germany 28. (tie) Brussels, Belgium * 34. Atlanta, Georgia (that's HOT-lanta!) 34. Chicago, Illinois * 34. Lexington, Kentucky (Go University of Kentucky Wildcats!) 34. Miami, Florida 39. Houston, Texas 39. Los Angeles, California 49. Seattle, Washington 52. New York, New York * 99. (tie) Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 111. Cairo, Egypt * That's 18 out of 130. Anybody else have a count?

BTW, never did finish all the missions It sounds more like a SD for the X-wing series than Tie Fighter. For Tie Fighter I only remember a Mon Cal cruiser with the name SomethingToDo when you failed the mission (at least you got to shoot up something ... boring).

  16. You mentioned "home entertainment systems", but didn't specify it had to be electronic (but I'll try to keep in the spirit of the topic). Coleco "Tank" console Coleco (hand held) football Coleco (hand held) Head-to-head football ... uuhhh ... Do the Radio Shack TRS and Commodore 64 computers count as PC's? ... Gameboy SP (OK, I bought it for the kids, but sometimes they let me play) (PS My first entertainment system was really some Lego sets, but that was quite awhile ago. I had quite the imagination. The Legos replaced the rocks, sticks and mamoth bone trinkets)
  17. I finally got a chance to download IMPS and the DivX player. Quite impressive. 200Mb for 20 minutes of view time = 10Mb per minute. So, a full length movie should only take ~1.5Gb . That would be one hell of a download! Without spoiling anything for those who haven't seen it yet: when they showed the two "characters" having their "discussions" on level 21 (I think it was 21), I was waiting for the "third alien character" to drop in and start a massive fire fight. Oh well, wishful thinking on my part.
  18. The 4,000th member has joined today (2005/10/12)! Welcome 3nn! (he/she is number 4000)

Security is never a problem, we all drive around in pickup trucks with gunracks loaded with rifles and/or shotguns, and everybody is packin' a six-shooter. You'd be a fool to try anything in public at least. *** That's all stereotype propoganda ya'll ***

  23. I have a nice wireless keyboard that has its own "mute" button . It works perfectly for your intended use. Oh, but you're using a school computer , it probably has the low budget generic keyboard . Look's like you'll have to do some "work" and double-click an icon (Oh whoa is you).

Of course, if you do have 500+ refined materials then you aren't building anything (or are very close to capturing the entire galaxy with a plethora of mines/refineries and ending the game). I almost never have surplus refined materials 'til the game is near over (when it's obvious I'm going to win so why build more ships if the enemy doesn't even have a fleet?).
