Trejiuvanat Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 WOrmie, I don't know about killing any more mian chars. Chewie had to be killed because he was the most susceptible, he wasn't part of the Solo family, and for years he had been reduced to a nanny. Anakin was killed to enhance the tragic effect. I doubt anyone else will be getting killed. Somehwre I read that Sue Rostoni, from LucasBookswould try not to kill more main chars.Ben Skywalker was created recently. Perhaps after the NJO is over we'll be seeing more Ben novels. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif

dinochick Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 Wouldn't be crazy to find out that GL has already filmed parts for more movies that take place after ROTJ I definatly wouldn't put it past him that would pretty much rock I think, what do you all think. http://www.dinochick.com/dc_saber_banner_02.gif

I don't know... It nice to think so, but with the power of the media nowadays, I think it's pretty hard to keep such things a secret. Nevertheless, assuming GL has done so, what would you think the movies after EPIII would be about?

Nevertheless, assuming GL has done so, what would you think the movies after EPIII would be about? I would like to think that GL has doen this and isn't all about marketing ploys, but i would be cool to see more of the story after ROTJ, like about Han and Leia's children and Mara and Luke and how they meet and all. I honestly haven't read a single EU book yet though http://www.dinochick.com/dc_saber_banner_02.gif
Guest Scathane Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Well a lot of people probabably haven't read any EU novels, so that would make a movie about them interesting, I must admit. By the way, I genuinly think that GL is about more than marketing ploys alone: I think he's got this great fantasy in his head, which is great, considering what Star Wars has brought us so far. BUT, Lucasarts is a company, is a company, is a company..... and I'm afraid they're all about marketing ploys!!!
Trejiuvanat Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Sorry, Scathane, Sometimes I take thigns a bit to seriously, soemtimes not. And filling blanks. Tatooine Ghost just came out, and next year Survivior's Quest will deal with Luke and Mara...Eps I-III focus on Anakin Skywalker.Eps. ElvisMiggell Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Mr Lucas has already done some of the filming for EpIII. Whilst they were in Tunisia doing the Tatooine scenes for EpII they shot all the Tatooine scenes for EpIII as well to save having to go back there. Elvismiggell. Tatooine Ghost just came out, and next year Survivior's Quest will deal with Luke and Mara... I must agree, I have around 70 of the Star Wars books and I can't get enough of the story after the story. Though I would think that GL would read some of the books before adding stuff into the movie that has already been touched on. The Death Star was (in th ebooks) created by a group of scientists in the Maw cluster, near Kessel, but in the movies it was Already invented before Palpatine declared himself Emporer. How about some consistansy. nuff. Ya, I head them say that is one of the extra parts on the AOTC DVD. Pretty cool. So at least we KNOW that there will be something that happens on Tatooine! http://www.dinochick.com/dc_saber_banner_02.gif
Jahled Posted March 26, 2003 Author Posted March 26, 2003 ...which will presumably be some emotional scene of a young baby being delivered to his grumpy uncle.... BUT BY WHO?!? My guess...call me an oracle...is by Ben...'You must protect him,' type of thing...mumble..mutter... http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
Trejiuvanat Posted March 26, 2003 Posted March 26, 2003 Yes, it is one scene inthe desert. A man (Obi-Wan) is supposed to take small baby to his uncle on Tatooine. It's supposed to be the ending seen, so probably no dialogue.I have seen the AOTC DVD, bonus materials consisted in deleted scenes, concepts, nothing on Ep III. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Guest Scathane Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 Is there any reason, by the way, why Obi-wan chose Tatooine to go into hiding? Of course you could reason that he knew he had to train Luke sooner or later, but then, why didn's he choose Leia?
ElvisMiggell Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 Cos boys are better than girls obviously....! Um, we'd probably ask the same question if it were the other way round. I'd say Tatooine because it's easier to hide on that Alderaan. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Because GL knew that it would be more dramatic if a father had to face his son rather than his daughter. Trejiuvanat Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 I don't know about wha tGL meant with that, but from the EU (especially I, Jedi) I get the impression that Obi-Wan went to Tatooine, and Ylenic It'Kla went to ALderaan to watch over Leia, and arrange things with the CAamasi Remnant...In ANH Infinities he faces his daughter. http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
Guest Scathane Posted March 28, 2003 Posted March 28, 2003 Ylenic It'Kla....., voted to have the hardest pronouncable name in the far, far away galaxy.

Trejiuvanat Posted March 30, 2003 Posted March 30, 2003 I bought it via my local bookstore, it's almost impossible to get Sw books around here. So they make special order. You could buy it on Amazon.... http://www.swrebellion.com/~jahled/Trej/banner.gif
ElvisMiggell Posted March 31, 2003 Posted March 31, 2003 Yeh, it's actually a tpb from a series of comics, not a book. Elvismiggell. Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you can ever imagine... Nu kyr'adyc, shi taab'echaaj'la Not gone, merely marching far away
wormie Posted March 31, 2003 Posted March 31, 2003 Well then, once I get paid I shall venture over to my nearest book/comic store and see if they have it.. Thanks. Jahled Posted March 31, 2003 Author Posted March 31, 2003 You guys are beginning to intrigue me about the books comming out recently! The last expanded book I read was Darksaber. It was purchaced at an airport, got read most of the time floating on a boat off Spain, and when was finnished; was thrown into the Meditarian. (sorry for the economic vandlism!). I thought it was such a piece of crap I have not gone near a Star Was book since. If, however, just if, I was to wander down to WHSmiths tomorrow in my lunch, what should I get? I'm well out of touch, even about the Vegetable-Vong. Any ideas http://www.jahled.co.uk/smallmonkeywars.gif
