  1. *While his pyhsical counter part goes running off into the field going on about cookies, Swifts memory back-up (What? You didn't think I would have a back up in case I got assassinated?) senses Gen. vaders sabotage efforts. After retrieving the skematics and technical data from a hidden (both physically and digitally) drive, swiftdraw takes over his fastest ship (a heavily modified A-wing) and makes his escape through the diminsional tear to continue his research. Oh, and Gen. Vader... Self destruct sequence activated... 3... 2... 1... Now think bright light, intense heat, and a horrendously loud "BOOM" that sounds like it's ripping open the sky.
  2. We can also agree this has been said many times on at least two other threads... WE NEED MORE NEWS, DARN IT!!!
  3. What would be the oppisite of balance? Un-balance? One way or another, a game is going to be balanced. It may be a perfect mixing of sides or it could balanced towards one team that can crush all challengers. On another topic: I hate n00bs, they ruin so many games
  4. *After losing all of his research, swift decides to activate the prototype... Though what will do is unknown...* Rolls a D% 00 - 01; I become a God 02 - 10; Nothing happens 11 - 30; It blows-up with the force of a supernova 31 - 50; Sputters, sparks, and smokes 51 - 70; Universe collapses in on itself, making a big crunch 71 - 90; Everything in the station is teleported to a different dimension 91 - 100; Time ceases to exist. *drum roll* I gots an 83, rolling for diminsion type. See D&D D.M.G. p.151 for possible outcomes. I roll a 66 * There is a tremendous shudder through out the station. Swift looks out a view port and sees bright sunlight, vividly colored plains of flowers and grass, and with a huge river off in the distance. "This will never do..." And with that, swift begins his research anew and prepares to fix the machine for another go*
  5. Same here, except I avoided joining figuring it would turn out to be more of the same in a few weeks. About every forum I've been on exploded into massive flame wars in about a month after going online. Exceptions being Evil Avatars forums (which, to my knowledge have always been in a constant state of flaming) and Atari's UT2k4 mod forums (which has very little.)
  6. *Meanwhile at the edge of the galaxy, swift is researching black holes, various portions of quantum physics, extra-diminsional theories, and studies on time. The Death Star III just doesn't seem to cut it anymore...*
  7. /\ Which is not to say his own intellect is terribly high.
  8. Good luck with that. I alway have at least my PPC (Pocket PC. Like a PDA, but better) with me. I like to stay up-to-date on things (I've campus wide wireless) and since my hand writing is absolute crap, I type my notes, homework, and such out. Now if I could only get on one those eye glasses attachments that relays stuff on your PPC to that...
  9. /\ Needs to get a life
  10. You and about everyone else has that problem...
  11. /\ Megalomaniacal post *censored*
  12. But, technically, all the clones would still be Jango clones considering Boba is a clone of Jango. The is no difference geneticlly between Boba and Jango, thus there would be no difference between Boba clones and Jango clones.
  13. Even then demo's aren't the greatest of indicators either. ey generally tend to leave out stuff and thigns may be removed or modified by the time final release comes around.
  14. I've the original Trilogy on VHS, the VHS collection that had the extra CG scenes, and had the DVD set but I seem to have mis-placed that somewhere in my move to Michigan.
  15. /\ Pyromaniac.... I respect that...
  16. I've always felt there is something inherently wrong with comparing Starcraft to most other RTSs. Starcraft is Starcraft. I've yet to run into any other game that can compare to it, good or bad.
  17. /\ Gundam fanboy deluxe... And he's canadian.
  18. O' how wrong art thou... Allow me to count the ways 1) All but 1 clan/guild/squad I've been in have simply there to have a group of like minded players keep in contact. It was easier to set up games that meshed with all our schedules. 2) Once you play with a certian group of people for a while, you get a feel for their tatics. A good team knows what each member is doing, how he/she is doing it and thus you don't have to worry about you arse is covered or not. 3) If your in a competitive clan that preticipates in tournies, if you don't improve you butt usually gets booted from the clan. I know this happens in CS:S CAL clans a lot. 4) I've never encounter a clan that dis-couraged solo play. Heck many of the competitive clans encourage solo net play to improve skill. I could go on, but my cousin's kid is screaming and I can't really concentrate....
  19. Yeah, but you got the hydralisk fairly soon after, they were actually stronger than marines and about the same cost (I think they had a vespine cost though.) I've stated this before, the rebs will start out with a planetary dis-advatage and thus a economic dis-advantage. They will not be able to research, much less build, such advance ships untill well after the imperial player does. Even an aggressive rebel commander who takes a lot of planets away from the imps early on will have to sink his/her resources into existing unit to help defend the gains and can only put a small amount into research. I bet you'll rarely get that 4-to-1 ratio you want. In Starcraft everyone started out on more-or-less the same footing.
  20. Katana fleet anyone? The Victory class is also a hold over from the Republic days and screens show the Acclumator (or was it the Vent-somethingornother) class. It's be nice if you could run across some hidden weapons stash, especially if your the rebels early on.
  21. I can still get to command my fleet of ISDs with a horde of escorting TIES. Yeah, the first screens released showed me what I wanted. I think I've made my feelings known about the Executor class, so I shead no tears for that. Pity about there being no interceptor, but I've always viewed TIE fighters as fodder anyways so the standard TIE will do just fine. As soon as I get my fleet rolling, I'm going to crank the Imperial March and watch the ensuing chaos.
  22. *finds he is only on a asteriod, because Swift blew up the planet.*
  23. Man... If thats an example of what EaW will be, that think has nothing on UT2k4... I might be a passable coder in 2-3 weeks if thats the case, if I keep working at it.
