  1. Which one of the X-Wing games is your favorite? Mine would most certainly have to be X-Wing Alliance. That is the greatest joystick game ever created. And the campaign rocks.
  2. I think you can download it via XBox Live, but I'm not sure. The only sad part about me having the PC version is now that my graphics card is almost dead and my CD drive completely stopped working, I can't play it(or anything else for that matter) :'(
  3. Was Beowulf/Cheesinator banned?
  4. PC because it has better graphics(depending on your graphics card)and has Yavin Space Station. That is the best place to get things. When it gets attacked by Trandoshen Slavers, you get 20 thermal detonaters if you kill them all. And you can get the two best lightsaber crystals ever there only.
  5. Who would do a dumb thing like that? Move out of the way? That's unheard of... : Just throw it really fast and hard so the splinters will kill them if the table doesn't. ;D
  6. Exactly my point. They are turning Jacen Solo into something he's not. I don't like that.
  7. Yeah...I was gonna nominate them, but I know that they still hang around. But there is one person that I forgot to mention earlier that deserves it: Zerogravity.
  8. I think we should start one and honor first those that have left us. After we do those people, we should do the current members. Here's what I was thinking: 1. In order to be inducted one must: Be nominated. (duh) That's the easiest step. 2. Then we need to come up with a list of achievements that the person accomplished while at the forums. 3. Then a group of people(either us in the Maw or the entire forums)will vote on if they have done enough to deserve being enshrined into the Hall of Fame. 4. If the person is not at the forums anymore, we should try to e-mail or make contact with them to see if they would come back for one post, like an acceptance speech. Or they could e-mail one of the members their "speech" and they could post it. Either way would be fine. My nominations are: Swiftdraw, Darkmark, and Stellar Magic.
  9. Read the third one. That's when it went downhill for me. I disagree with you on the whole Jacen turning to the darkside thing. Now, by reading the New Jedi Order books, you can see that Jacen is very strong in the light side of the Force, especially in thie last book. He lights up with the Force and obliterates Omini(the evil Force weilding Yuuzhan Vong who caused the whole mess)and looks like he's matured five years. And then he turns to the dark side? It doesn't make sense to me. Now, I know Anakin Skywalker was strong in the light side before he turned as well. But his was to save Padme, and Jacen really doesn't have a reason. That's what I don't like about it.
  10. The necropost! AHHH!!!!! nm Anywho....Cheese, did you remember GenVader(and other's)guess about Cheeseinator being on PFF? They were right. The grandpa simpson dude was the avatar for Beowulf(you). Pretty good guess, eh?(now i sound Canadian-no offense Ghostly) @Cheese: Good luck with that. So why did you open up this old topic again? : BTW....your post count is at 666. *cue evil music*
  11. Note: This is only Part 1. There is much more to come in the future. Many more tips will be covered. But if you think of any that you would like to share, go for it.
