I need someone's GC with a new faction to work off of, take my turrets as advance payment...(I still don't get the difference...I think that we are all forgetting something in the turrets, as well as the conquests...) Yes my turrets work in skirmish Factions.xml/Expansion_Factions.xml tell what AI it uses. You can choose any of the existing AI types and add to it, they seem to work for skirmish - they try to build the stuff from the other faction but can't, so they revert to builing stuff from their own faction. Apparently the AI are active in GC as well...I was playing against my new faction and it exceptioned - meaning, the AI actually moved its fleet to attack. (The only reason it ever exceptions now, I've played GC completely without it using every single unit, no exception...well at least the exception told me one thing >.<) Oh right that the enemy thing...shoot. *goes over and checks*

Ok, I thought I got it all worked out but no, still can't get GC working. 1) I lose after 1 day 2) Exception Error as soon as a battle starts Yes I made my own GC specific to my faction, I even made a totally NEW GC with all-new planet layouts but meh, it doesn't work. Maybe I'll have to get rid of its alliances... >.< This is obviously the easiest thing to get working (the buildpads probably the hardest). Ok....lets work together...If noone's noticed, check the "I have been convinced" thread...there its got my working Buildpads (well, working enough for my liking, you can build from them as well as capture).

  7. That's pretty cool. Really shows how one must "buy out" the galaxy That should definately be looked into, it can actually make the BM totally essential rather than a place to get your special abilities from...
  8. LUA. I've got the AI to build new units at most... still never dared to mess with how they attack, or much about GC Goals...(I'm a skirmish player anyhow, I've played too much online skirmish, I'm an addict lolz. GC too tedious (for me))
  9. lol yes exactly... exporting an *.obj made from someguy with blender isn't much different from exporting a warlords *.obj...so, you can pratically get anyone who does warlords conversions to do that for you... I would do the faction....I've worked *most* of it out. Just need to test the GC stuff. Sadly I can't model for shit >.< I suck at most art other than sketches. (which I suck at, but pretend to pass)

  12. How come I seem to be the only who's faction works? Still, I get the damn GC lose error. I don't know how I got it to work myself...It seems you all did the same thing. btw, you fix the starting units in Factions.XML?

  14. Well yea, thats why you move the mod folder into the Data Folder so Map editor reads those.
  15. Heroclashes were the most awesome thing in EaW And those missions were fun. Esp the Pirate ones (lol) where sometimes pirates attack you, or you get pirate units, but don';t you need to re-tailor the interventions to fit with the new galactic map?
  16. I'm intrigued to see how you have placed pirate units and have them show up. Unless of course, you didn't use the multiplayerstructuremarkers. I've never bee nable to get them to show anything other than Neutral Starbases...

  18. hahah I got a bug. The Zann Consortium has Rebel barracks everywhere! On every planet! And I can no longer auto-resolve...so I'm stuck with lagging out on Muunilinst!

  20. So it doesn't do much if your unit is huge but if its a fighter it may have an affect on preformance?

Factions.XML SpecialStructures.XML MultiplayerStructureMarkers.XML Marker.XML SpaceBuildablesSkirmish.XML GroundBuildablesSkirmish.XML GroundTurrets.XML SpecialStructures_Underworld.XML Starbases.XML Plus any files for the individual units..might have missed one or two generic files. If you add a new XML for the individual unit, GameObjectFiles.XML
  24. What! tHey took out hero clashes! Damn. I'd thought they'd keep at least Vader vs Obi...and maybe add Yoda vas Emp, Luke vs Vader, etc Looks REALLY bad to just have two guys with lightsabers do random swings at one another...*pukes* Time constraints...they suck.
  25. Probably...although you'd probably needto make something for the consortium...wait, they have enough mini-missions as-is
