  3. There are numerous strategy guides that help. Between those and the manual, you'll want some patience too. Rebellion is not an easy game to learn I started with Prima's strategy guide myself.

  6. Wow - great work, I'm impressed. Some of the scenes seem to stand still though, the objects perceived as stopped due to the lack of moving background. And the speed of the probe through the sun seems unrealistic, given how fast it was travelling before and after. I found the ending self-destruct sort of abrupt. Could use some minor tweaks here and there, but overall quite good. File size seems unrealistic for a lower quality movie of this length. Perhaps try encoding it in something other than quicktime.

  10. Just ignore R2 - an oversight in the campaign. You just have to continue doing missions and your tech level will increase at certain points.

  12. Never really liked the idea of adding more obstacles in the space maps, just to turn it into a 2D ground-like map. Space is space.. and there's a lot of it. The scale of an asteroid belt or a nebula would be quite a lot larger than the spaceships. But then, I'd prefer full 3D environment (ala Homeworld) anyway
  13. I've always liked to command full assault - where you have forces both in space and on the ground. Like when you need to take out the ground defenses firing at your fleet, or try and capture the a certain Senator from Naboo while your fleet is a distraction... I wouldn't mind just having one player do both. A small minimap for both that you could toggle between to load the full ground or full space map. There has to be a good way to move units between ground and space though
  14. Sorry I do not speak German. I think Eville does - in which case you are better off talking to him directly. Going through the Babelfish translator, I think you are saying there is a problem playing maps on deathmatch mode. Does the Warlords mode appear when you create a map? Are you using the 1.1 Patch? Tried a new player profile?
  15. There are a lot of ideas. But realistically, if it was easy to be done, it would have already been done. In the end, you're going to find that Rebellion is not a game designed to be mod-friendly. Everything that you would want to change is hard-coded into the executable. Better effort would be to put your time into developing a Rebellion sequel. We have quite a forum of ideas for it, check in Rebellion 2 ideas

  19. No offensive, but the post-Apocalypse land of little technology has been done soo many times in fantasy and scifi. The generations prepare for conflict and war yet again.. its just a tried-and-true, but ultimately stale story. You need something unique to get people interested. Focus on the characters - making them unique - and you will have a good start.

  21. I just saw this video. Pretty good stuff Didn't they have someone doing this in a car commercial? I don't remember what car it was for, but I remember they were doing freerunning up and down stairs and walls

  25. I think the issue is, can you add a new model easily? Or is it still using the ISD 1 model?
