  1. The Garrison Code does not work with Space Units. This was King A's idea to ask me if I could do it and get it working. I also told him the same thing. We tried on this very forum to figure out how to get it working - but to no avail :-\ It's a damned good idea though and looks great. Pity it can't work though. Hmm yea Dash Rendars face is a bit off, it doesn't really resemble him much. Not from my picture archives, but its a good effort skinning him over Han Solo though. I think THX did good considering what he was working with.

  3. The Alliance logo's are not that visible in the middle of the ship - just parts of the edges,. It's really not that bad and just gives the SSD more of the fact its a Rebel SSD. I see them like Team colours a little bit, but like I said its really not that bad. It's the best THX could do on it out of all the SSD models avialable.

  6. That picture was posted by Fordo I think his name is, he was asking if it is possible to turn them into carriers. i.e a transport ship like that - which looks like it uses garrison code. I have no idea hwere he got the picture or if he made it up. I forgot to ask him ! But no I haven't done this in the mod so far.
  7. I think the bridge of the Star Destroyer and Ackbars ship look good, only that realistically they aren't pratical. The camera was designed to be more like that of a star fighter.   8. Think I am going to go back to bed ;D My Squad code does say what Z3r0x said it should be after all. There is nothing to change there either. :-\ I still have a copy of the entire code I did for that trooper so I have been checking through it.
  9. ok Z, I forgot about the squad entry I was talking about the Container information in my last post. I figured out what I did wrong in the coding I gave to code user and the reason why its running in circles. As Z3r0x said its Infantry not team. Codeuser all you should need to do is change that in bold to what Z3r0x said. to LAND_TEAM_INFANTRY_LOCOMOTOR it should be fixed then. Sorry buddy I missed this in the code - but like I said strangely it worked fine when I was testing it in a FOC game.
  10. I think the code I gave you does have that line Z3r0x mentioned. Like I said when I tested this code it worked fine on my game, Dr Nick. Sure enough it does have: So it cannot be that either. The code I posted is the code I made for Dr Nick for an Infantry model he has I won't post the entire code though,. I noticed in the code I made though I wrote it for FOC but it should work in EAW 1.05 as well. You should remove the Garrison code bit mentioned - I forgot to remove it. EAW does not know what Garrison Category IS ! - other than that I know this was working fine when I tested the model and code - other than the shadow problem I told you about,.
  11. Actually Logan there isn't any I checked all my DVD's. ROTS is useless the shot of the bridge is obscured by the Emperor and Darth Vader and Tarkin at the end of the movie. The angle is awkward and would not suit being a menu background. ESB ones are not bad but the best one and closest one to the port windows was the Executor from ROTJ - which is the one I then worked with. It originally had Piet and some officer in the shot. This in my opinion was the best way I could do the bridge. The off centre thing was deliberate so I could fit the side window in as well that would also show some of the demo attract.

It's ok shak, down drill him down Avenger has been a real help to the mod - so give him a break. @Avenger it's ok mate, I was just waiting for you to send the updated Juggernaut you told me about in a PM. I know your busy - wasn't expected to get this till after easter if any time The Executor bridge has been asked for twice for the Empire, however the bridge is just the same as any other Star Destroyer I think. It is also hard to use on the Menu Background as much of the Demo Attract will be hidden. Unless I can use my DVD software to zoom right up close to the windows and try and make it as big as possible. - I will have to play about with this.

  15. I think the default will be the Ackbar one. People like I say will be able to pick there own, I'll include all of the menu backgrounds so people can choose the one they like best.   16. I have come up with a better idea. As people like all three of the suggested menu backgrounds - I am going to include all three in all the remaining builds. People can choose their own Menu Background and have their version of SOTE look different to another same build of SOTE. It's pretty easy - to replace the menu background you just need to copy and paste your preferred menu over into the textures folder. The game will then load with the preferred menu background. This I hope will give everyone what they want.
  17. LOL it doesn't really help me decide at all ! - HK The X Wing one could be low res I don't know one of my team members gave me a picture of an X-Wing cockpit to try and use. I messed with it in Photoshop and that's how it works. The original picture was much smaller. Other than that the menu for that works and looks fine. The Ackbar one was taken from a DVD movie shot, and had to be manipulated to the right dimensions. My dislikes with the menu I did was to me I thought Ackbar was looking a bit stretched. But it seemed to be the best I could do with the picture I had to hand. It is other wise a good menu as well the only other odd thing about using a menu like that is that Akbar some times collides with other larger ships. (Which the camera seems to do either way) - I also added Shadow of the Empire text to later versions of it. I am not so keen to use the Lambda Shuttle - It's been used before by SAU I updated the menu for SOTE and FOC a bit. I have been using it for private beta builds (non public) but I want my own menu for the public builds of SOTE that I know I made 100% JC

  19. There isn't 3 Jerecs - where you get that from ? - ahh ok I see .. He can be built up to three times ? like you know not all at once that is. You can 're' build him another two times after the first time.. does that make better sense ;D oh and thanks Daft Vader, I have a working Battle of Endor Demo Attract Screen now so it will also be in Alpha 7

  21. I am still not seeing everyone who joined to be a beta tester joining the forums DV created for us. If your a beta tester for SOTE you 'need' to join the new forum in order to receive any future beta copies of the mod guys. You have a proper beta forum now to access the updated beta's of this mod. So join up so you can be placed into the beta testing user group on the forums !
  22. Don't forget though this site as with the other one has helped the SOTE project get going. None of you would be involved with it now if I didn't start a few threads about it in the first place. I don't see this as spamming in a community projects forum anyway, it's why the forum is here, for project's like this to show case what they are up to and how far we have got !
  23. OK, its very basic looking right now - nothing too impressive, but its only an Invisionfree forum for now. I might start a proper hosted forum soon for SOTE with a much better web site and forum look and feel to it that is deserving of Star Wars. Don't forget to keep posting up news and updates here too. It's good of FOSH to have added SOTE to the community projects forum so lets keep this going too
  24. hey DV I will be on MSN - see if you can get on as there a few things I want to talk with you about Also I have a general question to everyone who has been testing this in GC mode. - I notice when I test the game that Naboo only ever builds a heavy ship yard in the Maw campaign when I play the Empire. Has any one had any experiences of the AI preferring to build only one type of ship yard ? - I would like to know what ever you have experienced on the AI building ship yards, whether its ever only the same one or type or if you find it does build more than one type. Let me know - this will help me to decide whether to re do how ship yards work in GC mode. If it needs re doing then I need to know.
