Nine Inch Nails - Into the Void

Ok, the results of that battle. I sent all fighters and Corvettes to engage them Imperial fighters, which began to work to my advantage. Though it didn't take long for the ISD mk IIs to turn their firepower onto the small Corvettes and I was forced to recall them and hope my fighters would be free soon. Well the ISDs got in firing range of my main warships and began firing on them. So I obviously ordered all ships to return fire. The battle was pretty quick with my ships concentrating fire on a single ship at a time. Fortunately the other Imps were dealing with my fighters so it was only the 4 to worry about. After taking damage to several of my ships, I had disabled 2 ISDs, causing the Imperials to retreat. So I got all my units to attack the Imperial capital ships while hey retreated and knocked out the remaining two ISDs and slightly damaged the Neb-b. Loses: Empire: 11 Defenders, 4 TIE Fighters, 4 ISD mk IIs Reb: 2 B-Wings, 5 X-Wings, 1 Corvette Damaged: My VSDs were badly damaged – one only has around 100 hitpoints left, the other lost all functionality though had around 50% hull. The same happened to one of my CC-9600s though it still had engines and the other only lost 50% of its shields. 8 Corvettes were badly damaged and will probably be scrapped, another two were mildly damaged. I was surprised by the result, and I think the only reason I got off so lightly was due to the Imperial retreat

That's great news kaja!!!! I hope the good news continues for you and your family

Yeah it works, I usually make it so that I can build VSDs (and limit myself to building them as if they were captured) and allow the Empire to build anything Corellian and the Neb-b. They really love the CC-9600!

*sniff* You're all grown up now Scath *sniff* Congrats Mate

Wow, been a while. Well a new version of the almighty mod, and a new story. I started a game as the Alliance (Yeah, bet you didn't guess that ), thoguh only in hard to test out the game. Well first thing's first, the new Fighter Factory - looked awesome. Though I was thrown off when all the ship icons were gone Nevertheless I started building up ships that were new in the game and that I was familur with from SW RPGs. Warrior gunships, Sacheens etc. Then onto one of every new ship as well. By the time my first Bothan Assault Cruiser "rolled" off the assembly line, I was scouting out the Imperial base only to find that there wasn't anything there except the the basic start up units. A quick strike from a Ranger Gunship and a Marauder Corvette started the Empire building. A second Fighter factory was built up quickly as well as a Destroyer ship yard - which meant I needed to teach them a lesson for being slow I jumped in my brand new MC-60, loaded up with 3 XJ X-Wings. I then made a passing attack on their destroyer shipyard, taking it down to half health before retreating under a hail of fire from their meagre forces. After that the game slowed down to mass production, leading up to a battle. My forces grew steadily with the larger warships taking preference over the suport ships. I'd soon reached the limit with 2 Mediators, 1 Indepenendance, 2 Nebula SDs, 1 MC90, 1 Endurance Fleet Carrier, 2 BACs and 4 Rejuvenator SD. There was a mix of support units ranging from Rangers to Corellian Frigates. I was being very smug, watching the enemy move it's forces, including two fighter factories, to the centre of the map to obtain the remainder of the RU left, and realising I could take it on with relatively minimal loses. Then, the Empire built an Executor SSD . . . dang Well, now it was essential to build up as much as I could muster to take on this SSD. I began building as many MC-60s as I could, 12 I think, as well as additional Warrior and Ranger Gunships and Corellian Frigates. I also built two Gollan IIIs (Ironically for support). I then moved my ships up to create a front line, and devided it up into several groups. Group 1 was the larger group and at the right flank of the line. Group 2 was smaller, and had far less support ships. Group 3 was fighters, Group 4 and 5 were the support ships for Groups 1 and 2. I left the Gollan's and Independance seperate. When the Imperial fleet seperated into 2 group, I launched my assault, sending the Indpenendce up the middle to meet the enemy head on. Then brought in the other groups slowly forming a semi-cirlce around them and holted. Several support ships were destroyed in my first push, though I was able to take out 2 ISD mk Is, a Dominator, 2 Allegiance as well as a score of Vics. There was still a small group of support ships left, so I began another push, seperating my only liberator and 3 Corellian Frigates to move in behind them and out flank them, creating a kill box. It was working, though before I was finished, the rest of the Imperial fleet moved into firing range - including the SSD. I quickly moved my ships back a few kilometres to re-establish a front line, and brought my Gollans closer (damn slow space stations ) Fortunatley, the SSD was at the back of the fleet (a fleet made up of a few capitals and a lot of support ships). This allowed my groups too pick off the few Victorys, Harrows and ISDs before the SSD was in true range. Once it was in range, all main groups engaged it while the support units and fighters fought their own. The SSD honed its firepower onto my lone MC-90, even its shielding didn't last long enough. Once the MC90 went down, I jumped into point blank range my 2 BACs and one mediator to use their huge missile salvos to their best effect. The SSD then brought its weaponary onto Indepence for a few salvos before giving up and engaging the Endurance. The intence barrage of the Alliance fleet groups brought the Executor to its knees, just in time to save the Endurance from destruction. With the SSD gone, the fleet groups attacked the remaining support ships. The mop up was long and messy, and I lost a significant number of support ships, during which I sent fleet 2 to the Imperial base. Once the clean up was over, I was able to look at my loses - 1 MC-90, 1 Liberator Cruise, 1 Endurance Fleet Carrier + 12 fighter squadrons and an unknown number of support ships. I quickly sent the rest of the fleet to re-enforce group 2, who where ripping apart the Imperial base after destroying the ISD mk III defender. The final unit to be destroyed was an Allegiance by a NSD and a BAC.

