  1. Then of course it would be the MKI your doing then - cause the MK II didn't have them - 'Replaced with Turbo laser batteries' they were.
  2. Whats a MK I Sonic ? - the one in the game put there by the developers or the one in your screenshot - you got me confused ? As far as I am concerned the one originally put there in the game when you bought it IS a MK I VSD has all the signs its supposed to be one. Even more so because what its supposed to be carrying on board = its obviously a MK I I's like some one to do a good MKII version with more hardpoints for more turbo laser batteries Ion cannons which the MKII has instead of missile launchers,.
  3. I was actually suprised to see how easy it is to make an icon in photoshop CS with an alpha channel. Really not hard at all.. you can then save as PSD if you like to keep a back up. Or just copy them right into the MTD file.
  4. I have already posted what the MK II was used for ? Was used for: Sector Patrol Duties / Interdiction duties against Rebel / Pirate forces. The MK II's were used in groups of two with other vessels in a fleet. They had Projector Beam Projectors were generally weaker than the MK I. the MK II also had their missile launchers removed and replaced with more Turbo Laser turrets. They were also equipped with Ion Cannon batteries. They did NOT carry TIE Bombers just TIE Fighters - obviously the ship was made lighter because they were used for interdiction duties. They were more manoverable and faster than the MK I VSD. I checked wookiepedia for this information and I haven't seen any other site contradict this information
  5. I have to differ - how do you know its the VSD MKII thats already in the game and not the MKI ? I really think they didn't bother to specify which one it is - just rather its a Victory Destroyer. Besides it can't be a MK II in the game already. - I haven't even seen a realistic MK II made for the game yet. Victory MKI - had a hanger bay and could deploy both TIE Fighters and TIE Bombers Victory MKII - only deployed TIE Fighters - shields wasn't as strong as the MK I but was faster, and also had tractor beam projectors. Were not used as much as the MK I I think I recall reading. They had Carried more Turbo Laser turrets rather than more concussion missile launchers that the MK I had - although I dont recall that the one in the game even has those at all. But basically oddly enough it was generally weaker than the MK I according to wookiepedia the ship traded firepower and shields for manoverability and speed. This ship also carried ION Cannons as well as the Tractor Beam projectors. I think it only carried TIE Fighters because of the fact they wanted the ship to be faster and more manoverable. But anyway I haven't seen a single mod - model or what ever to meet these specs yet for a Victory MK II.
  6. YES. But VB is pretty expensive. Do you want to seriously lobby your members to cough up that kind of money for a licence ? - there are different licences available including a life time one. In the long term its a worth while upgrade its a rock solid board and pretty customisable and has lots of plugins you can add to the site features. I only quibble about the cost of a licence and exactly who will pay up for it. Considering if you were going to ask the members to donate to the cause and raise the money for the licence then its great - out of all the members you are supposed to have here and the amount who are active each member would only need to donate a certain amount of money in any case.
  7. I think VB is the way to go - I have never talked to any of you about this but I used to run several web sites and have compared each of the leading forum software vendors available. As a web master I ran a few techy sites for software and hardware problem solving sites. I have installed and ran Invisionboard - 2.0 is a great version and has good features - very dynamic and can be modified to your tastes via addons/mods you can install. Any guy who knows XML Coding can do it. PHPBB - its, FREE and good, but its a bit flacky. Can be modified to your needs via mods and addons. - Can be a bit unstable though. - when adding mods to it. V Bulletin Boards. Rock Solid. Can be modified and changed to suit your needs. Plenty of features and looks great. Downside the licence is very expensive. - But easy to moderate / Administrate and use. Out of all of these I used Invisionboard and used to write XML code for mods / Addons for the software - its VERY easy to use and not too expensive. So for me it would be eithewr VB or preferably Invisionboard 2.0
  8. It might take a bit of work to get the site to back where it was I think so many posts and threads lost as well as user accounts (including mine) was lost - the forums seem very still at the moment going to have to work on getting people backand re gain peoples confidence in the site.
  9. no, its not the post count I am bothered about - its the content I am upset about loosing stuff I posted about. Really find it unbelivable that no one thought to make a recent back up of a site that is as popular as this.
  10. Well I'm seriously upset with the site I just had to re register ???
