Well, mostly right, M'Lord. The blue sphere is the representation of a tractor beam hindering movement speed. If the only opposing side ship with a a tractor beam has it's beam disabled, the blue shere on your one ship it is targeting will go away and your movement speed on that ship will go back to normal. (it is used to help do extra damage to a ship running away before it can make it to the hyper point) Ions are best against shielding, lasers are no substitute for good turbolasers.

btw- Numerouno, I love players that actually take the time to really get into the game like you do. Some ppls miss out on that experience. =o)

*gumbles about novices* (j/k lol) yeah, the rebel HQ starts at ANY random RIM planet, but can be moved to ANY rebel-controlled planet, to include the core worlds.. and the computer is a push-over at any difficulty level. =o)

Not to bump an older thread, but it was bugging me, so I'll just say that I don't use rebed, and seeing this thread's contents with ppls going back and forth on if you can, or can't get your force-sensitive characters up to Jedi Master, and not providing any proof for either side of the argument, I decided to help settle it. (nice run-on sentance, huh?) =o) Yes. You can. It takes much longer than any game should go against a real opponent, or the computer, regardless of what difficutly you play on. I have pics through Ifranview, and to the nay-sayers about that, I have the saved game. It will only work with Reb version 1.01, standard settup, no alterations to the .dat through rebed. I'm an imperial player with 4 Jedi Master sub-characters. -Screed, Bevel Lemelisk, Dorja, and Bin Essada- I got bored after I garanteed the rebellion would never be able to beat me, and decided to do the training, set the speed on fast, and just trained until I got them all up to Master-level. =o)

lol.. I may just buy the dvd.. =o)

Assuming this was a Rebellion game? Yes, I have seen that happen many times, mostly in online play where there are a large number of ships involved in the fight.

I think most of us agree that the potential is there for this to be a great game. =o) I really hope they don't make Airspeeders almost impossible to hit, and AT-AT's really easy to knock down.. just a minor gripe of mine from previous games.. Other than that, I'm patiently awaiting this game, and will likely (for the first time in my life) pre-order it.

It's an online game.. mostly for amusement value.. I got this today. "You're all thinking too small!" exclaims Jazz Bush, an avid Star Wars fan. "What we need is more research into the possibilities of space weapons! Big laser cannon and satellites with complete annihilation power! And cool spaceships! Boom! Rat-a-tata! Bang! Bang!
