  1. Well when taken into context... China is evil in a galactic empire kind-of-way.
  2. Yeah, use your creative touch, i'll take whatever help I can get. Rather than specific elements just think of theme of "basic school materials" to be represent by the imagery, so pencil, pen, writing on paper, etc... I'm not too specific.
  3. I have heard the qoute your are talking about on the History Channel's special on Star Wars which walks through the early years of George Lucas and his film school projects, the subsequent development of THX 1138, then "American Graffiti", and followed up by "Star Wars" in which Harrison Ford was not originally intended for the role of Han Solo but was brought in as an audition director helping other auditioners read the lines in the manner that Lucas was wanting. There were also black and white clips of actress Sally Field (Smokey and Bandit) auditioning as Leia, and clips of Kurt Russel (O'Neil in Stargate movie) auditioning as Han Solo.
  4. Thansk for the help guys... I will definitely attempt my own logos but I know we have excellent graphic artists here so if you want to lend a hand thanks for any help!
  5. hmm... longest possible battle would probably be (1)Lancer vs. (1)Gunship in a multiplayer game over an outer rim territory. There was a lot riding on this showdown and neither of us wanted to withdraw. The firepower and shield recharge of both these ships are nearly identicle, I think this battle took nearly two hours to resolve because both ships were fast and using nav points if the shields weakened the player could withdraw and have some time to recharge before engaging again. As psychobob said... longest battles are with small fleets. Any combination of carrack vs. weak imp ship can take a while. I have taken two/three bulk cruisers out with a single carrack in multiplayer games. I think the battle above was against kaos, but I had long ones against CD and Bob as well.
  6. Hey guys, aside for my usual random forum postings, this one is for a good cause. My university management class has us working in teams on various charity projects this semester. My team is collecting pens, pencils, and paper supplies(loose leaf or spiral bounds) to be sent to technical school students in Mali, Africa. Basically, I am the closest thing to a graphic designer in the group, which I am not that good aside from image cropping and counter strike sprays. I am looking for good free to use paper, pen, pencil icons I could combine into a logo with the text "Mali" layered across the front. Any links to free to use icons (not those with lines through them samples) or anybody that wants to submit a complete graphic would be appreciated. Looking for a 128x128 px image for distribution on charity request letters to manufactures, businesses, churches, etc. Perhaps a larger 256x256 for posters and larger media. Thanks for any submissions and permissions to use for charity purposes.
  7. The empire is evil in the communist china sense. Rules by sheer numbers of force with technologically outdated equipment and squanders resources on farfetched military schemes. Projects of government interest often take precedence over citizens rights, the removal of locals from the three gorges, etc. Their economic power and production prevents any foreign government that opposes their government model from taking the usual courses of economic sanctions or international pressure, governments find it in their best interest to do business with this evil and ensure it's continual expansion.
  8. Oh man... a Wii glove... that would spawn so many other adult oriented game releases
  9. Yeah Bob... looks promising... I haven't stolen a LucasArts title of the internet in ages. I will definitely be downloading this the day the torrent hits. If it lives up the hype I might even buy it
  10. For the love of Ann Coulter... and by the nurture of Rush Limbaugh... Conservatives shall yet prevail... I for one am all with you leftist wackos to impeach this Moderate John McCain loving cowboy Bush so that we can elect a real neo-con to office in 08' Political Advertisement from the Newt Gingrich for 2008 Presidential Committee
  11. LucasArts put two videos about the technology driving this new upcoming title on their website. Pretty neat stuff they are doing here... virtual demonstrations provided in video links. http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed/gameinfo/news/technology.html DMM -- exclusive to LucasArts for any game releases through September 2008 -- brings an unprecedented level of realism to the new generation of consoles by making completely interactive environments that react as they would in real life. From crumbling walls to shattering glass and even swaying organic plant life, in-game objects have material properties that behave realistically all in real time and without using a single frame of animation. A revolutionary behavioral-simulation engine, euphoria simulates the unpredictability of real life where no two experiences are ever the same. For the first time ever, euphoria enables interactive characters to move, act and even think like actual human beings, adapting their behavior on the fly and resulting in a different payoff ever single time.
  12. Thanks Mitth... with a little photoshoping that will be my Counter Strike spray of the day
  13. Just a quality brand Tequila... may not be available where you live but popular in the US/Mexico. http://www.sauzatequila.com/index.asp
  14. I usually just drink Tequila straight with some lime on the side. Love the Sauza Hornitos, good stuff
  15. What... you do it by the shot!? I don't like to waste anytime, here's my simple and favorite hard drink. 12+oz glass 1 8.3oz Redbull fill the rest with Absolut 80/100 vodka empty and repeat ;p
  16. Could be used to navigate a ship, especially through asteriods or space debris. I stole that idea from DS9's Dominion faction ships used an eye piece which the ship commander piloted the vessel with. There was no navigation or view screens for the other crewers. I doubt Rick Berman's creative ability to find anything original so I credit Boba Fett.
  17. PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- An 84-year-old woman accused of attempted rape involving an 11-year-old boy in her foster care has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge after confessing to having sex with the child, prosecutors said Thursday. http://emoticons4u.com/obscene/eck18.gif http://www.tdn.com/articles/2007/02/16/area_news/news02.txt
  18. I have the XP Plus themes on disc somewhere if you want... but I think M$ wants you to pay another $10 for them
  19. Haha... no but I am envious... I'm just sick of all my classes this semester. Wish it would snow here.
  20. Just prefer a good multiplayer dogfight... of course when this game came out I was playing it on 56K w/ 3dfx voodoo 3000 on MSN Zone so I have no idea what a good multiplayer dogfight would be, but if you want to give a shot one day now that everyone has nvidia geforce 8's and 15mb cable connections it should be fun Actually... come to think of it, XWA was the sole reason I got the voodoo3 in the first place. I was playing at the time on one of the early celeron 300 (no L2 cache, horrific performance, closer to Pentium MMX 133 in terms of performance) by emachines and a Rage II 4mb graphics and the game would only work in software mode. The voodoo3 was night to day change and made this game all the more playable although I missed the Tie Fighter elements.
  21. On a follow up... this is the same woman's house!!! http://www.capecodonline.com/cctimes/junkhouse15.htm
  22. Planning to end up half-dead after something that should be imperfectly safe? What happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas
  23. Must see... the luckiest guy ever... taking him with me next trip to Vegas. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/mos/skydiver.html?in_article_id=435694&in_page_id=1990&in_a_source=
  24. http://www.local6.com/news/10991469/detail.html Some people just born absent of a sense of shame? Disgusting...
  25. LOL... wow, another one of my drunken stoopers has turned into a multi-page thread... glad I decided to check in on it
