worst ideas ever. higher pop cap means bigger army wins not better player. building units means rushing with a huge wave of units. rebel cap ships building units has to be the worst, not only do rebs have +5 cap for this reason but with this they'd have free far superior units.
the climate penalty should be VERY SEVERE look at ww2, germans and russians both had GREAT problems with winter, stopping tanks in theyre tracks (t2-b?) people freezing etc.
oh? is it so in ground too? in the demo if u had factories - say a barracks and u had 2 stormtroopers they died it automatically built new ones free of charge. if this has changed i'll be very happy!
im sure they'll release them officially EVENTUALLY - most games do usually a few months down otherwise it'll be rather hard to find a game on those maps since the heavy majority don't get CE.
for legendary i like the idea about specific planets - i suggest planets like hoth where the climate is VERY harsh and as such you would expect better troops there, for example in ww2 finland held back the russians (pop of 5 mil) by using ski troops as finland is generally really cold we were able to hold them off due to living in the cold climate all our lives.
i'd like to see a few things in the next few days (small mods to entertain while we wait) 1. all rebellion planets (at the very least) - should be VERY easy to do. 2. start the game a bit earlier techwise where venator, at-pt pod walkers, and vwings aren't useless.
i loathe using a firewall which is why i only use it at lans, but anti-virus should be enough to keep the insecurities of sp2 and windows in general in check...along with regular checks at windowsupdate.com oh and to use firefox for browsing!
they took the 20+ professions and mashed em together to 9 core ones jedi,bh,smuggler (who cant smuggle), spy, etc. boring even before nge it was a boring grindfest.
