  1. Here's the results of last week's voting: AOE. No: 2 to 5. Halo Trilogy. Yes: 5 to 2. Mass Effect. Yes: 7 to 0. BFME. No: 2 to 5. Sadly, two of the greatest RTS game series were shot down this week. But Halo did make it through and Mass Effect was voted in unanimously. Now, what to do with this. I think that there are not enough people with Halo, or enough interest in Halo to keep a subforum going. That's just me. Maybe we could have a FPS subforum that would include Halo, Battlefield games, Battlefront, etc. and that could be successful. Just an idea. Mass Effect raises an interesting question. It is made by Bioware, who also make the KOTOR games. We have voted yes on both of these, so should we make a Bioware subforum, an RPG subforum(adding more games of course), or just have seperate subforums for Mass Effect and KOTOR(dunno if there's enough interest still alive about the latter one). Meh, that's all I got. Oh wait! I gotta put new games up there! ;D Half Life Series Guild Wars Dawn of War Counter Strike games Have fun voting! (I will post links for the games soon) -Dorkthehunter
  2. I'm jealous. I wish I could draw. Good job! If you have more, feel free to post them. Maybe someone here will write a Fan-Fiction involving them....
  3. I see your point, but I was just throwing out there that since EAW is the main game we have now, it makes sense for that to be the image. I know that we support Petroglyph, like our name says, Petroglyph Fan Forums, but the problem is that there just isn't enough interest now in what Petroglyph has to offer. Hopefully that will all change with the new P02 exclusives. I think that's our main problem right now, lack of interest. Even a long time before EAW was supposed to come out, like P02 now, the forums were still doing well. But it just isn't the same now. I wish we could bring back that old fire.
  4. Then we'll have lots of games on there, or just P02? Also, we still support EAW primarily, so the image makes sense right now. Once we transition, then we should get a new one(which is soon).
  5. Daily... ;D Avatar: 2/10. Dunno what Dragonforce is. Sig: 5/10. Add more.
  6. We have the results of last week's voting, now what do we do with it: Company of Heroes got outvoted 4 to 7. Medieval Total War II was tied 6 to 6, so I figured we would just keep what we have on it, but not expand any more(dunno why we would need to) KOTOR games got voted in 7 to 3. Spore barely made it by, 6 to 5. We would probably just keep what we have on that as well. So CoH I guess will not have a sub-forum, but there could be threads about it in Master of Games. MTW II and Spore would probably stay how they are right now.(dunno if we should make a Total War forum with all the games each being a subforum...but don't think that's smart as the interest in the older ones is dying) The question is KOTOR. Do we make a forum for KOTOR in general, with I, II, and III(rumors)being the sub-forums? Keep up the voting, -Dorkthehunter
  7. I can't see anything....my brain hurts! (Monty Python's Flying Circus) Anywho...I'm extremely happy to see someone taking initiative on restructuring PFF. Fosh, if you need help, support, ideas, or possibly lunch feel free to PM me and I will do what I can. Note: The lunch thing probably won't work out, but I have some British contacts that may be able to do something. We'll see. Thanks! -Dorkthehunter
  8. That not-an-idiot would be me. ;D @Ben: Yeah...that was one of my concerns as well. Remember that just because a game gets voted "yes" or "no" here does not mean that it will have its own whole sub-forum(as of right now at least). I don't think we've quite decided on that in the Maw(I'll find out). I think that Mass Effect has garnered enough attention from forumgoers to at least deserve sub-forum like MTW2 and Spore have. @AT-AT: I know for a fact that quite a lot of people like BFME and it has a very large community, much larger than EAW, and that community is crumbling(look at Middle Earth Vault forums)so it would be wise for us to start supporting the game and get the people that are leaving those sites to come here because it is a better place to be. @Mikan: Half Life series....hmm...your wish is my command. It will probably come up for voting next week.
  9. Foshjedi2004....I know I've heard that name somewhere....sounds familiar.
  10. Yes, Mass Effect looks very promising... The game that I really want this site to cover is being shot down! > BFME is getting killed, 1 to 5(the one "yes" vote being mine). Why?
  11. 4 new games this week to vote on! AOE, Halo, Mass Effect, and BFME II.
