The Empire would have never gone for the X-wing. They were more focused on capital ship and short range, cheap fighters to support the cap ships. They only started producing shielded and hyperspace capable fighters in quantity after it was far to late and they couldn't afford more cap ships.

But against a capital ship, the physical damage would be hardly noticable. Sort of like shooting a tank with a 5.56 NATO, it terms of physical damage. I agree that the ion cannons can really frisk up electronics and biological targets though.

I seriously doubt the Empire will be able to use the X-wing in game. The X-wing is the signature rebel spacecraft anything else would just be wrong in many ways.

Oh I've been reading a lot more lately... About accounting, databases and macroeconomics. Darn college, trying to make me all smart and stuff. I've little time to read anything outside of college text anymore, and I'm not cutting into my precious amount of time I've left to game for official fan fics that no one agrees on!

I'm going see if I can get a special avatar just for you. It'll be your avatar, but the AT-ATs are purple with gold trimming and have a pimp hat on top of the head. I don't need to see a uber-race like the Vong or even the Ssi-ruunk dudes. It won't add anything to the game itself other than the annoyance of having to defend your flanks from a third party race. Rebels vs. Empire will be all I need.
