  1. Riiiiiight I'm sticking with my previous comment.
  2. Well if you could get a hold of their IPs I could make a few suggestions
  3. Oh yer special all right... In that short bus sort 'o way...
  4. I meant to generalize the people that consider those two games "the best" and play nothing else.
  5. Are all the jedi type heros always going to have their light-sabers activated? I mean come on.... They could trip and poke an eye out.
  6. No thanks, I enjoy what little sanity I've left. I avoid that place like the plague.
  7. Screens show that happening is Supreme Commander... Looks so cool. Only problem is that you may under up losing a lot of your infantry support if you make an error in coordination.
  8. Don't try to take on mainstream games like HALO or CS, you'll lose. People who play them and think they're the best have played nothing else and don't want to. They play it because everyone else they know is, therefore it is cool, and everything else must suck because it doesn't have the amount of people playing as their game does. These people are sheep, they find saftey in numbers so reason and logic have no effect on these people. What ends up happening is you are drowned out by the multitude of voices shouting that you are a n00b and must be gay because you don't run with the flock. I could go into detail on what to avoid and their various response to things, but it is too mind numbing. Best thing to do is calmly nod your head, smile, and go to your happy place untill they shut up or you can find a viable distraction/excuse to leave the one way conversation.
  9. Who or what is this cheese you speak of? I've seen nothing of it. Sure I've seen plenty of cheesy posts but no cheese...
  10. Fosh rolls a 1, critical failure *Unfortantly, Fosh's ship reactors were cheaply made and couldn't handle the strain of a hyperspace jump. Systems for light years around see something very similar to a supernova, but it is in fact Fosh's fleet's reactor cores going critical and breaching the containment fields.*
  11. Then you got to figure in that you used one incredibly powerful shot to blow up 1 ship. Congratulations, now be a good boy, sit for awhile and wait the cool down and re-charge to complete. Using the Death Star's main laser on capital ships is incredibly in-efficient, exspecially if we're talking about the Mk.I which had a far longer re-charge cycle than the Mk.II. Any variant of the Death Star primary purpose (except for the proto-type, which was a proof of concept thing) was to blow up planets and other similary very large objects, I do believe this will be reflected in game.
  12. I'm more worried about interactions between large units, like AT-ATs and that reb tank, and other units and terrain. In games like WH40k: DoW smaller units would brake formation to get out of the way of larger units, only to get stuck on a piece of terrian. Even then the smaller unit doesn't get out of the way completely and the large and small unit just sits there unit you manually move them around or they get shot/blown up.
  13. WTF... So its modding in a game that exists and on a earlier variant? I must ask... Why?
  14. No, but I think a change in tatics and strategy would have. I think the Empire went more for slow, brutal, and overwhelming power of heavy ground units over the quick troop insertion with heavy air support seeminly favored by the Old Republic in the movies.
  15. I never heard of Rebellion untill I joined this forum.
  16. Ships and music. Your everyday person could probably reconize an ISD or X-wing and probably know where John William's Imperial March is from. Not to mention the special memories I have of the Imperial March. For High School graduation, myself and 7 other senior geeks and nerds paid off (about $270 total) the kid running the recording. So when the seniors came out for the cerimony, the Imperial March was playing instead of that crap song that has been played for years.
  17. Not to mention it looks really pretty when you make a planet go BOOM!!!
  18. Almost. I see that in a lot of mods... They almost get done. Many are very playable, they just lack polish which can be annoying if any bugs are over-looked on the last beta.
  19. "OMFG!!!" swift shouts after seeng that his army has turned on him. Horribly out numbered and out annoyed, he has no other course than to use his device to destroy the fodbo army. Un-fortantly, this fries the device rendering it useless. "Damn...." His station in shambles and most of his equipment destroyed again, swift is forced to step back all R&D for reconstruction. Also preperations will have to begin agian to create a new army, except this time they'll have mind control and self-destruct devices implanted.
  20. *After a lot of research and slamming of one's head into keyboards, the new and cyberneticlly-improved swift completes the most fearsome WMD in the known universe. Now that the final phase is complete, he prepares to un-leash this plague. "Yes, those meddlesome fools that tried to kill me and destroy my work will know true terror!!! GO FORTH MY FODBO ARMY AND DESTROY!!!" With that, he multi-billion fodbo army and space force goes out to destroy and generally annoy everyone and everything. "That should keep any meddlesome fools from bothering me... Well... At least untill I activate my pet project" After seeing his terror army go off, swift completes a second WMD. Maybe less horrible and annoying, but potentially more deadly. Playing off of a idea created by the late and great Douglas Adams, swift creates a semi-sentient device (can't have it having a free will, might have ideas of it's own) that can perceive, and act upon, all possible universes at once...*

    Old games

Favorite nostalgia wise would probably be Legend of Zelda for the NES. Favorite as in I still play it to this day would be Total Annilation
  22. Yet it managed to hit the suncrusher at least once.... I never could figure out how.
  23. May not be what your in it for, but I'm guessing what you'll get anyhow. Good luck none-the-less.
  24. You forget the lunatic factor Teradyn. Some of us think blowing stuff up in general is cool, resources be darned . Also it makes for a nice piece-o-bait. Once it's built, the rebs will want it dead for what it could potentially do, so they go after it. If you have the proper defense erected around it, you could do some serious damage to the reb cause. But whatever... As long as it blows up planets and causes fear and paranoia, I'm cool with it.
