  2. @LOS the Strike Cruiser is a Rebel captured variant they used that had Gravitywell domes attached to it. Its perfectly ok

  4. There's a bit of weird bug in my mod too. It regards Rebels using a Raid force to attack a planet then you try to retreat, then the game does an exception error. I am trying to figure out why it wont let the rebels retreat from battle - or is it a structure or unit causing it ?

  7. Shadow of the Empire Skrimish Map Competition We have started a new competion for Skirmish maps that we would like to add to our mod. The maps that are chosen and are succesful will be added to the Addon pack for the SOTE mod. Please send your maps to Daft Vader (he is running this competition) if you wish to enter. He would like your maps sent to him via an upload to a site such as Megaupload.com or Rapidshare.com - then send him the link via PM. You can contact Daft Vader either on PFF or at the SOTE mod forums. Please do not post links to your maps in public Daft Vader would like them via PM. thanks !
  8. hmm as for the sabotage ability I have added this to some of my Empire and Rebel agents - they can sabotage things if you give them that ability. With out the corruption system I think..

  13. to me the helmets look the best may I be critical ? I just think the legs look a bit chunky. and the decal around the knees doesn't seem right to the pictures I have of the Clone Trooper. Don't flame for this its just an oppinion one that I hope will be taken in the right light.
  14. oh it works alright. I have this in my mod I am working on. I use it for my Spec force units and other Commando type units.
  15. I am pretty sure I got this ability working with some special ops guys I was using in my mod. The ability worked for me. - yep I thought I had used it on another unit. I use it for my Katarn Commandoes.. Here is people telling me I do not know my work.. Yes this actually works. For the sake of more negative feedback I'll just post my code. I think this is all I did to make it work. I think DROID you may of missed the bit at the end ? The Proximity mine ability name - if not then I do not know what you have done. By the way calm down and talk to people properly instead of ranting like that. I have tried to explain to the guy who made this thread I have this ability working with my own units, so IMO I do know what I am on about. Although Blackmarketitems is not needed for this ability to work in this case. Looks like you did miss some thing in the land behaviour code I think.
  16. Thanks Dr.Nick .. - yes I know about the wrist being bent - seems weird. I do not know if or what I will release for public use. Some of it I can't you would be better writing to the authors who made the actual version of the model you would like. Nothing will be given out from me anyway until my own public mod is completed. I'll see after that what people would like to use and then see how best to help you get your requests.
  17. I have done this for all my custom coding using abilities this way. Yea it makes it show for any faction you wish to use the ability for however there is more to doing abilities than just that - I forgot to mention.. I was first talking about doing this... EXAMPLE: This was just modified fromt he swap weapons ability. I set the requirement to no. The ablity works fine then.. BUT IF you are doing an ability that is a bit more complicated like using Buzz Droids then you need to comment that above AND also the BlackmarketItems.xml file and add the unit you want to have the ability to the relevant section: For Proximity mines for example.. so we change it to So that means now if you have added the proximity mines ability to the Rebel Soldier - and did the trick with the Black Market items as I mentioned in the first part of the post, then Rebel Soldiers will (should now be able to lay the mines). The code here is example only and not the exact code. Hopefully this explains what I was saying better.
  18. I have found so far they are not needed - but it was planned to add a few more hardpoints - not sure if they will be done yet.   19. Set Black Market Items to 'No' in the code - it ignores this requirement then.
  20. @Dr Nick - yes I noticed it too.. Didn't think much of it though ! Yes a good few models have Rotating turrets in SOTE. I don't kno wif more will be done on any other models yet. So far we have Avenger85's SD's and his Venator all with rotating turrets, and now the Bayonet too. I'll keep you all posted if we get more.
  21. Just to add the Bayonet has a rotating turret. (Shak did this in his conversion)
  22. It's not really a bug - it is some thing I forgot to do in the code to make sure it could just be built once
  23. It's a complete screw up on my part that there are two of them or more in that build. Sould only ever be one built at a time. I fixed this in later builds.
  24. I haven't even seen any pictures of XWA for a long time I think I have it in my old CD games some where.. The graphics were not that great I thought on that game.