  12. Yes, both games and any downloaded maps included. Map: Sidewinder.(Original game) Like: Had so many great times on this map. 8 vs 4 CTF for 4 hours straight! Good times... Weapons: Assault Rifle/Sniper Mode: 2 Flag CTF
  13. I'll edit this post and add more later, but for now I will just briefly start out with some tips to make your writing better: 1. Use capital letters. when john was writing his book in alabama he didn't use capital letters and he was shunned by the publishers. Don't let this happen to you! Learn from John's mistakes. Capital letters help a story flow. Starting a sentence with a capital letter makes the reader focus on what the words are and what the author is trying to say rather than wondering why the heck the first word isn't capitalized. Editing one's work is crucial. 2. Once you've written something, read it out loud to yourself. This goes a long way in the editing process. You can catch many simple mistakes and errors in grammer, punctuation, and word choice just by reading it aloud. And yes, read it out loud. When you just read it to yourself, your brain will sometimes add in missing letters and words, correct spellings, and all sorts of things. When speaking it, you will not do this. 3. Start with an outline. Know what you want to write. You need to link the story together and have it be a single idea instead of a bunch of fragmented paragraphs that somehow fit together. Lead into the next event and if you get good, try to foreshadow events that will happen in the future. If a character plays a role later in the story, maybe introducing the audience to them now is and developing their character until you get to that crucial moment is more effective than talking about them right before the event. Readers are more apt to get drawn into the story when they connect with the characters and enter into your brain, into the world that you have fabricated through your writing. 4. Indenting and seperating paragraphs is a great thing! This is very simple and makes it a whole lot easier to look at and read. When something is spaced out, I will be more apt to read the whole thing and not skim it over because there are so many words so close to each other. 5. Be open to ideas. When you have a closed mind is when you are doomed to fail. You need to be open to criticism or advise from other people. You don't always have to agree with them, but sometimes other people actually do have good ideas. Imagine that! Some critics are harsh, but that's life. But even the harsh ones many times have very good advise, just worded in more of an attacking way. Hope you take something away from this. More later! -Dorkthehunter
  14. I'm really glad that you are posting in the fan fic forum. I really need to start posting my own work here. Since I'm on break, maybe I will. First off, it's a good story. Sometimes it is nice to say who is speaking after the diolague is spoken. I think that would help improve it a little more. But don't do it too much, which will make the story more choppy. I can possibly do an in-depth review of the different parts going paragraph by paragraph if you want me to.
  15. What's your favorite map? Can be from any game or download. Just say: 1.What it is 2.Why you like it 3. What weapons you generally use on the map 4.What game type you usually play on it(slayer, capture the flag, etc)
  16. First one. It's a classic, man. The storyline is phenominal and overall it is probably in the top few games I have ever played.
  17. Concept Art, while not binding, is a general hint at to what could be included in the game. It's just made to show off the amazing detail(right...)and classiness of their game. I think the whole Force pushing things through walls is pretty cool. Anything new and revolutionary(in games)is a plus in my book most of the time.
  18. Which one is your favorite and why? Mine would be Red Alert 2 because I played that one the most and am amazing at it.
  19. I really like Tiberian Sun. Why? One word: Disruptors!!! Those things are so much fun. Oh yeah, and also the Devil's Tongue Flame Tank that can go underground and the Ghoststalkers and the Mammoth MKII and most of the cool vehicles. The superpowers are pretty cool as well. All in all, I enjoy the game very much. Any objections? (fear for your life...hahahahaha....ahem! Um....sorry there. I don't know what go into me. Must have been that potion I drank...)
  20. Welcome to the forums Hyprodimus Prime! I hope you enjoy your stay. I agree. A better tactician will lose to an inferior one if the latter is Zann's faction in most cases. That should not happen. EA can balance 6 factions in BFME II and Petro can't even balance 3. That's sad!
  21. What do you all think about the SW Legacy of the Force books? I for one think they are good, except I really don't like what they are doing to Jacen. I'll expand more on this later, after others have put in their two cents. But the involvement of Boba Fett is pretty sweet, I must say.
  22. @Cheese: You have a point about the debate part, dunno about the flames. We need to have some lively arguments to start things back up. Next topic: Iraq. Yeah...I'm gonna start some more topics as well...
  23. I knew it.... *does the moonwalk and owns everyone else doing the dance off* Huzzah!
  24. Walk around the Spartans to either side and get the cake. Or Step 1: Pull out two-handed broad sword. Step 2: Challenge their biggest guy to a duel. Step 3: Win the duel. Step 4: Everyone else runs away and I get the cake. Or Step 1: Call my buddy Batman. Step 2: Me and Batman kill all the Spartans and then I tell Bruce to get his own cake(he's a millionare)and eat it all. Or Step 1: Shoot cows at them with a catapult. Step 2: Grab the cake when they are distracted. Or Step 1: Get the killer rabbit to eat them all and then get cake. Or Step 1: Lobbeth the holy hand grenade at them and get the cake.
