Yeah, the Rouge Squad games are no where near as cool and in-depth as X-Wing and TIE Fighter were. I still liked them though. I dont think a true flight sim could ever be put on a console. You need the keyboard in order to execute all the different commands for fighter. It would be horribly cheesy on a console. But Im always excited for the next Star Wars games, especially when they are older games I never got a chance to play, but now can since they are remaking it for a new system.

You know, I always forget about that event. I have had bounty hunters contact me (as the Empire) and tell me where Han is. I have also had Han tell me (as the Rebels) that he was just attacked. But I dont think I have EVER had that event happen to me, so I always forget about it. Actually, maybe once, because I think I remember saying a few years back how I finally had it happen. I dunno. Any way, that could be a plausable excuse for leaving Fett out. But was it really necessary? I mean, when Luke gets captured (after Luke knows Vader is his father), the whole "take Luke before the Emperor" event happens, where Vader drops what hes doing, picks up Luke wherever he is imprisoned, and then brings him to Coruscant to stand before the Emperor. They could have had Fett do the same. Maybe if Han was ever captured on the same planet as Fett, Fett would drop what he was doing and take Han to Jabba. I mean, Luke leaves the game for about 200-300 days to train on Dagobah, and Luke, Leia, and I think Chewie drop what they are doing to save Han from Jabba. My point is, who the heck is Noval Gariant, and what has he done with Boba Fett?

Alright, in that case, maybe I could see the exclusion of Zuckuss and Dengar. But why Boba Fett?! That would be like excluding Chewie, Lando, or Wedge from the Rebels.

Well, at least Heir to the Empire came out in 1992. So yeah, there was some time between then and Rebellion to put some more characters in. They did add in Niles Ferrier, Karrde, the Noghri, Pellaon, Covell, Bel Ibls, and I think a few others. I think a problem with Mara was for what side she would be on, since it was sort of unclear during the trilogy. Either that, or they wanted a balance of power with two primary Force users for each side (Vader, Palpy, Luke, Leia). But that has nothing to do with the bounty hunters. However, Tofu, you raised a good point. Tales of the Bounty Hunters came out in 1996. Maybe there was some kind of copyright or something in that regards that protected the bounty hunters from being used in Rebellion. But then again, in 1997, the Star Wars CCG released their Dagobah expansion, which included all those bounty hunters for the Dark Side player. So I suppose the question remains unanswered...why were those awesome bounty hunters not included in the game?

Wii to get Rouge Squadron Trilogy. I for one am excited. I never got to play the original on N64 (since I had the Playstation at the time), so I am really looking forward to playing these classic games.

They could have added in Mara or Guri. Well, I guess they couldnt add Guri, since she is dead. But I dont see why they didnt put in Mara. They had Thrawn. Its the same series of books!!!

You know, I was just thinking today. Why were the bounty hunters who appeared in ESB (Fett, Zuckuss, IG-88, 4-Lom, Bossk, and Dengar) all left out of the game? Instead of having them, who were popular enough characters, they added in some random "scum" characters like Mendo, Labanast (sp), that weird purple one, and that Noval Gariant (sp) dude. Whenever I play a game, one of the things I use RebEd for is to replace these random guys with those bounty hunters from ESB. Thankfully, someone made a cards for them, so its possible. So yeah, why were they left out in the first place? I think it was a dumb move.

I played one game, where the AI had Palpy on a diplomacy mission on a planet near one of my main bases. I sent Luke their initially (not knowing Palpy was already there), and he had one of those fights with the Emperor, making him grow stronger with the Force. Mind you, this was very early on, like day 100 or so, so Luke had not been to Dagobah yet. So I kept sending Luke there over and over (I moved a capital ship over the system and used that as Lukes staging point), and he kept fighting Palpy over and over again. Eventually, Luke actually attained the rank of "Jedi Knight" through these actions, even though he never went to Dagobah. He did eventually go, and came back with the ability to train and detect other Jedi. But he was so freakin powerful so early in the game thanks to a buttload of encounters with Palpy.

Heck, I would have been a better choice than Palin! I have more years experience than her in politics anyway. I did run for the NYS Senate in 2006...

Yeah, McCain would have been a lot better off with one of the more prominent and well-known Republicans. Palin really is a horrible choice. I feel that this decision will have a severely negative effect on McCain's campaign.

Wow...the Wii version does suck. As for the Star Destroyer, its not a level...its a cutscene. So I just sit there and watch as Starkiller brings it down. Which ending did you initially choose Tofu? Did you go for Palpy or Vader?

Ive had an itch to start playing Rebellion again, and I cant find the disc now!!! Its not with my other PC discs. Grrr...

The way I see it, the Empire has the advantage as far as diplomacy goes. The Empire is the galactic government which has been in power. The Rebellion is just that...a rebellion. People are not always as quick to join a rebellion against a government which has solidified power. So thats one advantage the Empire has in diplomacy. Secondly, Imperial diplomats can easily say "you know, not only are we the ones currently in power, but we have Star Destroyers and Death Stars. The Rebels have 'Bulk Cruisers'. I think it will be best for your people to ally with with glorious Empire."

I agree with everything you just said. I guess thats why I dont like her.

So I watched the Vice Presidential debate tonight. Anyone else catch it? As always, I support McCain's view on staying in Iraq until its over. We cant just up and leave with a time table. Its too late to do that now. However, I dont know how I feel about Palin. She seems...inadequate. I wish McCain had chosen someone else as Vice President. I dont know exactly what it is about her I dont like...maybe its her personality or something.

As of right now, the Rangers and Metallurg are tied 3-3. Its been an interesting game. Edit: OMG!!!!!!! What an ending!!! The Rangers scored the game winning goal with 20 seconds to spare. The final score: 4-3.

That is a very good point Tex. Its not tactically the best ship, but its the best of what the Rebels have available at the time. If memory serves me well, the only capital starships the Alliance starts with is the Corvette, Bulk Cruiser, Dreadnought, and Carrier. The Bulk Cruiser is better than the Corvette, but can be built faster than the Dreadnought.

Final score for the Rangers/Bern game- 8-1. @Eagle: As for other German games, I dont think so. The Ottawa Senators are playing the Frolunda Indians (Sweden) on Thursday. The Pittsburg Penguins are playing Jokerit Helsinki (Finland) on Thursday also. The New York Rangers are playing Metallurg Magnitogorsk (I think the European Champs, from Russia) tomorrow. The Tampa Bay Lightning are playing HC Slovan Bratislava (Slovakia) on...actually, they are playing right now. So yeah, there are no more German games, but maybe you can get one of these other European/NHL games.
