hehe.. I like that answer best, Igor. =o) I've not had any troubles on '95, '98, or XP on stopping the droids from doing thier briefing. Mind you, most of the time they try to give me the brief, I'm starting a multiplayer game, and that may be why I can skip it.

Actually, I haven't used a mods for a long time when it comes to Reb. I had the unfortunate fun of formatting my hd about half a week ago, and am still recovering. I lost the screen shots I was going to submit, but I'll start working on getting some more. =o)

Okay, I've been really working on this firewall/router issue for direct connect Reb games. I'm running windows xp, service pack 2 I have a dsl router with a built-in firewall, and I'm not using the xp firewall. I opened up the windows firewall settings, and under the exceptions tab, I clicked on the box for MicrosoftDirectplay8. The next tab over, advanced, I clicked on my internet connection, and the settings button. Services now shows me Direct Connect under the band of 375-475, and running 2500, reb's known port on the gaming zone. I don't have any1 I can test this with right now, but can anyone with some free time get together, and try to connect a reb game with some1 behind a firewall using this settup? As a reminder, http://www.swrebellion.com/postt1521.html shows some alternative bands that Reb is known to use. (In place of 375 internal port, and 475 External port) -Possibly try those settings out as well if the first set doesn't work? If I can get some info. on this before any1 else, I'll go ahead and keep updating.

Hey, all. Over Kali, ZION and I figured out that after you set it up to see that you have reb, all you have to do is open a game lobby. A reb player joins, the joiner hits i'm ready, and you both start the game through kali. (There's a tiny green shortcut that looks like a play button) This opens to the cockpit, choose mutli-player, ipx game, (join/host, respectively) and you're in. It's not as easy as it was over the Internet Gaming Zone, or it is now through Gamespy, but Kali bypasses firewalls for those of us with that issue.

Ok, I'm going to try and post some shots today. I haven't run into any particularly spectacular in game events, but I have a minor story involving a fleet I named CorSec (that was anywhere but Corellian) and how it conquered the known galaxy. =o)

Well I'll type "update" a few more times anyway. =o) Having installed it, I had no problems with the music files. Didn't have to do anything extra to make the in game music work.

(running Windows XP) All I did was install the update, no issues with the music. It's still working fine for me. Good job on the update!

lol.. that's great! When I first started playing Rebellion, I'd build thousand-ship fleets with the rebellion (on easy of course) I remember trying that in my first online game back in '98, and getting toasted for lack of skill. I think I only got out 3 ships on top of my starting fleet before the Imperial Army was at my front door with thier blasters drawn.
