  1. Im pretty sure that HQ Colonization refers to placing the Rebel HQ in the outer rim systems, rather than the core systems. But thats just my guess. As to the other terms, Im not entirely sure.
  2. Update on the retarded landlord: Well, he never sent me the lease for the apartment for this fall. So I called him last week, and he said he would send it out. Well, he called me yesterday morning, and said that I can't have the apartment. He started whining about how his wife is divorcing him, and his girlfriend wants to move away, and what it all comes down to is that he wants to sell the apartment, and doesn't want anyone living in it as he is selling it. So now, with school only a month away, I have no where to live. I have to waste one of my coveted days off to go up there now and find something else...
  3. Oh, it is. My weekends are shot, since I work those hours. I can't go anywhere or do anything...
  4. Yeah. If you bombard several times in the same day, it will cause some major damage. So if its on a slow setting, and it takes the fleet a while to get to the planet under bombardment, it can be totally destroyed within one day before the fleet can arrive and break the blockade.
  5. Is that slander or libel? I forgot which is written and which is spoken... And I prefer to do my stalkings on facebook, for your information. So check your sources next time you make wild accusations like that.
  6. I saw that and laughed!
  7. I'd say you pegged that one Tofu Yeah, he's more of a stalker. It adds to his creepiness factor.
  8. Yeah, I heard about that encyclopedia too. Sort of her last work with Potter, an encyclopedia on everything in the Potter universe. I think I also heard that she was going to send off a good portion of the proceeds to charity.
  9. I cant see Simpsons until Wednesday, my next day off. Oh, the horrors of working 1pm-10pm, with a movie theatre that has its first showings at 12...
  10. I think it would be only right to settle the dispute in online lightsaber fashion. Maybe KOTOR... Or it could always be decided by a game of Rebellion.
  11. Bureau of Sasquatch Affairs I would have put it in the Sasquatch thread, but I didn't want to triple post...
  12. What's a clan? Isn't that something Scotish? I remember from Highlander, "I am Duncan McCloud, from the clan McCloud"...
  13. Yeah, it was a show. The toys rocked. I loved the T-Rex. I can't believe I picked the wrong pic to quote though...
  14. The Potter expanded universe... Maybe it would show the adventures of Harry as an Auror. I wonder what Ron did with his life. Do you think he and Hermoine would follow Harry as Aurors? That is, of course, assuming that Harry would become one as his professional career.
  15. Nah, all the movies are $10 after 5pm. I think its like $7.50 before 5, but I forget...
  16. I love Titan A.E. It is a real quality Sci-Fi flick, done beautifully, and a must see for all ages! Edit: I started this thread last October, complaining about how the tickets cost $8.50 at our theater. Well, when we went to see Harry Potter, I was in for a surprise...the price of tickets has gone up to $10.00!!! So between last October and this July (less than a year) there have been three price increases, at 50 cent intervals, to get to the whopping $10.00 that they charge today! It is so ridiculous...
  17. Yeah, there were a lot of deaths in this book, and a lot of them were relatively major characters. Fred, Lupin, Tonks...they were all sad. But to me, it was Mad Eye's death. It was very early in the book, and he was the first of a long list of characters who die. I think when he died, I said to myself, "wow, she isn't fooling around in this book." His death paved the way for everyone else to die, so when other characters passed, it was kind of expected, as I said, "well, if she killed Mad Eye, then she can kill off pretty much anyone." And to further that belief, she had Hedwig killed moments after Mad Eye. This innocent owl had to bite the bullet. The deaths of Snape and Voldemort did not shock me in the least. I expected them to both kick the bucket in this story. @Tofu: You forgot Nagini. If you're gonna pop Bathilda's name up there, you gotta throw in Nagini too.
  18. Yeah, a lot of the deaths were sad. Not just Freds, but Lupin and Tonks also. I mean, Harry had lost his parents, and then his Godfather, but he still had Lupin as a connection to his parents. Then he and Tonks died, both of which had just had a child together. I was also shocked when Mad Eye died so early on in the book. As a more general statement, I give kudos to Rowling. For the longest time, I believed that either Harry, Ron, or Hermoine were gonna die in this book. I think she furthered those rumors in interviews and what not. Bravo to making me expect the worst, but then shocking me by not doing what I expected.

  20. I got 8 out of 10, and Im not sure how...
  21. Grim Reaper's Cat Girl gets wrong number
  22. I just finished it a few minutes ago. I did not expect as many deaths to occur, but at the same time, I was surprised at who didn't die. I was curious to see if it would take place at school or out of it (since HBP ended with Harry being uncertain of what he would do). I liked the fact that it deviated from the normal school setting, and had them traveling throughout the wizarding world. I was also sort of surprised with Snape. I didn't understand how he could still be in good graces after killing Dumbledore, when the book started getting marketed and they had posters saying "Snape. Friend or Foe?" I started to wonder if he would redeem himself. It was also interesting to see so deep into Snape, with his love for Lily and all. All in all, it was a great book, and I enjoyed it a lot. I feel it really wrapped up the story nicely. I could have done without "Nineteen Years Later", but whatever.
  23. Thats funny. Nice find J!
