I read about that Mass Effect thing on another website. Its ridiculous for someone to pass such a jugement without having ven played the game. She had it coming i tell you.

I just found out about a Lego Indiana Jones game coming out- looks like that'll be as much fun as Lego Star Wars. Possibly. I never really played that game much, though, so I can't pass judgment.

I'm totally playing Force Unleashed on my friend's X-Box 360. Awesome looking game!

Man, Im glad I have a Wii...

Actually, what I've read says that only the XBox 360 and the PS3 will run the Havoc and Euphoria engines that make the game really innovative. The Wii will get a special 'duel' mode instead, but I don't think it would look as great as the other versions.

I dont have an X-Box or a PS3, so I gotta rely on the Wii version of games, which, while they suck compared to the other systems, at least I can play a few of the new multi-platform games.

If it can be coded to work on Microsoft's XBox 360, it can be run on a PC. The Havoc and Euphoria engines scream for a PC. Sadly I think this has to do with preventing piracy more than anything else. I doubt we'd see a PC version until the consoles have run their course and they have no further profits to gain.

Man, why is it that Lucas Arts always gives the best stuff to Nintendo? I mean, when was the lest time one of the Rogue squadron games was made available on PC?

Rogue Squadron 3D

Been playing some Assassin's Creed. Thought it was good, though the save citizen missions were gitting a little tiring by the end.

Woman: Help! Please somone! These guards wont leave me alone!

Me: *Sigh* This had better be the last person I save in the game.

I have to admit that the slight boredom I started to feel at the end inspired me to greater and greater feats of swordsmanship as I tried to find faster ways of mowing down crowds of guards.

I see no reference to a PC version

http://www.gametrailers.com/game/3067.html

(or on any other site) - I believe its deliberately a console-only game.

No, Force Unleashed will not hit my PC.. evar! On the upside, the RTS genre is still primarily PC-dominated, and I like RTS games. :)

You consider only 14% of game sales were PC games... of course they are shaking.

In RTS world, even they are trying to move towards consoles.. consider

- Supreme Commander - developing a version for the XBox 360

- Halo Wars - developed exclusively for the XBox 360 (no PC version announced)

Plus, the PC already has DX10 support, but all those "nextgen" console are on DX9. That means, all the new games must be coded to get along with the older DX's capabilities (if they want to have a console version. And they always do)

I wish we could see something that happened in the late 80's, when the PC market actually began. It was so clear, what PCs had to offer against the arcade world. But the "intelligent gamer" as target group is not really bounded to the PC today, or atleast not in such a scale. But there are sure some attributes, the PC still could use against the nextgens.

From where do you have that number, Evaders? I´ve heard about whole a lot more PC-Gamers. Maybe that number was just about the US-Market? One thing is that lots of people allready have a PC at home, so it´s the most common gaming-platform. Another aspect is that RTS works far better on PCs and never called the consoles their home.

When the Playstation 2 and the X-Box came out back in 2000/2001, people were concerned about that this might be the end of the PC. But it´s still alive today. The thing is that you´ve got different kind of games for each platform. I may be wrong, though I don´t know all games, but there are rather lightweights of games for the consoles IMO. While for the PC there are games with much more complexity, like RTS and RPGs. A game like Rebellion fe. would have never been released for a console. I know that there are games like Civ or Halo, which are available for both platforms, but I guess these kind of games are better to handle on a PC where you can control it with mouse and keyboard.

Supposedly Halo I for PC sucked- something to do with poor coding, I believe. I've gotten into Battlefront again, this time on PS2- awesome to play on that as opposed to a compy. How do you hook a PS2 up to the Internet, and is it free? I'd not mind going against a few forum members if it's free... If not, I can always go PC, but there I'm going to suck awfully.

It's still alive, but not more than that. And if you take the new CnC game or the new console rts Endwar as an example, you'll see that those games are leaving the PC slowly, and getting ready to work on the console in the future.

I don't see a game like Rebellion today.

Halo really sucked on PC as Tofu wrote. And Civ? The last one is 3 years old, and the new one? Just take a look at this:

I mean... this hurts!

The PS2 internet is free, though it is...iffy. It tends to really, REALLY suck. I tried to play an NHL game online, but that ended up being a ridiculous process due to EA Sports. I have played a WWF (sorry,WWE) game online, but it lagged a lot. I didnt know that Battlefront was online playable. But if it is, just plug the PS2 into a router and you're good to go. I guess it will be trial and error, just plug it in and see what happens. But I can vouch for the freeness of it, so whats there to lose?

:? I am highly sceptic about a Civ game played on a console. Kinda looses its soul.
