  1. LOL! Then please refrain from reading most of my posts.
  2. Still kinda odd if you can recover him/her after he/she was on a planet that the Death Star blew up.
  3. Eduardo curses? Where?
  4. Trailer parks = tornado magnets. I'd never live in a trailer as long as I live in the mid-west... Actualy, I'd never live in one if I can at all avoid it.
  5. I never said it was obsolete, I'm just saying it isn't what you would consider advance anymore. I think the best comparison is to the B-52. Is that an advance bomber? I think not. Is it still good at what it does? Damn straight it is.
  6. I wondering when this was going to get moved....
  7. Mach 2 doesn't do anything against a Mach 4 missile. As I said, the Arrow would be a good plane to this day, but it could not take on the new generation of aircraft. A F-22, Eurofighter or the new Sukhio or MiG designs would eat that thing alive, becuase they could detect it before it could detect them and if it tried to dash away they could keep pace. Another problem with the mach 2 number is that it uses afterburners to do that, and that sucks up a lot of fuel. So the new generation of fighters, like with the F-22's sonic cruise capability, can go faster for longer durations of time. Against a Mirage, F-15, F-16 or the older Su's and MiG it could hold it's own, but with the new genration it just can't cut it.
  8. Mi-24 is probably the scariest heli you can run into, I love that thing. Its probably my favorite helicopter. A few problems with it though. A short combat range, not very agile, and the tail section is usually made up of wood. Some versions have updated composite tails, but that is costly and the Russian army hasn't updated a lot of Hind Squadrons. So if you run into an un-friendly one, shoot out it's tail since small arms fire can heavily damage it or destroy it. Edit: when I mean tail, I mean the area where the rotor is. The Avro Arrow is still a dated design that would be out performed by modern day fighters. It has good range, excellent speed and a good payload, but it's radar cross section is very large and isn't very agile at all by today's standards. It was waaaaay ahead of its time and is a good design, but by todays standards it is not what is considered to be "advanced." It would of been lke the B-52, it probably would have been one of those planes that would be around for many decades and still be useful.
  9. And I say a virus should hit a lot of those people's computers so they can't go online again... People give me a headache sometimes.
  10. The post you just put.... And I'm sure at some point your your life you have done so on some forum, if not this one. Now.... What about my spaceship eating, asteriod residing worm?
  11. Yeah and? This game isn't what you Star War geeks would call accurate to canon either. There are one or two things people have been complaning about in that regard.
  12. Like you never brought a topic off Jmaster WTF is a Bith and WTH should it be in game? I'm wondering if one of those giant space worms in ESB will be in and eat your space fighter. Sorta like the scarllac thing on Tatooine.
  13. Not to mention Lucas said he wasn't intrested in doing anymore Star Wars movies. This isn't to say more won't be out, but the most he may do would be consulting work.
  14. Why do I've the feeling Petro made Home One the equivilant, maybe even better than, an ISD? It was a command center and spacecraft carrier.
  15. Less resource gathering I have to piss around with the better. Thats why I like DoW, you don't have to keep track of peon units, which has always been my traditional weak point. In the old C&C series, Homeworld, the Crafts and Empire builders, if you want to put the hurt on somebody early you hit their resource collectors . I hate having to tie up units to defend my resource collectors when they should be up fighting on the front or defending my base. Also, directly making mining related to money making in a war setting never made sense to me.
  16. Oh no.... I fear the day when the movies get to Ep.VII and up.
  17. "Paper is ok, nerf rock!" - Scissors
  18. It isn't really advance anymore, it'd be very standard and even a bit dated if was upgraded with modern avionics. It had a lot of first, I'll give it that, but the bloody thing was developed in the late '50's for crying out loud. But knowing that Canada doesn't phase out stuff as rapidly as the US does, I think it wouldn't of been a bad investment. Then again, when was the last time Canada had a use for it's fighters? Alright my Top5 Warning: Pics may be a bit big. 1) Martin B-26 Maurader: Best. Medium. Bomber. EVAH!!!! http://sunsite.tus.ac.jp/multimed/pics/vehicles/aircraft/B26-Marauder.JPG 2) Avro Vulcan: This thing is just plain sexy. I saw one at a airshow when I was young and loved it. I don't think any are flying anymore, which is a pity. http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafwaddington/images/museum/vulcan/xm657.jpg 3) Vought A-7 Corsair II: Not pretty, but extremely effective light bomber. That why I love it. http://www.tlc-brotherhood.org/a7.jpg 4) Supermarine Spitfire: Early variants. The later marks were a bit big and heavy. http://www.luchtoorlog.be/Images/spit_ii/a.jpg 5) Hawker Tempest: I sat in one of these and got to fire it up, after that I fell in love with the thing. http://www.hawkertempest.se/photos/permann-1.jpg
  19. And I think you're all nuts.... Maybe they'll re-work the scout so it is like the TIE Interceptor or they'll nerf the A-wing.
  20. What about that missle cruiser for the Imperials? I think that would be a good anti-fighter defense and be comparble to the gunship.
  21. Those things were so great!!! They could go over cliffs and anything outside a raptor couldn't touch them while they were moving. Excellent for resource raids and softening up enemy troops, and if you put the GLA's hero unit on one. But I don't think the scout bikes will be as custmizable.
  22. So its a expanded version of Republic Commando with some Jedi Knight mxed it. Could be good if executed right. Oh, and I love how people keep trying to make things "realistic" in a completely fantasy setting. Come on, the lasers aren't even near realistic and there are a few more things too, such as sound in space and complete lack on Newtonian physics. You couldn't make those "realistic" with out causing a small war. Instead of trying to sell everything as "realistic" maybe you should just try to concentrate on making the gameplay fun and engaging.
  23. I thought scouts were made for, I dunno... Scouting? Be like the ranger back in C&C Red Alert or the Pathfinder and Humvee in Generals, they have a great LOS and are generally good at harassing infantry. But if anything heavy catches them, they're dead.
  24. DoW I've yet to play online, so I'm going with that.
  25. Yeah... I'm not getting it.
