  1. We generally dont do turkey on Christmas. On Christmas Eve we have a seafood dinner, and Christmas Day is usually a roast beef or ham.
  2. I thought they made a version of Jedi Outcast for the Wii- or am I just crazy? Didn't Rob mention picking it up and enjoying using his saber to hack stormies to bits? I know I enjoyed it when I was just using a computer mouse, especially with saber realistic combat No, no lightsaber combat for the Wii. I recently got Jedi Outcast for the Gamecube which I play on my Wii (backwards compatibility), but it only uses the Gamecube controller. The closest thing I have to lightsaber Wiiness is the new Lego Star Wars (which has all 6 movies), but I havent played it yet. I'll get around to it one day.
  3. How many people did you have at your place, Rob? There was 15 of us. My brother-in-law carved up half the turkey for dinner, and there was plenty of leftovers of that for everyone to take home. That left the whole other half, which will be feeding me over many nights when I go back to school next week. It as very ridiculous.
  4. Hope everyone here in the states had a good Thanksgiving. My parents ended up getting a 45 pound turkey. It was cooked in a little over 5 hours, much to everyones surprise. It was tastetacular.
  5. Oh man, the second was by far the best! The first was very good too.
  6. I love dinos K. Nice find. By the way, where is everyone today?!?!?!
  7. Bah. I was disappointed with T3. Granted, I will definitely see the 4th film (I still enjoy the Terminator franchise), but I will go into the theatres being very afriad, expecting nothing but a bunch of crap.
  8. I can't believe they are making Terminator 4 after the horror that was T3...
  9. To further my hatred of the Xbox, I give you the Smacktalk
  10. That's hilarious JH!
  11. I was just trying to be a nerd and quote Admiral Motti...
  12. That is a nice pic there JH. I concede my point based on this article. But still, an orbital space station is the way to go. That would be the ultimate power in the universe.
  13. Oh, but for the 15 minutes of fame...
  14. I doubt it would take 2 hours to orbit the Earth. The Vostok 1 orbited the Earth in under two hours. I believe that 50 years later, our modern ships can do it much faster. My belief based on that article is that the AIRCRAFT would orbit Earth while attempting to acquire a target through communication with station on the ground.
  15. Tex, not for nothing, I wish you would have mentioned that at an earlier date. It might have proven to be more interesting for my research paper.
  16. Thats a good idea Tofu. I could write better crap than half the shows that ar out there.
  17. I think at that point the last thing on your mind is the color control on your car.. you'd be fine but all your other electrical systems are fried too... Then what happens to my CD player?!?!
  18. Those are pretty sweet Def.
  19. Theres too much stuff to quote so Im not gonna do it. The system mentioned will go to orbit from earth. Seeing how it will take two hours, I assume that once in space it will remain in orbit while acquiring targeting information and what not. After firing off its payload, it can return to Earth to be rearmed. This has military implications written all over it, and I dont see it firing anything else from space but missiles (unless it is a newly devised laser beam).
  20. Yeah, they both are on strike. Im wondering if Colbert and Stewart are in support. They are the writers, and Comedy Central does air their episodes online...
  21. The Writers Guild of America is on strike This is due to something about how they are not paid for the shows that are re-aired over the internet. This is something important to me, since due to my school and work schedule, I miss important shows like Heroes, and I will be missing Lost when it comes back in February. Anywho, it is convenient for me to be able to watch the shows off the stations websites, since I do not have TiVo. I mean, if the writers get paid for re-runs on television and DVD sales, why shouldn't they also receive a portion from the advertising revenue the station makes by showing the shows online? I just want this thing over so I can return to my regularly scheduled broadcasts. PS- Another show that I am missing is my beloved Colbert Report. They are on strike too, and its sad that there are no new episodes.
  22. All I have to ask is if this new model will support a fuel made of evil, twisted, annoying old female politicians like Hillary Clinton...
  23. Ahh, but the fact is that it would be impossible to target a missile deliverance system that orbits space, as opposed to a ground based system. Also, the missiles would be harder to track. If its fired from the ground, you can see it heading up and then down, AND you can tell where it is going to land. A missile fired from space would only be going down, severely cutting down reaction time,
  24. I'd prefer it if the space program was used to head to Mars rather than for military purposes. But this reminds me of the words of Wernher Von Braun, the German rocket scientist who worked for the United States from the 40s and on: "this man-made island in the heavens...could be the greatest force for peace ever devised or one of the most terrible weapons of war." In my opinion, to put it rather bluntly, whoever controls space controls Earth. Hands down, end of story. The ability to be able to put a device in space that can rain destruction down on any area of the world in a matter of hours truly is supreme power. It makes a great deterrent, but at the same time it is a horrible weapon to actually use against another country.
  25. but im sure you could find a NES on ebay or somethin... Yeah, they are on ebay, and even in the gaming stores here in town. I just have other things to spend money on, especially with the holidays approaching.
