I'm from Kansas and I am going to be a freshman at Kansas State, majoring in computer science. I like Star Wars a lot and think this kind of game is a long time in coming (so what's another 6 months? eternity lol). Other than that I play trombone and hopefully will get to march in the university band. Oh yeah and I'm 19.

Yep. The lightsaber from the sky also known as the particle uplink cannon. Well I'm hopefully getting my copy of generals back from a friend soon, so I can reinstall it (just made a new pc a month or two ago) and get the mod.

Yeah I think you need the expansion pack, but Zero Hour is only $10 (US).

What Star Wars mod? Is there really one?

I was thinking of getting this game, if only for the Star Wars mod. I haven't played the demo (still need to install it), but provided I like it, is it worth getting? Also do you think it will be reasonably helpful for EAW (I know that they will be different because HW2 is 3D and EAW has 2D plane combat)?

I enjoyed the original BFME (still play it a ton). Also am looking forward to this one. My main disappointment with the original was EA removing the ability to create your own heroes. This appears to be slated to be included in BFME 2 so I'm happy, plus you get to fight with dwarves.

This is obviously the expansion for BF2 coming out this fall. It looks really cool, but it seems to be CS like if I am not mistaken. CT units versus T like units. Oh well. I'm not complaining, just sharing an observation. Like I said it looks good and I'll be getting it for certain.

So in Counter-Strike Source the other day I was playing in a round. This guy comes up behind me to knife me. Now I am sitting there relaxed because the round is almost over. I hear the knife clink and am like huh? Then I spin the fastest 180 ever and this CT fills my vision. Needless to say I held down the mouse button (and you can't miss at that range). He was blown up the hill and through the door (on de_dust2). I emptied the whole clip. Man that was funny. -

We're up to 98 now. One small push and we're over the 100 mark (don't know if or why that would be important, but may as well say it). -
Actually since the opening video or something shows the Rebels stealing plans for the X-Wing, they should be able to produce them soon enough, but you are right, it will be mostly Y-Wings and Z-95s (if they are in game) at the start.

I don't see why this game is bashed by many people. I have played it, and although it isn't the greatest, I liked it a lot. Even now I'll go back and play it for a while.

Your references are to ground use of explosives. What about cluster traps on rebel capital ships? If fighters get too close they explode and cause damage to the fighters. I read about them being used on Mon Cal cruisers.
