  1. i find them too slow to group with ywings, and too multipurpose to group with corvette's so i group em with the nebula's..the corvette's are good against tartans too.
  2. naa, rebels use hero's as scouts, generally i use r2d2 for that, as for armies, i disagree! don't trust the tooltips too much, a nebula-b while great at taking out tartans is good also against vsd's and to a lesser degree isd's (as long as u end the engagement quickly!), corvette's are good against tartans, gunships i group with nebula's since they generally target the same targets, i keep the fighters in the back or go around the tartans, marauders i generally only use against stations or if the enemy happens to hbave too many capital ships close to each other. although it IS harder on rebel, but i find it more fun as there's a much greater variety in ships (and nebula's just look plain cool!) my general defense fleet (per planet) is 3 corvette's (replaced by 2 corvette's 1 gunship on newer worlds), 1 nebula (replaced by an assault frigate on newer worlds), 4 xwings, 4 ywings while my attack fleet is antilles, 2 corvette's, 1 gunship, 2 nebula's, 1 assault frigate, 4 xwings, 5 ywings.

  6. why not just heavily lower its recharge time rather than weaken it.

  8. what is your general defense on a planet aside from a space station? i use 3 ywings, 3 xwings, 3 corvette's and 1 nebulon (this is in the campaign) oh and i suggest adding the long sensor range, you won't get your guys there before the battle starts but soon afterwards they'll be in reinforcements!
  9. i dsiagree with your ion cannon change and maybe about your corvete -> fighter change, as shouldnt corvette's be the anti-fighter killers and ion cannon is a superweapon.

  11. - more realistic travel speeds - persistant damage oh and whoever suggested DS2...no. ds2 has no flaw as such the rebels couldnt destroy it.
  12. ahem, i wasn't saying it's possible but more along the lines that someone should - and no i haven't - two team is hectic enough for me i think a great idea would be to release these individual code fragments, publically in code form and then everyone could incorparate them into their mods - like you did with the retreat.
  13. is it possible to slow it down considerably..that way it doesnt take a second to zip from dantooine to hoth! it should take time and mean you mean planets open.
  14. yea, but think 4 of them take up 16 popcap. i find that a fair tradeoff.

    what are yours? mine is i got attacked at my lv 2 space station with nothing else, it produced a bunch of fighters and bombers - which were useless as they had 3 VSD's 1 acclamator, the bombers and fighters that go with it. i knew i didn't stand a chance so i hid in the asteroid field and did hit and runs, while trying to lure them into the asteroid fields so they'd kill themselves, took out the acclamator easily enough, the vsd's i tried to pull thru the field which worked somewhat and my bombers finished the first vsd off, then they died. i kept trying to same tactic with my xwings but far less attacking and more hiding on the otherside of the field, didn't worry bout the tie fighters are my xwings were more than capable of taking them down! after a while i finally won with my 2 xwings!
  17. yea, but itmight decide to put u in with 20 xwings only etc...and acclamators don't spawn fighters unless your playing a REALLY REALLY unbalanced mod

  20. its worth it, even for the sp, skirmish rocks and as soon as they get the MP bugs nailed down it'll be twice the fun!
  21. yea, look at blizzard they have a .net service BECAUSE they have a HUGE variety of VERY successful games (wc1,2,3,sc) you cant get that with 1 game out for about a week!
  22. ive found having many tartans is a bad thing, sa isd's take a huge cap, u can only have like 2-4 with 1 tartan and 2 broadsides
  23. yea...but then it wont work online, as everyone has to have the same folder etc.
  24. i was thinking there was to be a way around the xml folder system as that replaces files and as such mods wouldnt work online, as such there has to be either a directory system or a way to store them maybe .meg's but then i dont see any way to chose between mods, anyone have an idea?
  25. speaking of which surely there msut be some kind of mod/ folder where u can play mods online...
