Speaking of Empire at War and its expansion Forces of Corruption, I recently downloaded a mod someone made for them that puts General Grievous and his ship (Invisible Hand) on the side of the Consortium.

Here's some pictures of Grievous in action:

Not to bad eh?

The commandos look quite nice. If I can have this game for a longer term from my friend, I may try this mod out.

I have it on XBox and found it alright to control but the gameplay was rather repetitive. I have yet to try it on PC but I would love to.

I just find that the enemies move too fast and run circles around me. Either that or I just suck...

Maybe if you try increasing the mouse sensitivity you will be able to follow them better. No it is true that the Sith move fast. But if you use the speed force power things become much easier.

Today I got Bully for the PS2, and it is awesome! For those of you who have never heard of it, it's made by the same people that made the Grand Theft Auto series. It's like being in High School all over again. The game starts off with your parents dropping you off at a private school and you have to go to classes and make the grades and such. However, you can get into fights with other students, break into lockers, play pranks, sneak out of the dormatory past curfew. The schools got its share of students: jocks, preps, nerds, etc.

Anyway, think GTA, only in Private School, and less violent.

I have been trying to get that game for quite some time. It looks brilliant!

I guess I'll find it in a second hand bin someday.

I found a new copy at my local gamestore, but it was a "Greatest Hits" copy with the red label. Not that that bothers me, but some people are particular about such things.

I also saw it at Walmart a while back too.

There's a lot of cool stuff in this game and I'm sorry I didn't buy it sooner.

Allthough I´m not someone who is regularly playing RPGs I´m waiting for Fallout 3. The first two, especially the second, were just a blast. :D

It´s just so politically uncorrect, full of absurd creatures and places.

I´ve enjoyed repairing a nuclear plant, having mutant or robot party-members, wearing power-armour and a mini-gun. Oh, I have to reinstall Fallout 2 again. :D

Oh, btw, here´s the teaser for Fallout 3, which is supposed to have modern 3D graphics. Don´t know how this will work with that kind of game.

It is! And there´s much more I can´t describe, because it´s just too much. Some games are cult for good reasons. ;)

To name just a view features:

You can become a slavetrader or a marshal, a boxer, comedian or, yes, even a porn-star.

You can have shotguns, colts, light machine-guns, laser- and plasma-weapons. Different types of armour and much much more. But it´s not just about the weapons. There are also lots of crazy NPCs, drugs, robots, mutants, mutant plants, mutant animals (the cows have two heads) and alien.

BTW I´ve screwed up one of the links in my post above. Here´s what I first wanted to post:

Fallout 2 is by far one of the best RPG's I've ever played. Too funny. The scene makes it pretty cool, and you can start to grow extra arms and stuff! (sweet nourishing radiation!) I've spent alot of hours playing this classic. Very fun. I had not heard there would be a 3 but I hope some of the style of humor stays true to the second installment. Worth a look anyway.
His mishappen head, lidless eyes and twisted, hunched back distanced him even further from what the Masters had wanted. It was obvious from the get-go that Exedore Formo would never be a warrior. But they did need a lawgiver…

Not much to really see on Tiberium yet, but it should be alright. C&C3 isn't too shabby, and is still fun to play - Tiberium has more of Tiberium Sun feel to it mixed with Renegade so hopefully will be lots of fun :)

Though the video doesnt show it, some of the units (like the orca) are from the early concept art of C&C3 .. damn, why weren't they in the RTS?!

As for me, I'm looking forward to the Highlander game. I just need to get a PS3...

That's looks promising. Hopefully, it will not suck like most video games which are based on movies do.

You guys ever notice that? As soon as Hollywood releases a film, some company makes a game based on it, and it turns out to be crap usually.

Are there any games based on movies that are good?

I loved the Godfather game on the PS2. It was like GTA set in the time of the movie. You play a entry-level goon in the Corleone family and eventually make your way up the mafia ladder.

I think that when the game comes out for a new movie, it will definitely suck. But I feel that games that come out based on older movies are better.

As for the Highlander game, it looks like it will take place through various times throughout civilization. It looks very promising, and I am very excited.

Yes, me too.

I´ve found a

, which obviously shows the new graphics-engine. And I must say that I like that look. It recambles the look of the first two fallout parts.

Yep! Because it´s quite easy for them to use something for which a franchise just exists. So that the success of such a game (or the other way round, the movie for that game) is quite predictable for the studios. It even hasn´t to be a good game. But as long as the kids buy everything without criticism or reading reviews etc. ;)

Its such a pity! Good thing that there are still some people about to make GOOD games.

The Mass Effect controversy

Doesn't this make you mad? Seriously how ignorant are these people who try to blame video games for society's woes.

So long as there are people in the world, there will be idiots in the world. And I will hate them.

Played a good ol' classic today: Age of Empires: Rise of Rome. Great old game; I can only beat it with cheats, though. The enemy always builds up way too many units to defeat them all.

Oh, yeah! Some may tell something else, but I tend to say that the first AoE incl. its addon is by far the best of the whole series. I still love it! Gotta install it again to let my roman legions conquer the whole world (which was at that time just the region of europe, north africa and west asia more or less  ).

To get back to the Fallout-Topic, I´ve totally forgot to post about the fanmade "Restoration Project", which is a kind of patch and/or addon and includes lots of stuff, that should have been in the game or in an addon. That was in planning, but has been abandonned by the developers. You can download it here. There you also will find a list of all the new items, locations and bug-fixes.

I am currently playing The Looney Tunes: Lost in Time. Its amazing how amusing the game is. :D
