So I saw the film yesterday. It was very, very good. Better than I expected. It was definietly fictionalized, but there were a lot of historical truth about Spartan lifestyle ; with the kids being taken at the age of 7 to begin training, and the women seeing that one of their main goals of life was to bear strong children and other stuff. One of the neatest quotes was when the king goes off to lead the army, and his wife says "come back with your shield or on it", which was her way of saying to either win the battle or die. The most fictionalization comes into play with the Persian army, where a few of them appear to be monsters and mutants. I highly recommend the film. It was a very, very good "epic war" film, and certainitly surpasses "Troy", "Kingdom of Heavan", and "Alexander" and others. GO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
