Sorry Naja but I have to say this. How could the Emperor truly have wanted a "dark side" theocracy. The emperor would never have done this because if he had trouble with one disciple and a potential one (Vader and Luke), how could he hope to succeed with many? Dark Empire is very very unrealistic. What is it Yoda said in Episode 1? There are only two sith at once, the master and the apprentice. Surely he would know that because he has Dooku killed so he can recruit Vader to be his apprentice. *get's off soapbox

A lot of you here probably have heard of X-Fire. It is a gaming IM program that allows you to also keep track of how long you play your games (note that hours are only recorded while x-fire is running and some games are not supported by x-fire.) 2.5 days left until I can play DoD: Source. As far as a PFF clan, like I said in another post, I am already in 2 clans and do not wish to join anymore. Those two clans are composed of friends of mine also, so I actually know them. No offense of course to you guys/girls on this forum that are like friends to me in your own way, but I actually have met, talked, and lan-partied with members of the two clans I am currently in. (Sorry for the long-winded speech/post).

Um I'm not sure really. It depends on where I start (as rebels). Probably I will conquer a close system first to gain momentum.

Ok. Here's the "official" wishlist for games I'm going to buy this year. Blue means that I've already bought it. Without further ado, my list of games: (also note that I'll be periodically updating it)

My thoughts exactly. Destroyed ships seemed to drift below the 2d plane of play, so I'm not sure if they'd have any real impact on play at all. Still, I'm guessing it would be some sort of restriction of movement for ships... basically to stop them from crashing into it. Hard to say really. I think from what we have seen, they will drift to the -1 plane but there is no doubt that it will be alot cooler for the cap ships of a destroyed fleet to be sitting there than to just poof. Anyone know whether or not the debris will be present after the battle? It would be cool to engage the enemy over a system a second time with the hulks of his last encounter with you there to remind him why he should be running. Lol yeah. Say you are on your last planet and a huge fleet comes in and you destroy it all. Then the player will come in with more and more ships creating a graveyard of ships around the planet until you are finally defeated. Would be cool to post screens of it when we finally get the demo or the game.

I also have faith that they will improve the explosions. I think I heard somewhere that each ship has it's own cool death animation, so maybe the others just haven't been finished yet or something.

As far as tactics I don't know what you can use debris for. Maybe they'll just be obstacles, that if you run into them, they will do damage to your ship(s). Maybe you'll be able to hide fighters or small capital ships in the debris from wrecked star destroyers of something for a surprise flank move or something.

Bail hasn't died yet as this is a few years before episode 4, however I concur that it would be Leia's ship to run around in.

I haven't tried it yet. The only thing I didn't like about the original blitzkrieg was the lack of making customized skirmishes. I'm downloading it now. Hope that it's good.

True it's close, but instead having to carve out your own empire and take over the empire. Plus they could have it so you can join the rebel alliance too. It's more like EaW and going a few layers deeper that's all.

Don't know how well it'd be received, but wouldn't it be fun to have a Star Wars game similar to Rome Total War? Each 'territory' would be a planet and the senate faction would be the Empire. You start out as an Imperial moff and have control of a few planets. You expand your influence while fighting off rebels and claiming the galaxy. Like in RTW you try to beat the Empire and become the new Emperor and ruler of the galaxy.

I like the game too. My brother and I still play online together some times. Also I preordered BF 2 already for both my brother (his bday present) and I so we can play together again.

How much is it going to cost? I couldn't find out by skimming. Edit: Ahhh it's free. yay!

Naw Fett wasn't bad. He was a mercenary who worked for you if you had enough money. He worked for the empire because they paid him to hunt Han Solo, not because he wanted to (although not necessarily true because there already was another bounty on Solo's head put by Jabba). Either way it all comes down to money.

Only 9 more members left. Since 20 alone have joined since September 1st hopefully we will get number 250 by the end of the month.

I never played the original, but now I have preloaded this. Looks like a decent game and I got it off of steam for about 18 dollars (US). A lot of my friends are getting it so I figured why not get it and play with them. Anyone else going to get this or thinking about getting it?
