I was happy that the new episodes started, but I felt that Steward devoted way to much time and energy on Monday's show to the strike.

I saw Walk Hard. It was pretty funny. I was expecting a lot worse. He poked fun at a lot of musicians, like Elvis, the Beatles, Phil Ochs, and Bob Dylan. The Bob Dylan thing was hilarious!!!

I watched the new American Gladiators on TV last night. I used to watch the old one as a kid, so the new one had my interest. I must admit that I enjoyed it, and will probably be watching it regularly.

I saw the Simpsons parody "Paint Your Wagon" many episodes ago. I found the idea of Eastwood and Marvin singing quite ridiculous. Then some time last year, I was flipping through channels, and saw "Paint Your Wagon". I was shocked. I had to watch to confirm that Eastwood and Marvin were there, and they were! It was hilarious!!!

Just because I hunt doesn't mean I would want to kill it. I would hunt it by tracking it. If I found one, I would tranquilize it, then take it home and name it Harry and make it the newest member of the family...

Holy crud Eagle, that is most excellent, and I am definitely using it. So yeah, I'm going to go with being the "Resident Sasquatch Hunter". Now all I need to do is figure out an insignia. I just realized that I am now over 2400 posts, and have not changed my rank. I still dont know of one. I had my one idea, but I really dont like it. So I dunno. I think I need some help in thinking up a custom rank. What does everyone think? Also, I saw that Krytos is in the same boat, having reached over 2000...

I feel the same way about both the show and the book. I think the majority of it is now just randomness and stupidity and lost much of its intellectual humor--it's the reason I watch The Daily Show and then shut off the TV. I dont think Colbert was ever as "intelligently humorous" as the Daily Show. The Daily Show mocked the days current events, while Colbert occasionally commented on them, but generally goes off on his own rants about other stuff, with a over-exaggerated conservative view, which I find awesomely humorous. I tend to avoid The Daily Show more often these days, and stick to just Colbert. On the plus side, they settled their writers strike thingy, and will be back to new programs next Monday.

I feel that the book is exactly like his television show, and is chock-full of his random, over-exaggerated opinions. This is one book that would make an awesome book on tape (as long as he was the one reading it).

I dont mind Broadway musicals, especially since the misses enjoys them very much. We generally see at least one a year in NYC, and we watch a few movies here and there.

Im a couple of chapters into Colbert's "I Am America". It is sooo freakin great! Its one of the few books that I have read and actually laughed out loud.

I would be very afraid of having to use a typewriter. No backspace is a very bad thing.

Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite Disney flicks. Its just so utterly ridiculous, and its great!

If I didn't keep my beard trimmed and in nice shape, the misses would kill me. That would be bad.

My gf and I will be leaving in a little bit. My sister will be flying down to join us later on in the week.

I heading out to South Carolina for an almost two-week vacation tomorrow. The worst part is that it will be a 14-16 hour drive, depending on traffic and the stops we make along the way. It will be nice to get away from this chilly weather for awhile, though it was almost 50F today.

I agree with Eagle and Tofu. The term "ego-shooter" is extremely accurate.
