@SOCL- I remember the story from my Western Civilizations class last semester. Im pretty sure he held the bridge until everyone was safe, than destroyed the bridge, jumped in the river, and swam to the other side, so that the invading army could not easily cross the river.

I'd say the vast majority of films based on true events always have at least a little bit of fiction to help move the story along or to further develop a character. It's a neccessity in this day and age.

Damn the snow!!! Now I have a mid-term Wednesday that no one is prepared for! We learned nothing from our Caribbean Culture professor. He just rambles on and on from subject to subject. The only thing I learned is that Pirates of the Caribbean is a work of fiction because all the characters in the movie are "white guys" and none of them are actually of Caribbean descent.

I was supposed to see it this weekend but my friends backed out. Gonna see it next week. I just have to see it. Whether its a blockbuster like Spider-Man and X-Men, very decend like Fantastic 4 and Punisher, or sucks hairy moose balls like Daredevil and Hulk, I gotta see it.

I saw the trailer for this movie. I was excited when I first heard about it because it's based on the Spartan battle at Telemachy (sp), where the extremely small Spartan army defended against the invading Prussian army. But upon seeing the trailer, I now have mixed feelings. It's done by Frank Miller, so for those of you who saw Sin City, the movie has the same feel and look to it. So the movie is based very, very loosely on fact. But I enjoyed Sin City, and it still looks cool. So I want to see it based on that fact, but at the same time I'm wondering how it's really going to be... You can check it out here. Just click on the trailer icon.

Doesnt anyone care that my college town is in a state of emergency and school is closed again tomorrow, making it 3 days in a row?! There's 4-foot snow banks everywhere, compliments of the City of Oneonta's genious plow team. This leads to accidents galore, as you can't see the road when you turn out. Main Street was like never plowed, so its ridiculous to drive on. And I cant even park in my driveway because the plow man never came, so we have to park down the street a bit in a strip mall parking lot...

Well now the problem is digging out. My car is entirely covered...the only thing you can see is the side mirror. It looks like an igloo! Edit: Classes are cancelled today too! HUZZAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