Ah, interesting. Are there any other Alliance ships planned to have this?

RebEd is a program that allows you to change things in the game, like ship prices, their firepower, speed etc. You can download off this sight, this page to be exact. Just try to make things fair for both sides so it's still fun

Hope and relief washed over Krytos as the TOP 2 arced down through the atmosphere where he stood. The relief he felt was only saddened with the mental scar he’d received in this twisted hell hole. Though now, at least, he’d be leaving this behind, only to face the mask of terror itself – Zoot. The TOP 2 landed mere metres from him, and a small ramp descended from the craft allowing Krytos to enter. As soon as he reached the cockpit, the ship automatically took off and headed towards the heavens. Thoughts flooded Krytos’ mind, what would he have to face next? Who had fallen in the time he had been stranded off planet? Where was he going? Though now, there was one thought that took preference, the hardest discission of all – what would he put in his smoothie?

Not sure how you lost with that arsenal. Though, I did notice in your screenshots that there were a lot more Alliance ships than listed. Your first screenshot shows at least 2 MC-90s, 1 Indpendance, 3 (maybe 4) Bulwarks, 2 MC-80a, 1 MC-80 Liberty, 3 MC-80 Maximus', 1 MC-80b Mon Remonda, 2 Mediators, 1 unknown MC, 3 Republic SDs, 1 Rejouvornator (sp?) SD, and another unknown ship. There were also the shipyards - though those I would think could hardly take on an ISD. Your second screenshot defintely shows 4 Bulwarks, as well as most of the other larger ships - though it's so cluttered you can't tell who's who. And the thrid screenshot shows 1 Mediator, 1 MC-90, 1 Independance, 1 MC-80a and a RSD being detroyed as well as an unkown ship exiting a shipyard and one of the ships that looks like the DSD (ie. DSD, EFC and RSD) exiting another shipyard. Still, with your Executor and Soverign I would think, after heavy loses, you would prevail. No idea how you lost

One of Tool's best songs Tool - Aenema

No. I used RebEd to allow me to build them. I started doing this after playing the Homeworld 2 mod, Warlods - where you can take over Imperial ships. Which made me envious

The only changes that I've made is cost, and allowing the Rebels to use VSDs. I'll post the results in a few days

Krytos lay on the ground in the fetal position, rolling side to side. His eye drawn wide, and his mind filled with muddled thoughts. The colours!!! All the colours! His inane concepts crashed to the purple floor as Krytos' comm-link came on with a familur voice. "Krytos? Can you read me?" Stunned, Krytos ruffled through his pocket searching franticlly for the communications unit. Ripping the comm-link free of his tattered clothes and jumped to his feet, he activated it. "Scathane? I'm here! Where ever here is? Come and get me up, I'll leave my comm-link on for you to track me down." Sitting back down, Krytos prayed that Scath got the message and would be able to pick him up befoer Zoot began his attack on earth.
