The small jacks have a size of 3.5mm. I think Cannada also uses the metric system. He also needs to set the source of his incoming sound in Windows, via the small speakers symbol, beside the clock. Look for something called Recording, or similar and select Line in (that's the socket where he should plug the 3.5mm jack in his soundcard).