  12. Here are the results for last week: Company of Heroes: No. 4 to 7. Medieval Total War II: Tie. 6 to 6. Tie goes to the runner, so yes unless there are any huge arguments against it. KOTOR games: Yes. 7 to 3. Spore: Yes. 6 to 5. The games for this week are: AOE(all of them including any upcoming ones) Halo Trilogy Mass Effect BFME(all of them) The same rules apply on these games in terms of voting as did the previous week. Have fun!(these games are well known enough that I won't put up links about them unless someone wants them, in which case I most certainly will. Don't hesitate to ask) -Dorkthehunter
  13. Whoever made that poll was a feakin' genius... @SWM: Well...MTW2 might make it in, but CoH is being killed, so post in the thread that Tofu posted a link to, to argue your case for CoH or forever hold your piece.(well...not forever, I guess the poll results aren't set in stone)
  14. Okay, I'm gonna post different quotes from Spartan on the subject and hope that clears up any future questions. I'm not an expert in this issue, Fosh, Cain, and GS know more about it than I do.
  15. Well...as far as I know, it is. So, your wish is my command. @Bex: It's nice to see you! You're most welcome. @Mikan: Thanks for bringing him back. Good work! Now go do the same with others. Do what must be done!(couldn't resist)
  16. Okay...it's more than halfway through the week and here are the results as of now: Company of Heroes: No. 5 votes to 2. Medieval Total War II: Tie. 4 to 4. KOTOR: Yes. 5 votes to 1. Spore: Yes. 4 votes to 3. There have only been 9 voters, so unless we want this to become the Supreme Court(they have 9 justices who decide everything)I suggest that more people start voting. Also: If you are not happy with the results, post here why you think a game should or should not get in. Speak now or forever hold your peace. People can change their votes. And should if someone puts out a dynamite argument that convinces you to change your vote. Peace, -Dorkthehunter
  17. Vote now! http://pff.swrebellion.com/index.php?topic=3975.0 Please follow the voting rules and it would be nice if you posted why you voted how you did. It's your forums! Put your two cents into it.
  18. Don't they know where their loyalties should lie? :
  19. Well...EAW should come with 2 disks. The first one, creatively named Disk 1 is the "Play Disk." The second one, is named Disk 2 and is just used during installation. You need both the install the game. Hope this helps, -Dorkthehunter
  20. Sorry this is so late. Welcome to the forums darth_sith lord! I hope you enjoy your stay! You need to win the space battle with a space fleet, and then you send a ground fleet to one of the three available spots over the planet. From there you send that fleet onto the planet by putting its' icon onto the slot on the planet. Make sure that your initial space fleet does not include your ground forces, because your ground forces will just be in transports and can be easily blown away. Only after winning the space battle do you move the ground forces to the spce above the planet, and from there onto the planet itself. If you are the Rebels, you can select a ground force of no more than 4 units, and send them as a "Raid" straight to the planet, bypassing the space battle. The enemy space fleet will still be over the planet, but if you win the ground battle, you will have the land of the planet, and they will have the space. Take the 4 units, and move them over to the enemy planet, but do not put them on one of the space slots! There will be another slot that will appear that should be gold colored that says "Raid". Put them there and let the ground battle commense. Hope this helps, -Dorkthehunter
  21. Mikan, it's a great idea. Post more!
  22. Pretty good. If I knew about Half Life 2, then I guess I would appreciate it more....but it's still a good read. Post more stories!
  23. Halo-Combat Evolved Soundtrack ;D
  24. Well the reason you can't capture the Moff is because you don't have the Interdictor. You have to have that in order to defeat him. You should be able to build Interdictors at any Level 4 space station. You have a few of those, so you should make one or two to accompany your fleet to defeat the Moff. As for the fact that you can't build a research facility, is it because you don't have room or it just won't let you make one. Also check all your planets for one. Coruscant should have one, I'm pretty sure. I've only done the Imperial campaign once though. I'm pretty sure that if you don't have an Interdictor, Moff Kalast hypers out and goes to a different planet. You have to use the Interdictor's ability to not allow anyone to go into hyperspace and then defeat Kalast and the enemy fleet. Then you beat the mission and you can move on. Hope this helps, -Dorkthehunter Edit: This is a link on how to Research with the Empire. http://pff.swrebellion.com/index.php?topic=3055.0
  25. Since when have I been a professional? Ever since I've been born. : I'm a pretty agreeably guy...come on! Why would you always disagree with me? AT: Avatar: 9/10 (Chiss rock) Sig: 10/10 (nice visuals and I like the LOTR quote)
