  1. Because Geogre Lucas, or whoever decided on ship design and physics is a friggin' moron....
  2. Linux has games?
  3. Yeah, but why would you need air intacts for a engine that doesn't require it? If anything it would hurt areodynamics in a atmosphere more than it would help it.
  4. Why does the B-wing have an air scoop when it's a spacecraft?
  5. Weather is a detail!?!?! WTF!!! Major battles have been delayed becuase of un-favorable weather, kings have been overthrown due to changes in climate, THE FRIGGIN' R/C AIRSHOW I WAS GOING TO FLY AT WAS CANCELED DUE TO HIGH WINDS!!!! Weather isn't important my arse... I think is some situation weather would be more important than heros. Same here....
  6. *And a giant swamp worm shoots up and eats Dakmark. Unfotantly, one of the discontent McDonalds employees put window cleaner and took a leak on Fosh's fries which ended up killing him (based on a true event.) Meanwhile, swoft creates his own pocket diminsion with all his needs and wants and seals himself off from all the multiverse. Unfortantly, he didn't quite get the diminsion stable enough and collapsed on him in a big crunch. *
  7. I don't think one has been officially announced but they keep hinting at one. At the official BMFE2 announcement, there was a pretty strong hint that one was starting to get underway.
  8. That was explained on the thread I believe also. But TSKNF has recommended software listed.
  9. You asked a question very similar to this before, look back to that thread. http://swempireatwar.10.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=736 I explains all!
  10. You won't be able to impliment it becuase its not in the core part of the game(ie in the exe) Sorry. Not nessicarly. UT2k4 had a mutator called UT2004RPG that has an experience system they coded from scratch. So I'm guessing you can create a experience system for EaW, but it'll just be a pain to do so because the coding will have to be all original.
  11. Actually the F-35 is going to replace the harrier and F-16. It's going to be a general purpose fighter, so it'll have both air combat and ground support as it's mission. the F-22 is going to be the United State's main interceptor, replacing the F-15 and F-16. The Eurofighter is hardly out of date, it's merely not on the bleeding edge of technology anymore. Quite honestly, I'm not fimilar enough with the Rafael to comment on it Blah...
  12. Some Hutt had a death star type thing, but it was more like a light saber in shape... Oh, and it short-circuited when it tried to fire, and was destroyed by the New Republic shortly afterwards. Also there was the Galaxy Gun, unless that has been listed under another name already.
  13. Please don't get me started on the U.N. That byzantine bueacracy can hardly manage it's own affairs lets alone the world's. Only thing that the UN is useful for is as a quick line of communication between countries. Even without Bush and Blair there would still be war. Theres been war before them and there will be war after them. All that changes are the players and technology involved. Edit: Also aid programs that don't require the presence of UN security forces also do quite well, I'll give it that much also.
  14. Bah! Who needs official names! Fear for your virtual lives if you see a ISD named Blood Wake leading a fleet of Bob's, Karl's, Joe's, Joe-Bobs and Cletis's. Fear because you will know it's me commanding the fleet!!!
  15. Well, I kinda have to accept my situation... I live in the middle of nowhere and its a choice between 56k or satillite, AKA: non-gaming connections. I still like jumping online every once in awhile to frag a newbie or ten. Though I swear llama's (aka:lamers) are getting more numerous... I ran into 4 today when I jumped on BF2. TKing flamming SOB's...
  16. They got an emulator for everything baby, just gotta know where to look. Dunna worry about it! I would run linux but you need a bit more RAM than usual to run the emulator and keep the game at the same frame rate as you would have on Windows. Though I've two gigs, so that isn't an excuse... Ok, I'm lazy and am content with XP, how'z that?
  17. You friggin' pimp Juggy.... I think everyone knows you'll have everything by now.
  18. Or a different, clueless, flaming n00b that has crap for a connection and a PC that can hardly handle the game? The person who drops from a game the moment he/she starts losing, but constantly complains about lag before and blaming that on his/her failures? I could go on...
  19. Ah, but no one really cares about that game. Seriously, that game was on par with a good and very detailed mod, so I think there wasn't much to be added. Honestly I didn't care for the game and therefore never tried to follow any mod scene it may or may not have created. Google search "Battlefront mods" and you may find something.
  20. Star Dreadnought, I find that is a much better term than super star destroyer. I also find it intresting that in the Star Wars universe, destroyers tend to be bigger than cruisers which seems odd to me. I think the ISD threw the whole thing off. Who was it that built the rebel carrier that appeared in Truce at Bukra? It was the ship that the Carrack class cruiser blew up.
  21. Why wouldn't single player count? I play a heck of a lot more single player than I do multi-player due to the fact I've to drive 15 minutes to get to a location the has an acceptable connection. Single palyer modding is very important to me to keep game entertaining longer. Play UT2k4, they've quite a few mod servers for things like Jailbreak and Gemfeeder. Also Starcraft and Warcraft have possibly more mod games going than regular games. The Battlefield series hasn't really been mod friendly for online play, Desert Combat was a major exception to this, but from what I understand EA is a bit of an ass when it comes to mod community support. Another problem I find with mods is that they're made by fans. Somethings are incomplete, have various exploits, aren't balanced properly, and/or simply don't fit with the gameplay, so it doesn't bring the best multiplayer experience. Slaughtering helpless bots however is a different matter.
  22. +2 I've a shirne of Asimov books myself. He did everything from sci-fi to friggin' school science books.
  23. Called my grandpaps the other day. He was a Navy Seabee in the Pacific during WWII and his dad was a marine sarge also serving in the Pacific at the same time. One of the greastest heirlooms on my dad's side is my great-grandpap's Colt .45 automatic service pistol, which is in mint condition still. Considering the use it has seen, I'm suprised. I'm also fairly certain that Canada was supporting the Brits in WWI. There were quite a few Canadian aces in WWI, I know that much. Edit: And the US was in WWI, admittedly at the tail end, but we were still in!
  24. As long as there are humans on this planet, there will be conflict. Nothing is going to change that.
  25. Jerk!!! Thats what I called my ships, except I spell Carl with a "k". So it's Bob, Karl, and Joe.
