Yea thats the feel I kind of get from this, that they are just keeping stuff for an expansion. Kind of like the Balance of Power expansion for X-wing vs. Tie fighter, where in the expansion you got the B-wing and SSD. I would be ok with the expansion as long as they add lots of new planets and heros as well. Problem is, since the game is easily moddable, they will need to do it better than the modders, or fewer people will buy it. -

That would mean then we should be able to research the SSD, since it was very close to the games timeline. -
Its not that they are keeping out units, it is that instead of using these units not in, they are making up units (Broadside). I would rather see Star Wars ships then made up ones.

B-wing and Tie interceptor probably aren't in now, since they are definitetly post ANH. -

Yea it is kind of dissapointing if they only take it to ep4 esspecially since they would only need to add a handful of ships to take it to ep 6 (and a couple of them are fan favorites.)

Wait a second, this comment makes no sense: Mon cal crusiers and A-wings were not produced till sometime after ep 4.

Yea that is what I am thinking, Han and Chewie could control an At-ST or something.

A member released information that he emailed petroglyph and they said the SSD was in, supposedly this was only suppose to be known by the mods. So they did some damage control and said it was only a "rumor". So the same member today said there is a "rumor" that you can create multiple SSDs, and that seemed to really anger the Mods.

Yea this kind of stuff usually isn't good if you want to have a growing community... ...but it sure is fun to watch

if I asked LEC a question I would be more inclined to ask if the Venator is in rather than the SSD, because the SSD is almost guaranteed in, rumor or not. -
Yea I agree, I wouldn't think they would list it as one of their top features, or even a medium features. It is a nice feature to have, but nothing that I think would make u decide between buying it and not buying it. Even when it was new I don't think it was a defining feature that made you want to buy a game.

Yea I agree, they shouldn't lock threads unless it involves flaming or inappropriate subjects. If a discussion has stopped it will sink to the bottom, we shouldn't be forced to end it. Who knows, maybe new info will arise and this discussion will start back up. -
Look at KOTOR, their technology isn't to far regressed from the movies. 4,000 years. Some galaxy hit a technology plateau....

I like the new ships. Nothing against the Vic or Z-95 , but the Venator and ARC do look better. And I do like the that there are more ships added to the star wars universe. and Timothy Zahn didn't invent coruscant, Lucas did. Was in his original draft of star wars, but he never gave an official name, just "Imperial Center". Zahn just gave it the name Coruscant and it stuck.

Lucasarts needs to realize that there is still a big market for flight sims and people would go nuts over a well developed star wars flight sim (a new one long the lines of the x-wing and tie fighter ones, not like jedi starfighter.)

A very broad way I am looking at it would be to split it up into conquerors vs defenders. If you look at it that way, the Hapans and Chiss would be on the defenders side while the Vong, Ssi, and mandalorions would be on the conquerors side. but when you look at it that way black sun still doesn't fit anywhere.
