  1. For the third film, I now definitely think they should do a movie centered around Two-Face. He could have survived the fall, and right now has the best emotional tie to Batman. Bring on Bane for the supporting role, but bring back Two-Face for sure. Oh, and they should just leave Robin out of the equation. That's another character that would not transition well to Christopher Nolan's more realistic Batman.
  2. Yeah, me too.
  3. There are plenty of villains on the Batman roster to choose from, but who would make the best transition to the big-screen is the question. However, I have faith in Christopher Nolan. If anyone can pull it off he can, as he has demonstrated. If they do The Riddler, I don't want him to be a carbon copy of The Joker, like in the previous franchise. There's always Catwoman, but I wouldn't want the movie to be a cheesy love story. Spoilers.... I'm glad they did not kill the Joker. This leaves him available for future sequels. Problem is, who would play him now? One thing that made The Dark Knight so good is the chemistry Batman and the Joker have. Oh, and they could do a movie centered around Two-Face. They could say that he did survive the fall, but they told the public that he died. They made it pretty clear at the end of The Dark Knight that they didn't want the general public to know what Harvey Dent did. At the beginning of the sequel, he could be locked up in Arkham Asylum under a fake name.
  4. Personally, I don't know how they can top The Dark Knight. It almost leaves you with the feeling that they shouldn't even make another Bat-film after that. Did anyone else notice what I thought were "nods" or "throw-backs" to the 1989 Batman film? Highlight to read the spoilers... 1) In Batman 1989, the Joker and Batman play chicken with each other. Batman charges towards Joker in his Bat-Jet, shooting at him and misses. Joker pulls out a gun with a long barrel and blows Bats out of the air. In Dark Knight, Batman charges towards Joker on his Bat-cycle. Joker doesn't move and causes Bats to crash. 2) In Batman 1989, at the end, Joker and Batman are fighting it out at the top of Gotham Cathedral. Joker goes to escape, but Batman uses his grapling hook to stop him, which causes Joker to fall to his death. In Dark Knight, Joker and Batman are fighting it out from the top of a skyscraper. Batman throws Joker over the edge but uses his grapling hook to save him from death. It's almost as if Christopher Nolan was saying "This is how it should have been done." If that's the case I agree. Batman and Joker are the two sides of the same coin. One will always need the other. Gotham City just wouldn't be the same without the two of them.
  5. All of the sudden, it just got a lot hotter in here....
  6. I just got back from seeing The Dark Knight. It was by far the best Batman film I have ever seen. In fact, it was the best movie I've seen this year. But, don't take my word for it. See it yourself.
  7. Today, I got Devil May Cry 4 for the PS3. I haven't played it yet, but intend to tomorrow. I'll let you all know how it goes. Geez, I got too many games....
  8. Ok, just to let you all know, Ninja Gaiden: Sigma is fun. However, it is also hard. Some parts of this game take some cracker-jack timing.
  9. This September my wife and I are going to Disneyworld for a few days. My wife works for the airlines, so we get to fly for free. Last time I went there was back in the 80's.

  11. My favorite Metal Gear Solid games (from most favorite to least) are: Metal Gear Solid Metal Gear Solid 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 Metal Gear Solid 2
  12. @ Krytos: What is Metal Gear Solid about? That's a whole can of worms right there. To even understand part 4, you'd have to play all of its predecessors, otherwise you'd beseriously )lost. It's basically a action/espionage game. In the first Metal Gear Solid game (which was on the original Playstation) you are Solid Snake, who is a member of a special forces unit. You are sent to infiltrate the terrorist's base and stop them from using a new weapon. The game involves you sneaking around the base, gathering weapons and equipment, fighting enemy soldiers (gun fights or hand to hand), fighting bosses, and of course destroying the enemy's weapon: Metal Gear. The sequels 2 and 3 follow a similar formula, and part 4 wraps up everything, bringing the series to an end. The games have deep and complex storylines, so it's almost like watching a movie when playing them. You should at least try part 1 and then go from there. This week, I also bought Ninja Gaiden: Sigma for my PS3. This is a really good fast paced action game. I haven't got very far into yet, but so far it's been fun.

  14. I recently puchased and finished Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. And let me just say that it not only wraps up the series, but it is also well worth the money.
  15. I was not putting my endorsement on it. I'd be reluctant to try something like that too due to the possibility of messing up my engine.
  16. Ha! Hey guys, check this out! http://www.watermakefuel.com/
  17. It's too bad that the sequel, Hannibal, didn't stay true to the ending in the book. It was much better.
  18. The original Dawn of the Dead is one of my all-time favorite movies. It set the standard for zombie films. The Crow is a good movie too. Too bad its sequels are lacking.
  19. Personally, I don't like the Redux version. I feel the original flows better. There's a lot of stuff in Redux that makes the movie drag.
  20. Last night I bought Apocalypse Now: The Complete Dossier on DVD. I contains both the original and the Redux versions of the movie. And what a treat it is. For those who are unfamiliar with is, the movie is set in the Vietnam era and is about a U.S. solider (Martin Sheen) who is sent on a mission that "does not exist". The mission is to "Terminate" the command of an U.S. Army Colonel (Marlon Brando) who has gone insane and is still operating in the field. This movie really shows how ugly war can be. Look for an appearance in the beginning made by a young Harrison Ford.
  21. Next thing you know o'l Lucas will want to hack up the first three Indy films and add...new and exciting CGI scenes! And of course he will release the Indy trilogy over and over again in the next 10 years or so, and each time he does he will fall that much further from grace.
  22. I went and saw Indiana Jones last night, and like DarthTofu, I was disappointed. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was an "ok" movie, but the only reason it is getting any fame at all is because it is riding on the coat tails of it's predecessors. If this was the first movie of the franchise there probably wouldn't be any sequels. They should have done a movie where Indy finds Atlantis or Excalibur. Either that, or they should have just left it as a trilogy.
  23. Well, here's an update on the situation: Lucasarts and I have been emailing each other for a couple of weeks now trying to resolve this issue. They have suggested that I try a number of things, but none have fixed my problem so far. I am awaiting their latest email... Oh, I tried to install Knights of the Old Republic today. It doesn't work either. It installs, starts up, but when I get to the character creation screen it crashes. I tried some of the suggestions Lucasarts gave me concerning Empire at War, but those didn't work either.
  24. I saw Iron Man last night and was impressed. It was one of the best comic book movies I've ever seen.
  25. I'm thinking about doing that. The only problem is, is that I have to hunt down all of the drivers I need for my computer, unless there is some way to extract them from the setup disk HP have me for the computer. I would love to do that, as it would certainly free up a lot of RAM, RAM that Vista needs in order to make itself look pretty. WORK HARDER EVERYONE! GEORGE LUCAS NEEDS YOUR MONEY!
